I'm giving them a bad rating here because after my experience, they actually sent me a review survey and this is what I wrote Bad advice killed my fish So I purchased a saltwater angelfish with a little eye irritation to which the fish sales lady kindly gave me a discount and showed me what to purchase to treat its eye. I brought the fish home, acclimated it, then treated it. He died the next day. SOL, no warranty on saltwater fish. $60 down the tubes, just like the fish ;( Here is what they emailed me.... See pic What unprofessional, unethical way to do business. Hey morons, that's what surveys are for. I guess only positive feedback is acceptable.

I wouldn't recommend purchasing pets here. Maybe for things they need but not reptile At least. I tried to talk with a customer service rep. about a dead bearded dragon. But they kept walking the other way just avoiding customer contact like Best Buy. I came to purchase a chameleon. But this wouldn't be the first time I walked in here and witnessed this so now I guess it's time to say something.

The people who work here are great, but they should really take better care of the animals they are trying to sell. I added some photos to show what I mean.

We brought my dog here for his grooming appointment twice now and Maggie has done such a great job with him both times. He can be a little nippy when people touch his paws/legs and she was able to work with him perfectly and he came out looking happy and cute both times!!

I just recently purchased a saltwater fish now my whole tank has ick cause it wasn't noticeable at first. I'm honestly so done with Petco. they can't even attempt to cure it and I said something to the guy that works with the fish and he just walked away like he couldn't hear me. Petco has just turned to shit at this point and y'all keep messaging people saying your gonna fix this, but the problem never gets fixed it's ridiculous it's not that hard to care for animals that's what they're getting paid for isn't it . HIRE SOMEONE THAT KNOWS WHAT THEY'RE DOING PLEASE

Results I was hoping to see from BB. What really gets me is that after the 2 sessions, I have never heard from Bark Busters. Not the company, nor the trainer. Since our pup had spent his entire life living in a kennel (and didn't know about grass, cars, walks, toys, peanut butter--anything!), we had our work cut out for us. And we're first-time dog owners, to boot. Tricia was recommended to us after I posted on a community Reddit page. She promised to be our one-stop shop for dog help, and she's more than lived up to her promise. Not only did she help us potty-train our one-year-old pup and teach him basic commands, but she's helped us with everything from figuring out doggy daycare, grooming, pet supplies, etc. We see her once a week at our house or at a public place and also answers tons of questions from us via text/email in between sessions. Not only is Tricia great with our pup (he ADORES her), but she's great with us, too. She's super professional and prompt, and is helping us gain confidence as new dog owners. I'd highly recommend her to anyone (and have already recommended her to several friends!).

Long story short, she cared for him for the days he was struggling, kept me updated, and he came out of it because she was purposeful, knowledgeable, and more than capable to handle the situation. While basically a good dog in many respects, Riggins displays anxiety and shuts down during walks, which manifested in his past as fear aggression. This is not something we had dealt with with our previous pets, and knew that we needed to ensure against any kind of dangerous situation. We understood when we adopted Riggins we'd need to work with him on these ingrained bad habits. Shortly after we adopted him, we tried out group training sessions. It was clear the group training was for working on basic stuff, a lot of which our dog already knew. We felt the best option was to go with 1-1 training. And so glad we did. It was worth every penny. Scott gave us the tools to work with Riggins, as well as manage our expectations and learn how to deal with a variety of situations. We signed up for five training sessions with Scott, and as others mentioned in their reviews, the training started as soon as Scott entered the house. He made an immediate connection with Riggins and so amazing to see how the dog just snapped to attention for him. Such a great talent to have. Basically Scott told us we need to completely reprogram our dog. We're continuing to work on that, and probably will for the foreseeable future. But there's been a definite improvement in the way we deal with Riggins, and I see daily 'baby step' progress on walks. We've also been bike riding with Riggins, which he seems to enjoy and is great at draining his energy. The bike rides also ensure that the dog is following me, I'm in the lead and have control over the situation. So thanks to Scott for his help. We may well call him again for a tune-up, but for right now, we're putting his recommendations in place and are seeing a difference.

I researched many different dog trainers in my area and ultimately decided to contact Scott. We first spoke over the phone to see if the training would be a good fit. Our puppy's nipping has really lessened and she definitely is paying more attention than before. Scott taught us various ways to walk a dog and the importance of keeping them safe in different environments. He also gave us great insight on the dogs' point of view which really helped us understand our puppy's behavior more. Scott made sure my fiance and I were highly involved with the training and it helped boost our confidence for when we'd continue training our puppy on our own. Although the training already made a big difference, Scott also reminded us that our puppy is still so young and that we need to remain realistic and patient. The reassurance, constructive criticism, and encouragement created a very positive environment for the session. I am overall very impressed! Thank you so much, Scott!

She did inform me that they do not train in the kind of scent work I am looking for, and she sadly doesn't know anyone near my location who does. My only suggestion would be for the owner, since they are the ones who receive the emails. It might be best to respond to the customer in an email and state something to the effect of, "Colonial K9 has received your request and we will be forwarding your message to the respective trainer. Please let us know if a trainer has not gotten in contact with you in the next 48/72 hours." This way the customer knows their email has been seen and read. Otherwise, the customer feels their request wasn't taken seriously. Additionally, a reminder message or task could be created within the Microsoft 360 platform and be sent to the trainers. Just some ideas to help the customers and trainer so a customer isn't lost due to mistakes. Thank you again for the apology. It is appreciated. I have bumped my review up from two stars to fours stars. **Original Review** ***I have not used their services***This is only a review based on communication, or lack thereof*** On 08MAY2024, I called Colonial K9 to inquire about dog training; specifically scent work. I have been looking for a solid trainer since moving here. It has not been easy finding a reputable trainer. During the phone call, I was told to send an email because emails go straight to the owner. The owner will review the email and either respond personally, or the owner will send the email to the respective trainer. I thanked the person who I spoke with and promptly sent an email detailing my dog training needs. By 15MAY2024, I still hadn't received a response from Colonial K9. As a result, I sent another email and stated; "I am following up from my attached email as I have not received a response. If you are unable to help us, it's understandable. I would appreciate it if you could give us a referral on a trainer who can help." As of today, 24MAY2024, I have yet to receive a response. I am not sure where the disconnect is. All I want to do is find a solid trainer to continue with scent work training. I guess Colonial K9 isn't interested in assisting. Copy that!
