I must stress,…read moreI'm in no position to buy my own kitchen anytime soon, but if I were to go for shopping for one - these guys would be the ones I'd go to first for ideas. And this is on pure aesthetic judgement alone, of course, but I imagine that once I am in a position to spend a lot on a kitchen it'll be so that it looks the part. One can search independently for reliable white goods, but style is not so easy to come by I guess. The first items to catch my eye were the glittery, chic lampshades, which dangled over a sleek work top. Everything seemed to be placed, not only for functionality, but for class and visual effect. Even the pots they had on display were mirror shiny stainless steel - so pristine that you could see yourself in them. I think it's the detail, and the lack of fuss, that I liked most. Given that my other rooms hold so much clutter it was nice to see a stylish space organised in a way that would hide all of the messy utensils and so on. Of course, their kitchen design isn't limited to this show room, there are many many other impressive designs on their website too so take a good browse. I think you'll agree, once you've navigated to their online gallery (it's not massively easy to find, but it is there) that there is a lot of choice and style going on!

(And girls, if that's more your thing!) I remember countless times nipping into Wilkos with my boyfriend for something like, shampoo say, and having to drag him away from all the tools and plugs and so on in some bizarre role reversal. This would be a similar kind of place I imagine, and so I'm rather glad I found it without his company! Generally speaking, they sell hardware, houseware, garden equipment, ironmongery and gifts. This essentially means that anything practical, rustic, perfunct and such lies within. Need a new washing bin? Done. Need a new shower head? Done. Need a new lawnmower? Done. Need a new iron? Done. Need a new set of dinner plates? Done. Need a new ... ad infinitum ... Done. You get the idea, right? They have almost anything housey that you could need.
