I have nothing but bad things to say about this place, its dirty not clean so much dust. but the worse is that they don't take care of their patients my daughter had her braces over 3 years, and he would just say come back follow up appt well know 3 years after her teeth are still not good had to take her with another dentist because he did not pay attention what he was doing. there was one occasion when she went in for color change and he was already going to remove a tooth when i stopped him and said what are you doing, he totally does not know his patient or what they are there for. please if you still going with him stop i know he is cheap and just wants the money but in the long run it will cost you more. know my daughter needs to start all over with braces and will cost me a lot more money. he should not be doing this kind of work. i don't know how the state has not shut him down. read more

Who ever the receptionist is she has a bad attitude do not go here. I asked if they can run my insurance and she says I have to do it myself? read more

Terrible Dentist, i had gotten my braces there and all i could say is that they are lazy with what they do. They don't care about your smile. They completely shifted my top teeth because they only removed a molar from my left side when they were suppose to remove my right side molar too. read more

Doctor Peter Yang has a new office on West Romie Lane, in Salinas, California. The office sometimes has many patients, since people from all over the Salinas Valley know that he will help them. He cares about all people, and works in dentistry to provide people with excellent dental care. Doctor Yang is a bright young dentist who works diligently to provide everyone with good dentistry. He attended the top Universities in the San Francisco Bay Area on scholarship. His dental practice includes several different specialties. He was very fair with me, and he offered extra time to meet my dental care situation. I recommend the office of Doctor Peter Yang - so long as you are able to wait for other patients to also get the care they need. read more

Convenient new location. Great staff. Clean facilities. Dr Yang is great! I feel no pain and he is fast and thorough. He's worth the wait.

worst place ever! the staff is rude asf! these "women" must have miserable lives to talk to people the way they do. no maners. no morals for hipaa. straight garbage! ive heard them talk about patients in the lobby after they walk out. today i had to wait 8hours for a retainer, and then they added an extra 30 minute wait because the lady that makes them was late to work. like wtf? the staff has absolutely no respect for patients. dont waste your time or money here! read more

Horrible very extremely horrible service. I booked an appointment just to show up and have 30 people ahead of me and a line out the door and the lobby was full. I kept over hearing some say they had been there for hours. read more

Peter Yang, DDS - General Dentistry Near Me - Salinas, California

He is a nice guy and the price was very affordable for me:) sure sometimes it took while on the waiting time but it was worth it

Whom ever gave good reviews must be related. One of the good reviewers has only one review in their whole profile -reading S.B reviews sums up what you will experience. Office smells! Unfriendly staff- they don't have scrubs! Cleaning - was not a cleaning! Took 5 minutes!! Dentist only cared about what type of insurance I had before he started my procedure Dentist jumping from chair to chair- Worst place ever! read more

I have nothing but great things to say about Dr. Yang and his staff. At first I was a little intimidated by the number of people in the waiting room, but I soon discovered these people were individual patients AND their entire families. Although there were only 4 patients ahead of me, there were about 30 people in the waiting room. Seriously. Anyway, it was soon discovered that they no longer take my insurance, but the receptionist told me he'd check out my toothache anyway FOR FREE, and give me options. Once I got back into the office and the assistant took an x-ray, the doctor came in RIGHT AWAY, took a look, said I needed 2 root canals- and then gave me a recommendation for a dentist that takes my insurance! Above and beyond the call of duty. AND he gave me a prescription for antibiotics and pain medicine. Don't listen to those negative reviews. I don't think those people live in the real world. Dr. Yang is friendly, professional, and approachable. If he took my insurance, I'd be his patient right now read more

Place is horrible front counter girls extremely rude and classless! Cut me off in the middle of me speaking! Need people skills especially as faces of your office! This place sucks please stay away! They have no respect for people and their time! Why give an appointment if you are not going to respect it. Please avoid at all costs!!' Id rate it less if I could! read more

