Once, the owner had her son there & they were talking about how annoying a dog name hatchi(?) is because he doesn't get along with all dogs. Right in front me. And, if you're paying for boarding it's extra to pay for play time... otherwise the dog will just sit in the crate the whole time. It is very expensive boarding. I think playtime should be free to a certain extent if you truly care about animals, meeting their needs shouldn't cost extra. On the other side, the women running the yard seems to have deep passion for her job. She cares about my dog & address them by their name. Overall, I bring my dog because it's cheap. If it wasn't cheap, I wouldn't bring him.

When they brought in Lennox/red and tan male Doberman Pinscher, we were obseved for a short time, seeing how you interact with the dog and how the dog is with you. The young woman answered all of my questions with the information they had on file for him. My experience was great, he was full of life, minded well, was very lovey to me, and we played tug with a toy already in their meet n greet room at the shelter. We are looking forward to picking up Lennox later this week.

The shelter worker said she had allergies and it would be for the rest of her life. Plus the dog would not come near me, not even for hot dog. She went around the room and peed where the first dog peed, I told her that I wanted the first one. I got him in 2022 and he was also very little over a year old. The Kent County Animal Shelter made is so easy adopt Kenny and the paperwork was a breeze. I would go back and adopt another dog at anytime if I could have another one (only one animal where I live).

I am extremely disappointed with the care my cat received at this veterinary clinic. Following his…read moresurgery, he was not prescribed post-operative antibiotics, and unfortunately, he has since developed an infection at one of his surgical wound sites that required emergent veterinary attention. AND on top of that they have a medical line for post op and post visit concerns. It would be effective if they answered the phone. I called them on and off about 10 different times and texted with no response. Understanding they are a high volume clinic, these lines should be monitored at all times during the day. As a pet owner, I trusted this clinic to provide appropriate post-operative care and guidance to ensure my cat recovered safely. Instead, I am now dealing with the stress, expense, and concern of an infection that required immediate medical intervention. This has now happened twice. What is particularly frustrating is the lack of preventative care and the fact that my cat is now suffering from a complication following a procedure that was supposed to help him. I understand that infections can happen after surgery, but I expect a veterinary practice to take appropriate precautions, provide thorough discharge instructions, and ensure owners know what signs to watch for and when to seek additional care. I am incredibly upset that my cat had to experience this, and I feel that the level of post-operative care provided was unacceptable. I would strongly encourage other pet owners to ask questions about post-surgical care, medications, and infection prevention before trusting this clinic with their pets. Our pets depend on us to advocate for them, and I wish I had received better care and communication from the start. I expected my cat to come home and heal. Instead, I am watching him suffer through an entirely different medical issue. This experience has been heartbreaking, and I would not feel comfortable trusting this clinic with my pet's care again.
