The rudest and absolute worst employee there. she claims she is a manager but there is no way a person this unprofessional and rude is a manager. I have spoken to previous manager who were both make multiple times. Amber might be a shift leader but even then she is incredibly incompetent and under qualified whatever role she carries. If I were the local franchise owner I'd be very concerned with this person claiming to be a manager. My pups and I love coming here. First and foremost, the customer service is impeccable. staff always asks me if I need anything and offer to carry it to the register and to my car, which really comes in handy when I need a 50lb bag of food food and am being pulled down two isles at one time with my dogs. my pups love that they have some snacks at doggy level, and they remember the isle every time and "sample" their favorite kind each time before we put some in a bag to buy. finally, they have fair prices. they usually cost less than the other pet stores. we also like to go to brewz after and enjoy a beer while the pups enjoy a chicken foot or other treat inside or outside of brewz after a successful shopping trip to pet supplies plus. read more

I have always enjoyed shopping with Pet Supplies Plus, today I received a generous coupon but I was unable to make it to the store. I went to their website, which is very easy to navigate, placed my order and roughly an hour later everything was delivered at my doorstep! Not only was everything delivered, it was delivered with care! And a thank you card attached... How often do you see that from companies? I don't see it as often as I would like to. One of the guys who works there is a sweetheart I actually seek him out because he is so attentive and kind this person has helped me with dog harness fitting and setting up a fish tank. I am babysitting a dog for a friend for a month and we go to the cookie bar to get cookies for him and my dog. I was looking for a place to get my puppy nails done without having to give her a bath. I found this place I didn't even have to make an appointment because it is walk in for nail trimmings. The workers here was very nice even asked if I wanted to come to the back during the mani-pedi it was very brief. I went to go find a specific brand of puppy food and I found it then a worker came up to me and told me he will keep it in the front for me so I don't have to carry the big bag around the store which I really appreciated that. I bought a few more things and started to check out and I saw this cute donut treat so I got her it and she absolutely devoured it at home. I will be returning here. I went there on Thursday to utilize the self service dog wash station. I am handicap so handling my two dogs can be a bit of a challenge. Ryan, one of the associates was beyond helpful and courteous. He came out to my car, helped grabbed my pups, brought them to the wash station for me. and helped set us up for a bath, explained how everything worked! He checked on us periodically to make sure we were okay which was so nice then when we were done he came back to help me bring my dogs back to my car while I checked out. I can't express how grateful I am to Ryan and the staff at Pet Supplies Plus. Being handicap, doing simply task like this can seem intimidating. Ryan made it easy and delightful. I'll do another review after I pick my dog up, but had to go ahead and give 5 stars just for the fact that they got my dog in for boarding right on the spot. Not only that, but Zuri (my dog), is a rescue pup. We've had her for about 3 months now and it's been a work in progress. She's an amazing dog, but she has some serious separation anxiety when I leave the room and wouldn't go into one of the boarding places I took her to. HOWEVER, the lady at the grooming counter was able to take Zuri back with no problem and I was able to sneak out. I'm amazed! So just that in itself deserved 5 stars! I'll be picking her up in a couple hours! Can't wait to see her squeaky clean and happy! Update: Lori is awesome!!! I'll be back for sure! Zuri smells so much better and looks amazing!! This "new" Pet Supplies Store is indeed a "Plus" in our beaches neighborhood! Convenient location next to LA Fitness - check! Incredibly helpful and friendly staff - check! Wonderful variety of aquarium equipment - check! Pet Supplies Plus was a terrific unexpected find - after checking a few of my Go To pet stores and coming up empty on a replacement aquarium filter, I headed to Pet Supplies Plus thinking it was a small mom and pop shop - boy was I wrong. This store has a lot of square footage for product - think "Super" Pet Supplies Store Plus! The store is very clean with wide aisles for maneuvering around - I made a beeline to the back right aisle and lo and behold I could not believe right before my eyes I saw the Emperor Power Filter model brand (now Marineland) I love and could not find elsewhere! Enjoyed chatting with Michael who was very knowledgeable and mind you was also a Emperor 280 Power Filter fan - I opted to go one size larger with the "400" model. To make things even sweeter, the power filter was on sale and marked down $20 off MSRP with the rewards card (which I signed up for while paying). Oh it gets better...when I inquired about their military discount, the super friendly lady at the register said that they do military discount Mondays (I thought to myself hmm...too bad it's Tuesday but I'll come back on a Monday next time) but as a first time customer, she would be glad to give me a $5 discount as well (which she did)! So this is a no brainer for me - they've earned my future business as a repeat customer and I highly recommend that you check out this great Pet Supplies Plus Store! I am just off the phone with someone in the back office. I came in today to return a bag of food that was recently purchased in the store. I had tried to switch my dogs to the Redford naturals lamb and rice and was feeding them this food for several months. They develop some sort of aversion to the food and I had to quickly switch them back to another formula. I brought in the food Unopened and a receipt that I thought was the receipt for the food. It ended up not being the correct receipt and was an old receipt from February. I was told that I could not return the food even though it was well within the expiration date of the food and unopened. I wasn't offered a store credit either. Which I would've used immediately to buy some thing else there. I would still be a customer and we continue to spend several hundred dollars a month on my four large dogs. However, I was told at the cash register that all they could do for me was donate a $75 bag of food. the gentleman I spoke to in the back office about the situation initially offered to give me a store credit, but then said he'd have the manager call me and see if there was something he could do. I had been driving 20 minutes each way from my home once or twice a month to purchase this food specifically because I like to support independent pet stores rather than purchase over the Internet. But today they have lost my business forever. The right thing to do would've been to look at the expiration date on the bag offer to give me a store credit and keep me as a 200+ dollar a month customer. read more

