I've seen advertisement for 5-6 ft or 6-7 ft and the quality/fullness of the trees seem to varies on the landscapers. This season was also apparently tough on inventory and some of the landscapers I spoke with had trouble getting the trees at the right height we wanted. (I know construction supplies are low too, we've been looking into other home reno projects) Jack was very responsive from the beginning when I first reached out and when I asked, sent me photos, video and even face timed me to show me examples of the trees I would be getting. His brother also paid an in person visit and chatted with my neighbor and I about what they can do and the location for planting. I spoke with a few other landscapers but ultimately went with J&R because they were responsive, straightforward and the price was competitive! The trees ended up looking great, fat and tall and gave me instant privacy!!

Now isn't that nice of them to do that to a long time customer ! I had noted to Charles as I have in the past many times that my grass looks awful in some spots. You think maybe he would stop by, never ! As in the past, he does not show his face and explain things that can be done to take care of the problem. Just invoice, invoice, and invoice is all he cares about. I would never recommend them to anyone. Also, check those invoices for added items that you did not want such as fertilizers, weed killer, etc. This was done to me so many times over the years that when I decided to truly look at the past invoices I realized he has been charging me for services that I told him I do not want and I told him this many many times. Made an appointment for a consult and got an email asking me to confirm by emailing back with YES,…read morewhich I did. No one showed up. I called and a woman scoldingly told me I did not confirm. I told her I did, and I said I'm looking right at my email where I replied yes. She said in a nasty tone, "Well I'm looking at my system and it does not have a confirmation from you." I said "I don't care what your system says. I did confirm. I'm looking right at it." She repeated, very argumentative and condescending when she should've been apologizing: "I'm looking at my system and everyone else is confirmed but you're not." I said angrily, "Then your system is broken because I confirmed! Check your email. I confirmed." Now she yelled at me "Don't speak to me like I'm a child." Excuse me? She should've been APOLOGIZING for standing me up. IN ADDITION: This whole business of "confirming" is ridiculous. I made the appointment, and I didn't cancel it. Even if their system somehow missed my confirmation (which is inexcusable) you don't CANCEL an appointment without contacting the customer. The email made it sound like confirmation was optional. It said: "Hello. This is a reminder that Phil will be with you on (date) between 2:30 & 3:30pm. Thanks, Dom's Landscaping. Reply yes to confirm or visit (website). Thank you." That email says Phil is coming! It does NOT say (but it SHOULD say): "If you don't confirm, we won't show up, and we won't even contact you to let you know we're standing you up." Since that is apparently their policy, they need to make that clear. But again, I CONFIRMED! I have proof. And I waited! And no one came. And when I called, I got scolded, even though it was THEIR FAULT. This is a terrible business.
