In the long run, I guess Dr. Thompson is a decent dentist...the problem I have with our situation is that it took an extraordinarily long time to finish our dental work...and the "assistants" he has were adamant about saying they explained all that to us in the beginning...they DID NOT. I had dentures put in 15 yrs. ago....dentist (a different one) pulled my teeth, popped a set of dentures in, and in a month I was eating steak...Dr. Thompson, on the other hand, having pulled my husbands teeth and fitting him for a "tempory" set of dentures (which don't fit worth a damn) is saying its going to take probably a total of 7 months to completely finish his dental work...WHAAAT???? Its ridiculous...my husband cant eat, cant comfortably wear his temporary dentures even to go out (for looks sake)...anyway, I also had the posts put in my bottom dentures and that is even taking what I think is a crazy long amount of time....all this is costing us close to $20,000.00...I mean, if I had known it would take this long I certainly would NOT have had it done...I have to use Fixodent, but that was easier than this pain and inconvenience I am having to go thru now...everyone at his office promises it will "change my life"....right now, I would say, yes, it has....but for the WORSE....anyway, my suggestion to anyone wanting to get this done, is to ask ALL the questions...get it all in writing...and then make the choice...I made the wrong choice, but theres no turning back now, unfortunately...and as far as not being fitted for dentures in a timely manner, this really is unacceptable...any other dentist would have had his dentures in and working MUCH sooner.my hubbhy has lost almost 30 lbs., and he is miserable. read more
