Dog obedience classes seem to be full as well, so it seems like this store has most it mostly together. Email coupons and specials are what really get me to go here, but sometimes saving a buck or two doesn't matter if you need litter or food right away. Otherwise there is a huge variety of pet supplies for nearly any domesticated pet. They also have an adoption center and I like to see the kitties once in a while, just to see how cute they are. Convenient location and good prices are the main reasons I shop here.

Hey Josh, I just…read morewanted to say thank you for the awesome customer service you have given us over the last two years. My wife and I lead complicated lives... We have three rescue dogs, none of which trust strangers. We also have a young, rare breed dog, with severe anxiety issues that trusts strangers even less than the three rescues. When I first met you and told you this, you didn't bat an eye. You recommended training for our puppy with the anxiety issues; we enrolled her, and she passed with flying colors. You also took care of the three rescue dogs with an equal amount of care and concern. Both my wife and I travel fairly extensively for work, and you have (multiple times!) saved us when a last-minute work trip came up. Again, our lives our complicated so here is what you would do... Two of our rescue dogs cannot leave the home because they think they are going to be abandoned again (severe abuse and abandonment issues in their previous lives). To take care of this you had one of your staff come to our home and take them out three times per day. Prior to that, you made sure that the same staff member came over to our home to make sure our dogs would be comfortable with him. Additionally, you kept our "anxious" dog in your kennel and even enrolled her in doggy daycare. Her attitude has drastically changed since then. She is still a little weirdo but is much more confident since she has been watched by you and your staff. You even let our pit bull, who is super sweet but generally gets a bad rap because of her breed, play with her in doggy day care. They have both loved the day care experience, and we both have noticed a distinct change in their behaviors every time they come home from being watched by you guys. There has never been an issue with fighting or any other aggressive behavior because you guys keep such close supervision over the dogs, and you let us know any time there might be a potential issue. Unfortunately, we are moving this week, and we will truly miss everything you and your business has done for us. You have been a great friend to us, and I honestly don't know what my wife and I would have done had you and your business not been in Harrisburg. Thanks again, and I hope our paths cross again soon! At the end of the first course, the Beginner Puppy class, we were presented with a certificate of completion and a beautiful packet of photos that they took - worthy of being framed. They also filled out the paperwork to be sent into the AKC for their S.T.A.R. Puppy certification. I am proud to have that certificate because it reminds me of my commitment to raising a good dog. I love taking classes at this place. I did sign up for a class at a different local business and can give a good comparison. At Redfern, we start out, sitting in a comfortable circle with our dogs and there are places along the wall where we can hook up to a chain so our hands are free, when needed. My puppy was originally very hyper so I welcomed the break from reigning her in. The instructors at Redfern are very patient and they follow a set curriculum. They are quick to praise baby steps and always made me feel like I was doing the right things be bringing Hero for training. Beyond that, they have been available to me for email support and that has meant a lot to me. I highly recommend Redfern Canines.

I anticipated letting my husband do the actual training and just watch, but he made it look so easy that I volunteered to try walking him. wow, to say I was shocked and pleased is an understatement. I will be putting in some steps over the next couple of weeks to reinforce my training, but I already feel confident with what he has taught us. in 3 sessions our dog no longer jumps on us, has played with Brennans dog with no aggression, and was able to walk nicely for an hour with people and even dogs passing us.
