When I found out I was pregnant it was the perfect opportunity for maternity photos. It's a tricky thing when you're hiring a photographer because you never know if they are going to capture that feeling/ ambiance you are looking for. More importantly you never know if you'll work well together. If you don't feel comfortable with the photographer or if they don't give you enough direction, the pictures won't turn out. Being a sometime photographer myself, I am pretty picky when it comes to photos. Carl was thorough in giving tips for before the shoot like what to wear, making a Pinterest board, etc. He was very relaxed when we met which made it easy to spend the next 1.5 hrs together. What I appreciated the most is that he took the time to make sure the pose and lighting was just right. He also paid attention to details like my hair or if something was on my dress or patting down weeds. Most importantly, he has the eye for creative shots. He nailed the vibe I was going for. Just look at his photos and you'll know that Tacoma has just scored one of the best photographers out there. Loved my photos. You'll love yours too!

So grateful to have found him and that he was able to fit us in to create a phenomenal set of lasting memories.

I always wanted to do my engagement session in the mountains since we're from Chicago and there's none of that around there. After much research (aka Googling), we decided to have our photos done at Hurricane Ridge in Olympic National Park which was the PERFECT mountain backdrop, especially during golden hour and sunset. I found BreeAnna from Googling Hurricane Ridge engagement photos and absolutely LOVED her work and knew we had to contact her. She is very responsive and answered all of the questions I had! She really knows where the best spots are to take pictures and is not afraid to go off trail. She also made us feel so comfortable given that we are the most awkward photo subjects and the photos turned out AMAZING!! Also, I had no idea she was also making a video from our session so she really went above and beyond our expectations. All in all, I would highly recommend her for an engagement session!

The photos made me feel beautiful and feminine while in realty I felt like a big house When it came time for the newborn shoot I was very anxious our first week home with baby had been blissful but stressful and I didn't know how things would go with a newborn and trying to get him to do what she needs to get the beautiful photos you see her post and now I know how she gets them , she is kind, gentle, patient and calm . Just walking into the studio you are put to ease it's so cute and calming in there . Then when it came time to shoot again she is so prepared for whatever baby might throw at you that day she takes her time and just knows exactly what she is doing. I wish I could better articulate just how thankful I am for finding her to do these photos sessions she is amazing

We spent a few days going back and forth discussing what went wrong with my color selections. In the end she edited the 2 white background photos to the grey color I preferred and she edited grey from all the others as well. Unfortunately it's been well over 2 years so the extra pics I wanted to go through have been long deleted but she offered to refund me for the extra prints I had paid for which I think is very fair.

The night before our wedding she canceled on us we were in shock and left scrambling to find a photographer. she claimed to have a a cold or something and gave us some other photographer to contact because she didn't feel good although she still managed to have a photo shoot for some other wedding the same weekend . This was all around 10PM the night before our wedding. ugh the panic set in. we had no choice but to use some other sub she recommended we use. so we did. The photo shoot was a total fail. not the style we hoped for. we then had to contact vanessa repeatedly to get our photos that looked like they all had the same bad filter with hardly any of the photos we hoped for. FYI don't pay in full before you get the photos and make sure she didn't double book the wedding dates like she did with us. because she had photo shoots on the same weekend wedding dates as ours and posted them on her website.
