Take advantage of the plus program to save some money on food, accessories, or litter. They also have some steals and deals on the back of aisles I noticed. I was looking at an end cap and they had wet dog food for 90% off. There was so many left on the end cap because no one else noticed them. One amazing thing about this store is that they have a self serve dog wash. I have two big dogs, a german shepherd and a chocolate lab. The shepherd leaves so much hair in my bath tub and makes such a huge mess. This place has a special deal called the dirty dog discount. Typically washes are $10 per visit, however you can purchase this discount up front at the register. It gives you five washes for $25, which is half the price. This is a life saver for me because I can wash them, use shampoo at the store, and air dry them without them making a huge mess in my bathroom. This is one of the cheapest options, as dog grooming can be expensive. If you do want to pamper your dog, they still have amazing and cheap prices for grooming too. This location never has the Stella and Chewy frozen patties in Chicken flavor when I go to grab more food for my dogs. This means I have to drive all over town to other Pet Supplies Plus to find what I need for my picky eater. Additionally, when I buy a different flavor in the raw patties, it is obvious that they were left out and thawed before being put in the freezer to sell to customers. This makes the quality of the food horrible, freezer burned, crystalized and stuck together. I will no longer shop at this location anymore, I have made mention about the lack of stock to staff, and the freezer burn, it has not made any difference. Management obviously does not care about the quality of their final product. read more

PSP is a fun place to shop and some of the locations offer dog grooming.. Some of their managers are really helpful. The stores I've been to have been kept clean and don't have a raunchy smell like some pet stores do. I enjoy shopping at PSP stores. read more

We have taken our pets to several places for grooming. This is by far my favorite place. Tami is amazing. You can tell she enjoys being with animals. Other places I have taken my dog to for furmination left him with scabs. Ringo has gone to Tami multiple times and not one scab. In addition the last time I went in my dog left a present in the parking lot. I asked the manager for a bag so I could clean up the mess. Instead he told me not to worry and immediately went out and cleaned it up. read more

First time we've used the do it yourself dog wash. Towels were stained yellow had lint all over them. One of the stations didn't even work so only one was open. The shampoo was liquid and the "oatmeal shampoo" smelled rancid like spoiled eggs. There was dog waste in the tub. Water and dog hair all over the floor. No leash to keep the dog in the tub. It smelled gross and was very humid in the room. Don't recommend washing your dog here it isn't very clean and sanitary. read more

Everyone at this store is so helpful and friendly. Sheila and Elizabeth in the grooming salon take such good care of my dogs. They do not over book animals for grooming. This is our go to place for pet food, supplies and the do it yourself dog bathing station. They sell cards...5 washes for $25! I only have one medium sized dog, but I have seen people wash two or three small dogs in the time it gives you for one wash! I have used the grooming department a couple times, only for ear cleanings and mail trimmings. No complaints here! It is always VERY CLEAN, even the bathrooms. I have stopped there just to use the restroom before. Most of the staff is very friendly, and they are all helpful! The the prices can't be beat, because they'll price match! Almost no regular" canned dog food (1 brand). I got the vibe that I was bothering them. I remember the days when I could ask someone if they had a particular item & the employee was interested in what you needed. This is one of the "If it's not on the shelf, we don't have it" places. How about "Lets look."? There were abt 3 other people in the entire store & no one else in line, could he have taken a minute to look with me?(Guess that was not this store's style). Might have been just the moment a new customer, new to the area, would have decided to come back. The layout was... I'm not sure, suffice to say, the plan is for a customer to walk around every isle I guess. If you prefer ridiculously overpriced wet food - this is your place, not for senior citizens on a pension. As the other reviewers said, this place is very well kept. I go there to use the self-service Dog Wash. Every time I've been there it has been spotless. The staff does a great job of cleaning up after customers and keeping the store looking its best. I can't speak too much on their selection of other pet supplies, because we only go there for the wash but from walking from the front to the back of the store it looks very well stocked and has very good selections. I saw the aquarium sale and thought we would buy a set and then get fish. Technically it was more expensive than the chain stores, but I wanted to stay local. No one, not even the woman (who I think was the manager) to the teen aged girl could help me. At times I was the only customer in the store. I kept asking for help and advice and they would never show up or they said they did not know. But the teen aged workers had no problem chit chatting with other customers when they came in. I sat on my phone in the fish aisle trying to figure out what is best and what I should get with the tank. I asked the cashier to send someone to help me. That is when the woman who I thought was the manager came, she handed me the tank from the shelf, acted disgusted that I asked for help, and immediately left. Then I asked for help from a female teenager. Everything she said was direct opposite of what I just read on the internet, then I asked if she had fish and she said no. Then a male teenager came up and had fish of his own, but could not tell me what the differences were in products. I bought what he said he had --- totally wasted my money because after I get home, I learned what I bought is not compatible with each other. After I got everything up and running, I waited 10 days before buying fish from another store. I will never return and have not. read more
