I have used this clinic for all my animals since before they moved in this location back around…read more1985. I have worked with three different veterinarians over the years and have always experienced quality care. When my pet was injured while being boarded at another facility, I was able to have an appointment for her squeezed in right away. Unfortunately, the result was a needed amputation - but was taken care of immediately with exceptional care. Recently, I was able to board my dog here while I, myself, had to go out-of-town for surgery. While boarded, I was able to get her upcoming due shots. The bonus to this boarding was being able to have her bathed before pickup. However, the greatest testimonial comes from my animals themselves. To have your dogs excited to arrive and happy when returning home states volumes with how they are treated. I highly recommend this animal clinic!

But, the front office staff - and in particular, one long-tenured staff member, are disrespectful, unprofessional and have destroyed my trust in this clinic. If you are looking for a clinic that will take all around great care of your beloved pet, I would suggest looking elsewhere. After years and years of trying to offer feedback and working through it - nothing has changed. This front office staff member's behavior should not be tolerated by management. It makes me question, what other unprofessional practices are being overlooked.

My wife and I both have had dogs all our lives. But we never took the time to train them properly…read more When our old dog died, we knew we wanted another dog or two. This time though, we wanted to train them. Our vet recommended Drop the Leash. I liked that Valeria came to our house, rather than taking the dogs out of their own safe environment. Within minutes of Valeria working with the pups, they were responding to her instructions. It just got better from there. We took the six week course and not only did my wife and I look forward to Valeria coming, so did the pups. The end results were more than we imagined. We continue to work with the pups, now that the official training is over. Drop the Leash gave us, and our pups, the tools to make our lives together better. When we decide we can't live without another dog, we will call Drop the Leash before we go to pick the dog up. I highly recommend calling Valeria for your new dogs or dogs that have happens you want to break. She will get the job done. Greg & Vickie Baker

My young wire wiener and I enjoyed the classes so much, and, we learned and practiced so many skills. I think Chummy's favorite class was Nosework. Kathy taught us fun games that a wire wiener would love--sniffing for treats. We also took Better Recalls and Junior Ranger. In each series of classes we learned through positive reinforcement lots of valuable skills, like coming when called, loose leash walking, sit stay, greeting strangers. We can't wait to take more classes next summer. I highly recommend Barks and Rec!

Young staff member lectured us if we were a little late, claiming we were throwing their whole schedule off. Rarely were there other vehicles or customers there, so I'm not sure how that was possible. Their services usually took 5 -10 minutes, with every minute of it seeming rushed, adding anxiety to our dog. Staff member didn't appear to have maturity to handle challenges, or interested in our dog. Based upon what staff we've met, you might get a good experience, but you're just as likely to get told that any problem is because of you or your dog, and they can't help you. Oh, and they pre-charge for the services, so if you don't have a good experience, well, that must be because you did something wrong. Pleasant for their accounting, not so much for your dog.
