The classic boarding and luxury boarding areas are clean and everything is set up to make the dogs so comfortable. We frequently bring him for daycare so he can get out all his energy. He was so nervous the first couple of visits but he quickly warmed up to all the staff. They are all so nice and always remember my dog! All I know is he comes home exhausted so mission accomplished! We've boarded him several times ranging from 3 to 5 days so far. There's always someone there with them overnight and they make sure to note any special instructions with food and/or medicines when you drop off. I'll always prefer to have my dog with me, but when he can't come with us, I trust everyone at Purr n Pooch to take good care of him.

My answer was , she may sometimes not get along w smaller dogs . She immediately said well we dont separate by size . First of all, not what i said and 2nd of all your website CLEARLY reads : "we place in groups by size, age, disposition ". I was just trying to explain that my dog would just really benefit from an evaluation and they can determine and place her where they see fit? It was like she was trying to deter me from coming in and pretty much argumentative. It was bizarre. I then explained that the day care closest to my home does not have cameras which is why I was interested in their day care. She immediately said well we dont have cameras either. I was confused because i just read on their website , verbatim " we have closed circuit video monitoring" . She said well we have very high end clients and there was a lot of theft here so those cameras are for that . I told them their website is very misleading . They could of course care less. Now i understand the terrible reviews here on Yelp . Not surprised. HARD PASS.

All the trainers here technique are very aggressive and made our dog aggressive and defensive. At my wits' end, I reached out to Roseann and asked if we can facetime and help me and my dog. After speaking with her and going through the history of my dog, she explained what exactly is the reason behind my dogs behavior! And listening to her, we already see a change in my dog! We had previously sought help from another local trainer, but her problems only worsened despite our efforts. After an in- depth consultation and meeting, unlike the other trainer we had consulted, Roseann strongly urged us to first seek professional veterinary help before beginning training with her. Because at that point we felt helpless and as though we were out of options, we decided to heed her advice and visit UPenn's Behavior Department to meet with a team of veterinary professionals. Roseann joined us that day so she could be involved with the planning of Lola's subsequent training protocols as suggested by the Veterinary Behaviorists. I believe the efforts of the interdisciplinary collaboration that day saved Lola's life; it turns out that she had several underlying medical conditions that were exacerbating her existing behavioral issues. After that visit, Roseann tirelessly worked with us to follow through with the training protocols given to us at UPenn. Things started to slowly improve with Lola and we finally began to see positive changes. Once unable to have any houseguests, Lola learned to become tolerant of visitors by engaging in alternate behaviors that made her feel safe when they arrived at the house. Once intolerant of unfamiliar humans approaching her, we learned how to use counter conditioning exercises to help her remain calm and non-reactive. We continued working with Roseann for the next several years and have made progress which I never thought possible. Although Lola's fear and anxiety will always prevent her from behaving like a "typical" dog, we've successfully learned how to manage her behavior so she can live a happy life. Roseann's compassion and empathy is unmatched, as she treats each client as she would her own dog(s). Roseann remains abreast of the most up-to-date research and utilizes only the most humane, scientifically based training techniques with her clients. It is these qualities which set her apart from others in the unregulated field of animal training. We are forever indebted with gratitude to Roseann for sharing her expertise and knowledge with us.

Mike, the owner, supposedly an…read moreexperienced dog trainer, during our first meeting, deliberately "forgot" to mention that the training of a 5-year old dog should be or might be different than training a puppy. The results spoke for themselves. However, he was quick to demand the full payment, which exceeded $2,000, without any recourse. In a nutshell, we were made to prepay a stranger we met only 20 minutes earlier, who was giving us a typical sale "shpiel" of his company being the best around. What a lie! Apparently, the love for our dog made us forego requisite due diligence and caution in choosing a dog trainer. There was no methodology as to how to train our dog most basic functions. For example, while the first trainer, Dana, kept feeding our dog treats every 2 minutes to make him compliant, the second trainer, Shan.... (forgot her full name) abandoned the "feeding" practice, but suggested to cross the street if the dog was pulling in a different direction during the walk. Contrary "techniques" between the 2 trainers were obvious. After 6 sessions and countless walks and "in-home practices" with and without trainers, our dog did not learn much (in fact, he regressed) and we gave up on Michael's Dog Training because we saw no progress. We realized we were wronged. Bottom line, we strongly do not recommend this business.

The staff is very friendly and seems to really like what they do, are competent, and care about the dogs which is very important to me. I highly recommend Greenleaf for care and socialization of your dog.

They have pools for them and a large sand pit for digging. There is a very large backyard with a high fence and they are NEVER caged. They sleep on the furniture like the kings and queens they are. I am so thankful I found them. April is so wonderful with the dogs and Emma took to her immediately (she was a shy puppy). I can not say enough good things about them...THE BEST!!! And Emma agrees, especially about the homemade treats that are always on hand!!

Upon pickup, everything was neatly packaged, including bedding and extra food. He was in great spirits when I picked him up and looked great.
