I loved that we all had our own cottages and in the mornings we would gather at one and have breakfast and coffee together, just catching up. There was so much to do as well. The kids had a blast in the pool and some went fishing on the dock. We played games and chatted for hours. The cottages were well stocked and comfortable. I rented the 2 bedroom and it had 2 ac units to keep the place cooled down. I only had 2 gripes during this stay: 1. The shower head in the restroom. I'm not saying that it needs to be a rainfall shower head but a regular shower head set up in the ceiling isn't working. They need to just move it where a regular shower head goes, on the wall. 2. The bug bites. I mean, I get it, it's right on the water but no amount of bug spray worked. No home remedies worked. You just had to take it. I walked out of there looking like I have chicken pox but I had a great time! Other than that, everything was amazing! Tami and Lynn were great and any questions we had they were both ready to help. I will definitely come back but it won't be in the summer, I have learned my lesson lol.

What a good find…read more.. This area was not on my radar at all. We simply wanted to visit a friend in the area that was moving and she recommended staying here over the nearby hotel chains. This is a wonderful place to stay if you are looking to get away for some relaxation without all the heavy tourist activity, etc. It is quiet and has everything you need. There is a pool, beach access and other amenities, plus, there are a few restaurants (with bars) nearby. The rooms are comfy and are supplied with a fridge, microwave, dishes, etc. The hotel offers a great view whether you are on the bay side or not. If you are looking for something to do in the area then Bradenton, Tampa and St. Petersburg are nearby with a plethora of activities and sites to meet everyone's desires. Lastly, there is complimentary parking with your stay in a protected garage area assigned by the building you are staying. The check in/out staff was friendly and informative. Please note: Currently they don't attend to the rooms every day with the pandemic. However, if there is anything you need...just let them know and they will get it to you, handle it, take care of it, etc. A "con" is that one elevator was not working when we were there and the working elevator is slow. Please note, you press the button to "call it", the light may go off and the doors won't open...you need to press the button again to open or else you'll find yourself standing there wondering what is going on. Strange I know, but it is what it is. The broken & slow elevator issue can be frustrating if you are in a hurry, exhausted, etc...so be prepared! Plus, you are supposed to keep your distance from folks with the pandemic, however, some folks ignore that and pile in. With one elevator broken and the other running slow...things like this happen. Oh...and I'm still not sure why there is a "resort fee" when the amenities they have come free with other hotels, but perhaps I missed something spectacular. Personal note: Beds and pillows are ok, but if you are driving in I'd bring my own pillow. It's great the rooms have ceiling fans...woot! The shower curtain is torn and off the hooks, and both bedrooms have vertical blinds with several missing slats and one wouldn't close all the way. Upon our arrival the key wouldn't open the front door and we had to wait on the porch for 20 minutes in the cold for maintenance technician to arrive. Not a way we wanted to start off a wedding weekend. Let's hope they come clean the mold away tomorrow See photos. Worst of all...... NOT ACCESSsaBLE and nobody told us. This was my first time staying at an all-inclusive resort, and disappointment is an understatement…read more The building itself is in desperate need of renovations, as many areas are outdated. From the outside, the hotel looks rundown, with paint chipping off the exterior. The pools had several slimy areas and even some rusted spots. They also use an overwhelming amount of bleach to "clean" the hotel, but it honestly feels like it's just masking the musty smell. The elevators felt like a safety hazard. After reading previous reviews about people getting stuck in them, I was already nervous, and they slam shut when the doors close. The "all-inclusive" experience didn't feel very inclusive. According to the hotel's app, the specialty restaurants were fully booked all week. However, every time I walked by, many of them looked half empty. It seemed like they only accommodated certain guests, and the reservation system was unnecessarily difficult to use. I was told reservations could be made 48 hours in advance, yet I stayed there all week and was never able to get one. It felt like a scam. The coffee stand that served lattes and baked goods was also disappointing. The coffee was consistently poorly made, and nothing really stood out. The buffet was the only decent dining option, but who wants to eat at the same buffet every day on vacation? Room service was another letdown. It consisted of basic turkey sandwiches, chips, and mediocre desserts. There were no hot meal options available. The liquor dispensers in the room also looked like they had been there for years and were stocked with low-quality brands that even many locals probably wouldn't choose. The bathrooms were outdated and had the same musty feel as the rest of the room. When you're paying the prices this hotel charges, you expect an experience that actually impresses you. My first trip to the Bahamas was ten times better than this one, and I stayed in an Airbnb with locals for a fraction of the price. Do yourself a favor and stay at Atlantis or another well-reviewed all-inclusive resort. Better yet, consider staying at an Airbnb and exploring the island. This resort simply doesn't do the Bahamas justice.

Before I could even finish saying, "Good morning, i am here to check in." A man at the front just started going on and on about how check in isn't until later there is nothing that we can do and etc. i called my mom because i didn't even say anything and wasn't in the mood to go back and forward, he was extremely rude to her on the phone until she named dropped Kimmie. Then all of a sudden he had a room available for check in. Funny enough Kimme is the one who was telling my grandmother not to worry about it or him and that everything would get situated. We checked into room 101. Which smelled like mold, had a broken toilet, telephone , and several roaches. I walked to the lobby(the phone was not working) to tell them. The man who was rude earlier insisted on us staying in the room because they will fix the toilet. Kimmie however made sure he moved us to a new room. As i was walking to the front to tell the front desk about the room my grandmother let me know room service and maintenance just walked into fix the toilet without knocking. She said they told her "they didn't think anyone was in the room" which makes sense to me if check in is normally at 2. But poor communication in the staff nonetheless. Ive got to say the best thing about the place was Kimmie and the house cleaning staff. I wouldn't recommend this stay to anyone but my worst enemy.

This is a review for the Vinoy Spa…read more They are having a local only Spa package that comes with a massage, a facial, and $25 to either parasol or Paul's landing. Since the facial and massages are usually $225.each, this is a pretty good deal. The one major downside to the spa is the valet parking. You get two hours validated for $12, but then it is $12 an hour after that. If you get to the spa early to make sure you're not rushed, plus spending time after eating, this ends up being a not inexpensive valet parking bill. I'm really surprised there isn't a flat rate or that they don't validate more of your parking. Especially given how expensive the treatments are. I have to say I like the hard rock spa a lot more. The main reason is because the facilities here are small and seem a little rundown. The actual spa services are separate from where their steam room and salt room is. So you have to walk in your robe through the hallway to get from one to the other. Also, the salt room and steam room weren't turned on when we got there so we had to wait for both rooms to heat up. It is a bit confusing on how to turn them on, so we were lucky that one of the employees was nearby for us to ask. All the services are fantastic though. So if you're coming just for the service and not for a Spa experience, this place is pretty good. The massage was one of the best I've had in a long time. My masseuse really got into my back, which was fantastic. I thought the facial was well done as well. So if your plan is to come solo, this place isn't bad, but if you're coming with friends and want to experience more than just your services, I wouldn't recommend this place. I was also surprised that you don't get access to the pool with your Spa service, which is pretty standard for other places.
