When you enter the office, you are greeted by friendly staff who know what they're doing. All of the paperwork is automated and you just need to review and then sign the tablet. No paper, no pen, and since they populate most of the info for you from you insurance and ID cards, it's a huge time saver. There was zero wait time and I was called back into a room by the very amicable and professional, Valentina. She asked all of the pre-visit questions and really took copious notes on the reason for my visit and some historical questions. Once we were done, she quickly conferred with Daisy and then Daisy was in the room within a few minutes. Daisy was fantastic. She really listened to what had been going on, created a diagnosis and strategy and very thoroughly explained what she believed was happening, why it was happening and the steps we were going to take to get it under control. She wrote down the steps I needed yo take and gave me a couple of free samples to get me started. Check out was just as easy. Made the follow up appt for two weeks later, as per Daisy's request and off I went. It's been 4 days and my skin is getting back to it's warm and glowing self and just when I couldn't rave more about RSB Dermatology- I get a sure rise call from Daisy this morning to check on my progress. Shut the front door!! When does that ever happen? Apparently, it happens all the time here. So, long story extra long, I highly recommend and look forward to my next appt. During my first visit, I showed him a couple of small, keratosis like lesions that I suspected were cancerous. He agreed and did biopisies. The purpose of my second appointment was to inform me that the biopsies had come back positive for squamous cell carcinoma, something that I am quite familiar with being that I have very fair skin and grew up in a tropical climate. During this second visit, I pointed to yet another lesion on my chest which he had missed during the body check. Another biopsy followed and on my third appointment I was told that this lesion had also come out squamous cell carcinoma. Now, because these were very, very small and incipient, Dr. Wassef informed me that surgery was not needed. He would freeze all three with liquid nitrogen, a procedure that takes seconds and involves no extraction. Dr. Wassef could have done this during this visit, but proceeded to inform me that he would only be able to freeze one at a time because he would not be paid by my insurance otherwise. This was a first to me. As a dermatology patient for many years, the norm has always been to use the liquid nitrogen on various lesions at a time. Hence, on my next appointment, I asked him why he was having me come back time and again. His response was to point to his assistant, who was present, and inform me that he had to "pay for her salary". He then added that he also had to pay for his children's college tuition, etc. At this pronouncement, I felt extremely uncomfortable and decided to never go back to this practice. Fortunately, I was able to secure a quick appointment with my previous dermatologist in Miami and take care of ALL three lesions in a single appointment: one billed visit, one co-pay. Dr. Wassef is undoubtedly knowledgeable and competent in his field. He is also personable. What he is not is ethical. He embodies everything that is wrong with our greed infused medical system. What a shame.

I've been seeing Dr Weatherall for many years, in fact, I followed her here from another practice. She is extremely bright and knowledgeable. A caring and compassionate doctor, she goes above and beyond, takes her time to explain what's going on and thoroughly explains medications and treatments she's prescribing. I have never felt rushed and always feel that during my appointment, I have Dr. Weatheralls full attention. A few years ago, I was prescribed a medication that was not covered by insurance. The staff went out of their way with numerous phone calls and paperwork, to get me on a bridge program that was fully covered by the manufacturer. I was told that if there ever was a lapse in coverage, to call the office and they would supply samples. One time I left the office with a 4 month supply and a box of a topical that also isn't covered by insurance and I made a joke that the meds were valued at more than my handbag and jewelry combined! Over the years, I've had to reach out with questions. Call backs are usually the same day or first thing the next morning. When I had shingles, I called, left a message and within a few hours was told Dr. Weatherall was booked but I could see her PA Brooke the next day. Brooke was fantastic too. She was just as attentive and helpful and Dr. Weatherall took the time to stop in during the appointment. My son would see Elizabeth, who got his teenage acne under control. All in all, my family and I have all had nothing but positive experiences.
