My only issue was that I wasn't told until right before my surgery that I may not be able to breast feed after this- I don't know how I feel about that, I probably still would've gone through with the surgery, but I should have have been informed ahead of time, not right before I went in for surgery. I went in wanting a relatively simple change: a dorsal hump reduction. I did NOT go in wanting an entirely different nose or a completely different face. Somehow, my entire face had been changed. My bridge was narrowed dramatically, my mid-bridge now has a visible indentation/dent, my nostrils have harsh lines around them that I absolutely hate, and I am now experiencing breathing issues that I did not expect to have after cosmetic surgery. My nose looks unnatural and over-operated. Instead of the subtle improvement I wanted, I feel like I was given a tiny, overly sculpted "Whoville" nose that does not belong on my face. And PLEASE read the other negative reviews. Some of the complaints sounded disturbingly familiar to my experience. The bedside manner after I became unhappy with the result was another major disappointment. He made comments about my original nose being "ugly," referred to it as a "beak" in front of my boyfriend, and suggested that I must have been extremely distraught about my nose to have surgery in the first place. That was simply not true. I actually liked my face. I wanted a small modification to my dorsal hump--not to have my entire nasal appearance changed. What was even more upsetting was what happened when I started expressing concerns about the outcome. Instead of feeling that my concerns were being seriously acknowledged, I felt dismissed. I was repeatedly told about swelling and healing and was diagnosed with body dysmorphia while I was pointing out specific, visible changes that I was unhappy with. Being told that you have body dysmorphia when you are trying to discuss a surgical result you can physically see is an incredibly upsetting experience. I have since sought opinions from other surgeons because I am trying to understand what happened and what can potentially be reconstructed or corrected. Revision rhinoplasty is significantly more complicated than primary rhinoplasty, and there are limits to what another surgeon can restore. That is why choosing the right surgeon the FIRST time matters so much. The revision surgeons are surprised at the aggressive reduction that doesn't suit my face not to mention collapse of the nose/airway. My biggest issue is that I do not feel the extent of the changes made to my nose reflected what I actually asked for. I wanted my dorsal hump reduced. I did not ask for an aggressively narrowed bridge, harsh changes around my nostrils, or an overall nose that looks completely different on my face. Please do not be persuaded solely by TikTok, celebrity advertising, social media, or beautiful before-and-after photos. FILTER THE REVIEWS AND READ THE NEGATIVE ONES FIRST. Look for patterns. Read what unhappy patients say happened when they raised concerns afterward. If you are considering rhinoplasty--even if you think you only want something small done--consider consulting a surgeon who practices modern preservation-oriented rhinoplasty and who is extremely clear about exactly what structures they intend to change and what your nose is expected to look like afterward. Dr. Cucin will do whatever he wants to your face, he doesn't think about the fine details nor discuss them with you. A lot of structure was removed and altered without my knowledge or discussion before hand. You have one face. You can always decide to have surgery later. All…read moreparts of her body were completely uneven, square, different sizes, lumpy, work that was paid for and not done. She now has been having revision surgeries with another surgeon that saved her life (when she was hospitalized for a week on 4 types of iv antibiotics and having her wounds packed properly). She's been having the revision surgeries for the past 3 years and still has more surgeries to go. He also Left her with multiple open wounds that tunneled. If she waited any longer and kept listening to him that she was fine and wasnt going septic and she had no infection. she would be dead. I told him this isn't normal and he dismissed me. In person and on the phone. She was close to losing breasts and limbs to the infections and sepsis. He Left dirty rotting gauze in her belly button for 3 weeks. Until one of his employees found it while taking her photos when she demanded to be seen for the wounds. The infections were severe and The type of bacteria can only come from dirty surgical equipment and ivs. He Refused to help her. Left her to go septic and kept telling us no to the hospital or any other opinions. Refused to send her her medical files and also falsified records. For 3 weeks before her being admitted to the hospital he refused to see her and had some of his employees pull out her drain, cut open her wounds, and remove the dead tissue in a hotel conference room of the Sheraton hotel. She even said she wants to have him see her and do it at the clinic and not have his employees with no medical title do it. He finally saw her the next week due to us showing up at the clinic because he called us to cancel the appointment and telling us he will tell us the same thing he did on the phone was to just pack the wound with improper techniques. But we werent having that. So we went in to that appointment. He was very rude and he had the same girls from the hotel conference room take his place after he walked out and was done with us. so They removed more tissue, opened the wound some more, they also improperly drained one of her seromas with a 7 inch needle with no ultrasound. They Could have punctured something like a lung. They took the fluid and kept squirting it out into a random trashcan because the syringe was too small to pull all of the fluid. That is just the long story short but she deals with revision surgeries and fixing multiple medical problems along with the same seroma that created a large sac in her stomach that has to be surgically removed. Due to him not properly helping her care for it it now fills up with fluid constantly and can only be released through lymphatic massages every 2 weeks. This was due to the wounds opening and having to remove the non working drain because it was pulling in air through her stomach wounds. Please find a different surgeon because he isn't the one. This is a glorified chop shop.