Went to him for braces years back and he made fun of me right in front of me because my teeth aren't great. He told the assistant "wild Wild West and started laughing" then he realized what he did and he said "oh we aren't talking about you". My teeth didn't turn out good after the braces were off they just seemed to kind of pop out more. Terrible practice would not recommend to anyone even if you want to save a buck. read more

This place is horrible ! Had braces for over 3 years & my teeth ended up worse then when I started. He is not an orthodontist! Wish I would have known sooner. Waiting times are ridiculous & if you want to schedule appointments good luck because They reach out via text or never return calls. Extremely unprofessional & doctor only sees you for like 5 minutes literally just glances and let's the technicians do their thing. read more

Unlike the other review I have to say I was very pleased with my experience at Dr. Yang's office. I've seen him about 3 times. Everytime I've gone in he has been very professional, honest, and understanding. I have huge dental anxiety; due to a past experience with another dentist (yes, there is such a thing) So for me, to say that I like him is a big thing because I don't normally like dentists and I'm scared to death of them. I went in on Mother's day (A Sunday) Most dental offices aren't open on Sundays so this is a big plus for me; since that's my day off. His staff is super friendly, always. The receptionist greeted me right away and Dr. Yang was able to see me even 5 minutes before my scheduled appointment. I didn't feel like this was a ghetto experience at all. Dr. Yang has an office in Morgan Hill and I have absolutely no problem traveling over there to see him at that office too. read more

Bad customer service, receptionist and scheduling need training on how to handle customers and greet them as appropriate. Wait time is horrible and there's something fishy on how insurances get billed. Never I have rcvd a summary of explanations or charged for anything. read more

NOT a good experience. As a matter of fact, a GHETTO experience. Yikes. What the hell was I thinking? Sure, you were friendly. Sure, your receptionist was friendly. But, your DENTAL services... Way way way subpar. Okay, I'm new to my current work and this dental office is between my work and home. I did absolutely NO research, which is not like me. Took a chance and went off a list from my insurance. BIG WRONG IDEA!!! SO FAR, ONE OF MY GREATEST REGRETS OF 2011. God, I miss Dr. Bialecki from Lake Arrowhead, and Dr. Ballard from Wilsonville, OR. Anyway, let's start from the beginning... I follow the driving instructions and find myself in some random residential area. There is no parking lot so I parked on the street. This is Salinas. Park on the street or drive on the street at your own risk. WTF am I doing? Anyway, I walk in. The Spanish channel is on. Welcome to Salinas. There is not enough seating for everyone. I suddenly had the strange suspicion that this office has a tendency to overbook. Get the patients in and out quickly, and bill bill bill. It appears that it's quantity rather than quality here. Just a strange suspicion... Ha! Anyway, I waited for 40 mins before I was called in. Clearly, appointments don't mean shit. I was taken to the 2nd room on the left. I looked around. A sweep and a mop would do some good. It's not a good sign when your dental office needs to be cleaned. I was worried about the equipments. Sigh. A dental assistant proceeds to do x-rays, just three. One on my right cheek, left cheek, and one in the front. I don't know, but I swear my previous dentists have taken more, but whatever... I told her that my previous dental records from my long time dentist might be helpful. She then begins to polish my teeth and tells me that there are no dental hygienists in the office. NONE. The dentist does his own cleaning. Okay, so in comes the dentist. He looks around my mouth, asks me if I brush too hard, and tells me my teeth look good. He then starts to clean my teeth. No manual scraping at first. Nothing. Just straight to the electric cleaning thingy. And, within mins, he was done. I was out of there in about 20 mins. WTF! What happened to my pocket measurements? Don't all dentists at least measure gum pockets? What happened to reviewing the x-rays with the patients to review potential problem areas? I asked if my x-rays looked okay. He said they're fine. I don't know. Given that he's the only dentist with a billion patients in different chairs waiting for him to DO EVERYTHING, I doubt he had a chance to review them (all three of them!). Long story short. Well, long story long now, I will not be returning. I am curious to see what is ultimately billed to my insurance. Ha, dental examination my ass! Oh, and to top it all off, I went home WITHOUT a goodie bag! I've been too spoiled. I'm used to going home with toothbrushes, floss, etc. Here, I got nothing. I came out and the waiting room was still a zoo!!! Oh, why, why, why did I do this?!?! God, this place sucked! Wish I was home in Arrowhead or back up in Oregon. I might have to fly home just to see my old dentist! I know that my insurance will be covering the bill, but still... I left feeling like fraud was just committed on my insurance! And, that, my dearest, is a rather shitty feeling! read more

