My tire blew on the 8, about 20 miles away from Gila Bend on a Sunday. I called all the tire shops in hopes they had someone on call even though they all said on google they were closed, even though some of them claimed to have 24 hour roadside assistance. The first place refused to answer my call after they tried to price gouge me and I thought they were my last hope when other places ended up being unavailable or not answering at all. When I called, he was willing to help immediately, and drove to the shop within minutes. Not only did he replace my blown tire, but he rotated all of the tires to make sure they were all in safer spots since he didn't end up having a second one of the tires I needed to replace the other side's balding tire. He didn't charge me a service fee, no fee for coming in on a Sunday, and no fee to rotate the tires. He could have taken advantage of my desperation of hours of trying to find someone to help me, but he didn't. I'm so incredibly grateful for his service! I'll never forget it! read more

His prices were fair and he got us on the road a quick as possible. The other " auto & truck repair" shop in Gila Bend told me 3 times they were on their way but never showed up. My family and I were driving home from Yuma, 16 miles away from our exit and two of my tires lost the treading. I looked up nearby tire shops and found Petey's, we called and they were very quick to check to see if they had tires available for us and for an additional charge even offered to bring the tires to us. Due to financial difficulties we opted to drive very slowly, down the breakdown lane to the shop. We got brand new tires at an incredibly low price and the staff started putting them on the car within minutes of our arrival. The staff was friendly, accommodating, co mforting and understanding. We have Roadside Assistance through our insurance, but they left us stranded in the desert. So we called Petey's Tire Shop. We had lost a major front end part while on Interstate 8 towards Yuma. Petey had to find us because we didn't know our exact location. Once he did, he had to diagnose the problem on the side of the road and then leave to go get parts. He returned, as promise, fixed our front end within 20 minute, and we were on the road again. Petey was fast, friendly, and proffessional. As things go sometimes, I had to use him twice in one day due to unusual circumstances. Both times he (Petey) was prompt, forthright with his excellent work and equally fair in his pricing. The first time was for a rolling flat when I pulled into the Love's truck stop with an oversize sailboat load on a hydraulic boat trailer. Love's tire service doesn't do little trucks (1-tons) with 17.5" trailer tires. That's toooooo small for them big boys. Anyway, it was the fuel desk that secretly passed me his ph#. Was there within a half hour with a new tire & we were completely done in another 45 minutes. Now that's service!! ... The 2nd time was a preemptive move at his shop to replace a suspect tire on the trailer & also to determine the overall serviceability of the space wheel. We put 1 new tire on the trailer & also replaced the space with a new tire as the load had now been re-routed to clear into Mexico at another port of entry. The new route we had to take into Mexico has no services for about 140+ miles. This additional work was done after hours at n/c. Now to me, this is good & honorable customer service. You know whom I would recommend to call 1st in this area based on my experience. The one who has his shop right here in Gila Bend just a short distance down the road from the Love's truck stop. read more
