Ruben, the owner and trainer was polite, friendly, and punctual. Just to emphasize how much help we needed, when I answered the door to greet him, our dog zoomed by us and out the front door, leading me on a short game of chase. Aside from this problem, we had issues with him jumping on people, pacing around the house constantly, and always getting in everyone faces when they sat down on the couch or dining table. Ruben was a total pro, he came right in and saw the issues we were having and explained everything he was going to show us and why it would be effective. Then the training began.. And within minutes the change in our dog was evident. Our dog was listening to our commands and minding what he was told. By the time the 90+ minute session was over, the dog's change in behavior was night and day, and not once during that session did Ruben look at his watch or try and wrap up prematurely. In fact he only left when he was certain we were on our way to having a well-behaved dog. This was the only place in the valley I could find that offered BEHAVIOR MODIFICATION for dogs rather than just obedience and parlor tricks. For me, that can come later, and will, but what I really needed was help with making my dog not be a nuisance to my guests and to us when we tried to relax. I can't recommend Ruben and K&B enough, and it's the best money we've spent on our new family member since we brought him home (except maybe for the hair cut and flea dip cause BOY did he stink!)

But if we had to board her again, we would drive from the Canadian border in Minnesota to his place to leave her. Jaime and his wife Mimi treat all their fur baby guests as if they were their children. The smaller dogs sit and sleep with them in their homes, which are attached to the kennel. The fenced-in back yard is for the large dogs to run and play, and the front fenced area is for the smaller ones to do the same.

I showed up (and called before) the person in the front had no idea what my cat was booked for? That was already off putting. I LET THEM KNOW as far as my knowledge (because I had recently adopted this cat) he had never been groomed, I was nervous about it and they could call me if he became unmanageable, no problem. I guess they aren't used to owners calling up to check on their pets? No idea that was a problem. I asked multiple times for time estimates which I understand couldn't be exact but you can't tell me an hour? Two hours? But after I have a terrible experience THANKS TO SKYE AND THE OWNER wants to tell me "it usually takes 4-5 hours" lmfao. What a joke. I was told I would be called after my cats haircut to be informed wether he did well or not, and if they would proceed with a bath. AGAIN, no call. I've been the one asking if my cat is ok, when is he going to be seen, etc. YES OF COURSE I'm going to call and ask about my cat? I communicated that it was his first time there I was worried and it's reasonable to ask for a time frame. The owner had little remarks to make when I said I was going to head over after this bath, "you're going to pick him up soaking wet?" No DUMBA*** but I'm letting you know I'll be waiting for him!!!! Then unfortunately my car battery did die (I went to the outlets because they still weren't done by 1 I clock and the outlets are DOWN THE STREET FROM THEIR NEW LOCATION... didn't know it was such a bad thing) right after the owner made her little sly remark I get a call saying my cat was ready?? Wow how funny. I let them know my car battery died (maybe it was my karma for "bothering them" throughout the day) and THIS TERRIBLY UNPROFESSIONAL PERSON SKYE was all of a sudden pissed off. "You've been calling all day and you went to the OUTLETS? " no sh*t??? I live in another city I was trying to burn time. YELLING AT ME to respect her??? Complaining because SHE JUMPED IN FRONT OF 5 DOGS TO GROOM MY CAT. ummmm my appointment was for 9 AM anyway? Then the BS EXCUSE of their groomer was bit the night before, they had to fit in all the appointments from then OK SO WHY DIDNT ANYONE TELL ME? WHEN I called at 9 am that there would be a delay? When I dropped him off? Like I'm supposed to be thankful for that. Lmfao. Such a joke. And the owner wanted to make sure I didn't leave a bad review so offered an "express pass" for the next time like I'd ever want to deal with this place again. Again no one ever told me the groomer had been bit there would be a delay, no one told me 4-5 hour wait, nothing, I explained I was a new client. Even when my car was dead I sent someone else immediately cause I didn't want my cat to be stressed out. I would never ever recommend this place to anybody who cares about their animals.
