I took my dog Takoda to Delaney Brown the Groomer on May 15th 2026 for a bath and both his eyes got…read morechemical burns. He has lost complete vision on his right eye and has some vision in his left eye. I ent her text emails asking her to give me a step by step detail of his grooming on May 15th from 2:00 pm to 4:30 pm and she said she wants to have access to speak to my vet and the eye specialist that had been treating Takoda. I cried for days the damage she had done to my beautiful pup Takoda who is just turning 4 years old on August 1st this year. She does not ask her clients for any proof of vaccination which is completely disgusting. Never take your pets to her she pretends she cares about your pet but if she did she would have met to discuss what happened or responded to my email that I sent her asking to outline exactly what grooming products and instruments were used on my dogs body and face. Delaney Brown has refused to respond giving all the info I requested. Never ever take your pets for grooming at Stayner Pet Store. She claims she is a reputable groomer she is not. Disgusting and horrible how she burnt my dogs eyes with her grooming products. My poor dog is suffering since May 15th and she has refused to ens me all the details of his grooming. My dog Takoda eyes got chemical burns while she was grooming him. She has damaged my dogs eyes.

Zoey works with her boyfriend, Adrian, who is also listed as an employee. I had Zoey at my home to…read morepet sit my 2 Sheltie's, twice. In between she had cancelled once. After the 2nd pet sitting, she texted me although she knew specifically to "phone" and cancelled 1 1/2 hours before she was to be here. Totally unprofessional and left me in a bind ! Then her boyfreind phoned that evening and said the following: The price is now $100.00, up from $60.00 (within 3 weeks!) He said that Zoey should not have to take my Dogs outside in the fenced backyard for their pee, only -1 degree! I was asking too much for their food bowls to be washed out when they were finished eating! I paid $20.00 for her consultation, at which time I explained their dinner routine. Adrian also told me that the instructions were too lengthly!!! They want to charge extra for each little thing that they do on top of their fee! This is outrageous! Do not use this service. By the way, Zoey is NOT a certified Veterinary Technician, NOR a registered Animal nurse.

Zoey advertises herself as a Veterinary Technician but she is NOT. Upon being confronted about this…read moreshe has admitted that she is in her second semester (2 of 4) of online school (Penn Foster). Being almost halfway through a (very poorly reviewed) online course DOES NOT MAKE YOU A VETERINARY TECHNICIAN. Zoey was extremely angry that I posted this review and went so far as to claim I'm trying to ruin her business. I want to be super clear, I am not trying to ruin anyone. I just think claiming to be to have qualifications that you don't have is wrong. Zoey committed in writing to me that she will be rebranding her business to make it clear that she is not a Vet Tech but several weeks have gone by and she has not amended any of her info. She also claims to have qualifications like being "Fear Free Certified" but you can only be FFC if you are a registered veterinary technician or veterinarian... so I question the legitimacy of any credentials she claims to have. I am actually pretty grossed out and upset that I was lied to about her qualifications and that I let her into my home under false pretences. She is also very unprofessional and ALWAYS late. She changes her prices more often than I change my nail polish. I even noticed after she was here, that she charged me almost double the rate that she was advertising on her website at the time. After discussing this situation with my actual veterinarian, I was advised that anyone claiming to be a mobile Vet Tech should only be working as part of a veterinarians office. Also Zoey does dental cleanings which are only ever supposed to be performed by a Vet Tech while under the direct supervision of a licensed veterinarian. This entire situation has my skin crawling. Do yourself a favour and hire a regular groomer for grooming and take your precious pet to a real vet clinic for anything outside the normal scope of a groomer. * Edit, Zoey has privately asked me to remove my review saying she will rebrand her business to be honest about her qualifications. I WILL update this review if she does the right but as of now she has not changed anything.