I just read the rest of the reviews and they have left me thinking. Yes, the place is not that clean or great looking (I noticed that too but I thought I was being too picky). I have to say Dr. Yang does seem professional. All staff is friendly. You do have to park out in the street. The times that I have taken my son, there have been enough seating and we get helped on time. A cleaner and better looking office would be nice. read more

I had my braces for 2 1/2 year and honestly it's some what affordable but it really sucks! I really hated there service they are always rushed because they have so many people. The waiting room is always full and you even have to wait outside for your turn and it's takes hours to get seen but if your going for a consultation they attend you super fast to make you feel that there service is good and everything but it's really not and they are always changing staff, Every unprofessional. Good luck finding a parking space too. Dr.Yang only takes about less than 5 mins with each patient. You really do get what you pay for! read more

Terrible service! Never come here if you want to wait for more than 3 hours when you have a scheduled appointment. Worse staff ever so rude and hair all over the floor! read more

Their service is very slow.. Had an appointment at 11am and it's 12:30pm and barely going in.

Definitely would not recommend this dentist. The wait is ridiculous up to 2-3hrs wait even with appointment. The waiting room is tiny, only enough for about 13 people. The staff is very rude. Usually there is always people waiting outside because it get so full since they only open 4 days a week. It's cheap but, you get what you pay for... read more

Dr. Yang is affordable but you get what you pay for. Parking is non-existent and good luck finding a space in the street. Once in the office don't expect to be greeted as the receptionist is busy answering phones, confirming appointments and taking payments. the tiny waiting area is always busy and waiting 30 minutes to be seen even with an appointment is typical. The staff is friendly but always on the move and rushing though your dental needs. The Dr. Is very professional but too in and out in no time, if you have questions ask before he leaves because he will not ask if you have any questions. If you tight on money this is the place to go, but if you can wait and pay a little more I recommend other places. read more

Hi Highly recommend Doctor Peter Yang. I DO NOT like going to the dentist! Peter was recommended to me by a friend. I made an appointment with Doctor Yang because I had the WORST tooth ache. Doctor Yang saved my tooth!!! It did not hurt that much for my root canal and I was amazed!! Doctor Yang was quick, very professional, great staff, clean office and I have recommended all my friends and family to Doctor Yang. Also his pricing is super fair and he will work with you regarding insurance or no insurance. read more

Awful office, awful doctor, didnt take any time to answer my questions or to examine my teeth!

Zero Stars. I do not recommend. Poor communications throughout the office from reception to assistants to the dentist himself -- they do not explain the process of what they are doing to you, they just do and after you are done, they give you a cup to spit and swallow and send you out the door. Also bad experience with the billing department (again lack of communication). The do not explain their billing practices when you are there. MAKE SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THEIR BILLING PRACTICES. My insurance didn't cover $50 of the bill and they didn't bother to explain. Received the bill Feb. 3 for $50 (first invoice sent - and it was two months after provider services), with a due date of Feb. 12 (two weeks). Tried to pay today Feb. 25 (three weeks after receiving their invoice - not 30 days, not 60 days, not 90 days - three weeks after receiving their first invoice) and was told IT WENT TO COLLECTIONS and they want $326, now. To top it all off, when I called, they told me they called my house - but the number she read to me was NOT MY NUMBER. Their carelessness and inaccuracies is costing me. As I value my credit, I find their business practices appalling. I will not recommend. read more
