every single time I come in to get crickets they say they don't have any to sell but their bin always has bugs in it they say they need them for their animals when their animals have crickets already in the tanks. it's absolutely ridiculous my animals have to starve almost every week because of this. This place is the absolute worst, I had brought my dog in for a grooming and their was blatant bias based on people's appeared socioeconomic class. As I am looking at the rating now they already have 2 stars and I think they should be 1. Do not groom your dog here, they will give bad hair cuts and unless you have a short hair, they will say their matted and charge double. Good luck read more

I give zero stars for Petco. About a year ago I bought a brown tang (salt water) fish. It was beautiful I have to say but the fish ended up having Ick. Killed everything in my whole tank had to start all over. Another time my son has went in with his friend and was going to buy a pet. The girl told my son he don't look fit to buy it and wouldn't be able to take care of it. Who is she to judge. Then today my mother in law went in to buy a fish for our tank as as surprise. The lady wold not seek her the fish. She needed to see a picture of the tank if I have at home as well as the fish. Needless to say she wouldn't sell it to her. I've never had anyone ever ask me for. Photo before they sold me a fish. I get that they wanna make sure people know what they are doing. But I personally don't think it's any of her business. She's there to make a sale she's not the fish police. read more

My wife made an appointment for our dog to have a full grooming session. Dropped off dog early on Saturday. Received call an hour later that she was done and ready for pickup. Wife goes inside to find our dog was only washed & nails trimmed. Store claims their computer system only showed a wash & nail trim. My wife was very specific in requesting a full grooming. We usually groom our dog, but thought it might be nice to treat her to a special, professional grooming. Such a let down. read more

Do NOT buy their gift cards - mine supposedly expired in less than 3 months - and Petco says they can't fix and they send you to Cashstar to resolve via a phone number for Delta Airlines - where you have to hold forever. Alternatively, you can try to chat with Cashstar for a fee of $1 - totally frustrating and ridiculous!! Again - NEVER EVER EVER purchase a gift card from Petco! read more

We had a great experience with the groomers here at this location. I did not even have an appointment and they took us right in to get my girls nails trimmed. They were super patient with my pup. She is dog reactive and this can be extremely challenging. At first I didn't think this was going to be possible to have done. They in fact accomplished the task and in record time. The job was done to my satisfaction. The place was clean and the price was right. My pup also enjoys the great treats they have for sale, which she gets at the end of the appointment. We will definitely be back. read more

We had a great experience today. We have been using another place for a while but they changed the groomers and we didn't like them; so didn't make sense to us the keep going to that distance ; I decided to give a try; and was really worthy! Called around 9:30 and got and appointment to 12pm. They check my dog's vaccination and them they did an examination of him; checking eyes, ears and suggested the best grooming for my dog. They were clear about the time that will take; when I went to get my dog; even after few hours and hair cut, nails trimmed and full bath; soon he saw the groomer who took care of him, he has his tails wagging like crazy so happy; this was my first visit and we loved the way we were treated. The price was a little bit over but to see that my dog was comfortable with them made me happy. Definitely my our grooming team!!! read more

Grand Opening Weekend. No one answers the phone. We show up, it's a small store, very loud (thanks to concrete slab floor and rafter ceiling) and poor layout. But we were still shopping. Prices? No...PRICEY! But still, we shopped. Check-out...AWFUL! I'm all about working out bugs, soft openings, new managers, etc. This was different. Apparently, at some earlier point in the day, the/(a?) store manager (Ashley) learned that the gift card system for...wait for it...ALL OF PETCO...was down. "Surprise! Your coupon and gift card are useless!" Okay, no one used that line but you get the picture. I mentioned that a sign would have been helpful...blank stare. There was no, "We're sorry, here's an additional coupon for the inconvenience," or "How can we make it right for you?" Instead, "Sorry." ::turns back to other customer:: WHAT?! Opening weekend and that's their response?! The shame of it is that we've shopped at Petco online for a few years and will continue that practice but as for supporting local business? PetSmart is a minute down the road and will continue to get our brick and mortar business. Way to go Petco. Colossal failure. read more

I have nothing bad to say about Petco. Good service. The employees are very helpful in answering any and all questions. Also, they carry numerous brands of food for all animals, toys, carriers, litters, etc. Don't understand why Vinnie D. is saying that the store is "very loud"?? As far as opening day, most stores, restaurants, etc. have some minor "glitches" to overcome and "iron out". Come on, give them a break. I have a Petsmart card and never get anything off my purchases and I have spent quite a lot of money there over the years. In Petco, I received a discount on several of my purchases with their card and I have been shopping there since they opened. I also find it more convenient than going to Petsmart due to the traffic congestion along Delsea Drive near the Union Crossing Mall where Petsmart is located. read more
