Bought a golf cart from Pete, his wife, and his daughter. It is a family business. Bought my golf cart in July of 2020. Tried to sell it in March of 2021 to another golf cart dealer. Come to find out the frame of my golf cart was a 1999 when I was told that the frame would be a 2015. I paid 11,500 for a 1999 frame golf cart and now I can't sell it because the golf cart dealers do not want a frame that old. Pete, his wife, and his daughter are trying to justify it by saying that even though the frame is a 1999 everything on it is brand new and it shouldn't matter since the DMV is titling it as a 2020. The family business sticks together and when there arises a problem they throw their hands up and say we can't help you. They were quick to take my money and now they won't even buy it back. They were dishonest/ left out important info that a customer would need to know. They honestly thought I would never find out so they thought they could get by with it. I even let them know that if they would of been honest when I was buying it, I would of bought a new 2020 and they would of made more profit. I was on their side until the day they were dishonest/ not forthcoming about their product that they sell. If you want a golf cart in the island please go into Southport or Wilmington. Also, don't get fooled like me and know what questions to ask. Also, Pete is just the middle man. He hired all the work out and had someone else put it together. He wasn't involved in the process. Poor customer service. Tells you a time to drop off and nobody home when you get there. Business hours state open at 9:00 and the guy shows up at 9:45. Tells you he will call and let you know what is wrong and no calls. I left a cart for 4 days and nothing done to fix it. I picked it up and the guy started whining that he would fix it if I gave him more time. read more
