This is a very welcome respite when on the road. The ice cream shakes are all great. The coffees are a perfect pick me up. So many choices to choose from. But what stood out to me was the date shake. Yes I know date land is known for their date shakes. But just a little way further east is this gem. Their date shake is so much better. Better taste. Better size. Better price. Do yourself a favor and skip Dateland if all you're stopping there for is the date shake. Travel another less than 20 minutes and come here. You won't be disappointed. Even better. The bathrooms are among the cleanest I've ever seen. Always clean and supplied whether inside or out. They sell Chevron gas and prices aren't horrible. This is the middle of nowhere gem you've been missing

Conde's Middle of Nowhere: The Hidden Gem I Almost Missed…read more For ten years, I've been driving to Arizona twice a month--twice! And not once did I stop at Conde's Middle of Nowhere. Why? Because it felt so remote it gave me the heebie-jeebies, like the kind of place where you half expect tumbleweeds and eerie silence. But this time, nature called, and I couldn't wait until Dateland. I reluctantly pulled over, and let me tell you--I've been sleeping on this spot for a decade! Conde's isn't just a store or a gas station--it's like stepping into a slice of old-town Americana that's been sprinkled with modern charm. Think quaint country vibes but updated with all the conveniences you didn't know you needed. They've got gas, soda machines, ice cream treats, shaded seating areas (thank you, Arizona heat!), and even a clean restroom--which, let's be real, is a rarity on these long desert drives. But the real star of the show? Conde's Café. I'm talking about date shakes with cinnamon, people! They've taken a classic and elevated it to a whole new level of delicious. And get this--when you order a shake, you get a FREE 24 oz reusable cup. Yes, you heard that right. A sustainable, guilt-free excuse to indulge. The shake itself? Smooth, creamy, and downright life-changing. Don't worry coffee lovers, the concoctions are downright flavorful enticing. From now on, forget Dateland. Conde's is where it's at. This place is warm, inviting, and gloriously uncrowded--no lines, no chaos, just good vibes and great service. Travelers, take note: this isn't just a pit stop, it's a must-stop. Do yourself and family a favor--pull over, grab a shake, ice cream, iced coffee or even a pop and take a breather. You'll thank me later. And please add more reviews. Gratuities are Good karma. Note: no electric charge stations like Dateland- that's the only missing link.
