Peterborough Central Library is the largets library in Peterborough. Aside from lending books, it also lends CDs DVDs, has internet access, a children's area, a periodicals section and adjoins the John Clare Theatre.
The library is quite modern and has undergone a facelift in the past few years. If you are a member you will be issued a card that will aloow you to check books out at the self service kiosks, book time on the computers, and also allow you to view the stock and reserve or renew books online.
It is quite a well stokced library in terms of books and the staff are quite helpful if you are looking for something in particular. It also hosts a book group that is the the first Thursday of the month in the evening and I think another on a Saturday in the daytime.
Open 7 days a week, this library is used by many members of the community and is an asset to the city. read more