I had to come to this store to purchase food for my mother's dog. The dog has a heart condition and needs special food and this store is the only place that carries it. I had never been in this store before as it's not close to me whatsoever. In this day of dwindling customer service I have to say in all honesty I was actually blown away by the level of service I received. Every single person I had contact with was so helpful and friendly. Several people offered to carry the food for me. It's difficult to explain just how nice this shopping experience was. The coupon I get monthly usually is what brings me into this store. However I don't think I'll be coming back here after the last few experiences. Instead of purchasing off amazon, I figure going into the pet supply store will allow me to get some good personalized recommendations. The last couple times I've visited Pets Supplies Plus looking for different types of products for my pet, I have left disappointed. From dry cat food brands to fur shedding management recommendations, whenever I ask an associate for help, they never seem to have any idea of what to recommend from the selection they offer. The latest experience was a prime example. I went in specifically looking for a brush to manage all the new cat hair I'm finding in my home, from my short hair cat shedding his winter coat. After spending 5 or so minutes delving through the cat brush selection, none of products did a great job explicitly stating whether they were geared toward managing shedding. I asked an associate what they'd recommend. That associate passed me onto another associate who said she had no idea but if she had to guess, it'd would be ::associate seems to select at random and point to a brush:: "this one". When I got home and tried it out, I found it was 0% effective in gathering loose hairs. A little frustrated, I went online and discovered that the brush I was sold is not at all for shedding, but for detangling. So now I have to make an extra trip to return. With uncompetitive pricing to start, the $5 coupon does not justify coming here to purchase my usual pet supplies. Coupled with a lack of expertise on the product selection, there is a lot of room for improvement in my opinion. read more

This past time grooming our dog went horrible . I do want to add he's gotten groomed here before and never acted this way post-groom appt. We asked the groomers not to touch his ear hairs ( our vet said to leave them alone). the groomer PLUCKS ALL OF HIS HAIR IN HIS EARS, and I can't even imagine how bad that hurt him. He's almost 1 and he LOVES everyone. Except when we picked him up tHis time he was stressed ( which is normal) but now flinches at me or my mother when he try to pet him or anything. That's never happened before and I can only believe it's from our groomer "Lyn". I'm not totally sure how she treated him while being groomed but he flinches when we try to love on him and all in all acts like a dog thats been hurt or hit. I will NEVER come back for a grooming. BTW: his hair cut was Atrocious.. not worth the $ you pay. read more
