We could not have chosen a better team than Carl and his lovely wife Randee to capture every priceless moment at our wedding last August. Finding a well seasoned photographer who could magically capture my good side on my big day for a reasonable price and who could magically talk my now husband into a few corny couple shots was a pretty stressful task. I had heard of Carl and his great skills from a very good friend/co-worker who's known him for a very long time. She shared how he was starting his business and was trying his skills behind the camera, but had a good amount of experience in front of the camera as an actor. This bit of information was enough for me to trust that he could have a great knack for creativity. I discussed it with my fiancé and without ever looking at any of his work we hired him on a whim. We met him the day of our wedding about an hour or two before the ceremony, not knowing what to expect or what he would bring to the table. So happy that I found Petersen Pictures! I wanted to have a last minute "cake smash" session for my daughters first birthday, but didn't have a photographer! My friend was adamant about asking Carl at Petersen Pictures....she had recently received her photos back from her wedding. He was so accommodating and sweet. The shots were AMAZING!! He even captured several awesome family shots...which I must say, is no easy task with two less than photogenic adults and a squirmy baby!!! We LOVED him and his work was so beautiful....we knew we had totally scored, especially because we were still on the hunt for a wedding photographer! Carl is FANTASTIC! I had been an avid follower of his work on IG, and knew when my husband and I got engaged that Petersen Pictures was the only company I wanted capturing our most important day! Are you looking for a professional photographer, who makes all your pictures turn out great, and is really easy to work with? Shop no further, you are in the right place! There are so many things that I want to share with you about Petersen Pictures Photography, but here are the top two. 1. Our wedding was in winter as the sun was setting. Sounds beautiful, right? But there are so many different lighting issues. Carl took outdoor winter photos and then transitioned into the church as the sun was setting through a ton of windows, which cast light all over the place. We got our photos from Carl, AND THEY WERE ALL PERFECT! I couldn't have imagined better pictures in all ranges of light, indoor and outdoor, over 8 hours. He will give you the best quality of pictures in any setting. 2. If you're planning a big event or something else important, I strongly suggest working with Carl. My husband and I interviewed 3 other photographers before choosing to have Carl be apart of our special day. Although Carl was out of our budget we had the best feeling about him. We thought long and hard about it and decided lasting memories would be worth it. Our engagement session was a trial run in our minds and we were completely impressed and even more excited for our wedding. Not only is he a quality photographer, but he made us feel so comfortable and beautiful. We were always able to reach him and he was happy to answer any questions we had. I am typically awkward behind a camera, but Carl and his assistant Randee made me, my friends, and family feel so comfortable! Carl traveled to Washington State to photograph my wedding and I am absolutely thrilled with the photos. The way he captured each emotion is incredible. He was organized from the very beginning providing an itinerary for the day which gave me a great idea of what to expect. Carl was responsive and fun to work with. He helped us plan out our first family photo session with our 5 month old twins.
