I took my doggy Cloud here for dental cleaning with extractions, and they did amazing!! We adopted him and the previous owners never brushed his teeth; this would be his first ever cleaning at the age of 16, so you can imagine how bad his teeth were. We paid $200 plus tax which is the most affordable price I could find in Houston. This included all extractions whereas other places will charge per extraction. I did have to pay extra for some pain meds and antibiotics (the pain meds were optional but they recommended the antibiotics). They do book up so you have to call to make an appointment 1.5 months out, but the wait is worth it. On the day of, you line up at opening (10am), however, when they open, they will call out dental cleanings and you don't have to wait in line. When they check you in, they also ask you if there is anything else you need done like vaccines or flea/tick medicine, so they can do it all for you. Then, they take your dog to the back, and they call you when they're ready! Cloud was done by 12:30pm which was faster than I thought, and you have until the end of the day to pick up your dog. My baby's teeth were sparkling white, I didn't even know they could look like that. They ended up taking out 2-3 teeth and gave them to us in a baggy. They also trimmed his nails for us, which he definitely needed. He was eating, drinking, and sleeping fine the same day. I want to gatekeep this place, but I have to recommend! If you go for their vet services, I would def recommend coming early or at non-peak times because there was already a line of 15-20 people when I arrived at 9:45am. read more

I've been coming here since 2017 and always loved this clinic. Yes, sometimes the wait times were long, but I always felt they truly cared about my dog and weren't just about the money. Unfortunately, my most recent visit will likely be my last. They required my dog to get a heartworm test even though she's been on preventative medication for the past 4 years, raised their prices (even on medications), and now charge $20-25 just to provide a paper prescription. I think they are like this in general because they understand that none of us are doing amazingly financially at the moment, and are we ever? So they deserve all the credit in the world for this sort of behaviour. The only bad thing is the same thing that everybody else has been talking about, which is the awful wait time. I'm talking about one of the craziest wait times I've ever experienced. Two or three hours on a regular basis, five or six hours at worst. Just try to go when it's not a busy time and not on a weekend, that's all I can say. And maybe get there 45 mins before opening time and try to be in line at the door, or something. Pet care express is a great place to take your animal if 1: you have time to wait, 2: you don't have an emergency, 3: you're not looking for advanced/specialized care. So great for vaccines for your pet that are cheap, or something run of the mill like a parasite. Doctors can be a bit hit or miss in care, but they're well intentioned and won't push erroneous tests. I've experienced wait times of 10 mins or up to 2 hours - just depends the time of day and day of the week. read more

I take both of my dogs here and the staff has been so wonderful to them every time. We do our routine vaccines as well as dental cleanings here and I have never had an unpleasant experience. Dr. Chiang answers all the questions I have and is always extremely thorough. I recommend arriving an hour prior to open if you want to be one of the first four patients seen. (They take 4 at a time) The wait time wasn't too bad. It does start to get crowded 30 minutes prior to opening. I arrived around 9:15, I was the third patient in line and I left at about 11:15. I took my cat here, if you don't mind waiting long time for the price...go. My cat had dermatitis, the tech was young and seamed new. He kept asking if my cat had fleas. I kept telling him no. Ladies at the front kept their heads down no eye contact. Not sure why. I cannot say strongly enough how pleased I am with the dental cleaning my dog received here. A full cleaning, six extractions, antibiotics and pain meds to take home came to about $210. This is well below the $1,000+ I've been quoted by vets in the past-a figure that stood in the way of me getting it done for a few years too many, hence the extractions. Even better is that they don't put the dog under but instead use heavy sedation and a local anesthetic. There is always a risk of death when you put a dog under, especially those most likely to be in need of major dental services-senior dogs. Of course, even without going under, I was nervous leaving my precious little guy all day, wondering if he would come through okay, would he be hurting? Traumatized? I was so relieved when the tech brought him out to me and I saw him gently wave his sleepy little tale. His teeth look GORGEOUS and I am happy to report that once the sleepy time meds wore off (a few hours after pick up) he was eating and behaving normally, with no indication of pain or discomfort. I wish I'd found this place years ago, he might have been able to keep some of those teeth if I had. read more

DO NOT GO THERE! If you care about your pet DO NOT GO THERE. Long post but worth reading trust me. Only posting this because I wish I would of read a review like this before going. I hope my caps caught your attention. But don't go there, yes it's cheap (only the exam is cheap, everything else from the blood work to the vaccines are marked up compared to other vets). First of all, it takes forever to get thru the phone lines so don't expect to call for information unless you call about 5-10 times. (Try for yourself after reading this) They don't take appointments, so unless your first in line expect to wait 2-3 hours. Main reason I say don't go is because I took my cat for a ear cleaning and yearly vaccinations that's it. Immediately after her ear cleaning she completely lost her balance for 3 days. She stopped eating, she lost all her energy, and went from 9 to 7 pounds within less than a week. I took her back and so-called "DR".CHIANG said it had nothing to do with the ear cleaning/ vaccinations (which is a lie, it had everything to do with the ear cleaning damaging her ears which made her lose balance/ which led to her being nauseous which led her not wanting to eat). I'm not a vet and even I have the common sense of knowing that. He's suppose to be a professional so I took his word for it, in doubt of course. He recommended doing blood work to see what the underlying issue was, I agreed. He said he'd give me a call back when the results came in. Never got a call back, I had to consistently call the un reachable number for her results. (Never got a call back for the blood work but you can bet they called me asking if I wanted to buy a prescription... money is definetly more important to them). After getting the results, he diagnosed her having diabetes. Gave me the insulin, told me she needed the shot twice a day every 12 hours. I did it for a week, went back for the check up (because she's still not eating) but since they were closed yesterday I had to go somewhere else. This is where it gets even better... I take her to a new vet. Told them my situation, first thing the new vet asks is "Why is she on insulin?". I explain... turns out, she DOES NOT have diabetes and all she needed AT THE TIME was an appetite stimulant and medication for her being nauseous (Due to them damaging her ears). They re took blood work and now since she went so long without eating and having unnecessary insulin shots, she does have health issues. "Dr" Chiang is not knowledge enough to be a vet and should stop immediately because he just makes things up whenever he doesn't know what's really wrong. I'm glad I kept all my receipts because instead of going back to the clinic and cussing him out I'll show all this documentation to an attorney and see if something can be done about his practice. There is no excuse for that kind of mistake especially when it's your profession. There's no telling how many other pets he's seen and diagnosed with the wrong thing. Dr? Yeah right... DO NOT GO!! You will waste time, waste money and most importantly you might put your pet at risk. Avoid going please, hopefully I can save a pet or two with this post. Fuck you "Dr" Chiang. read more
