Doc Nielsen came as a really good recommendation not only from my fellow pet lovers but also from the online community. I know we had to go straight to the best which was Doc Nielsen. We visited Doc Nielsen at his hospital located in Mandaluyong, Vets In Practice, another establishment worthy of a 5-star review of its own. Doc Nielsen found out that there was a minor fracture on my doggie's spine which may need surgery when left untreated. He suggested to take the less invasive approach and give him steroids and plenty of nourishment instead. A few weeks later, my doggie was all better jumping and running like crazy. More than healing our dog, you can really see his genuine love for animals once you see him in action. I still remember how he pet my dog before we left the hospital in such a caring way, he said "hope you get better soon buddy". Thanks Doc Nielsen!

Even to people when it comws to surgery its tricky na especially for seniors. They are also quick to add stuff to your bill without doing the correct process of making sure if my dog can handle it. Long story short, my dog pulled thru with 2 surgeries like a champ. He had to be confined of course but they are pushing for anotjer days stay thays plus.3200 when my dog is ok naman na. They even lied to me saying na matamlay daw yung aso ko pero hindi naman. There are a lot of red flags like...the branch is renovated pero mabaho pa rin..somethings really wrong. And this is what made me mad. After surgery may sugat it has to be cleaned 2x a day. When i hot my dog the morning after they cleaned him na so ill do the cleaning in the evening. Which i failed to do bec they used heavy duty masking tape on the wound. Is that even standard practice???? Havent they jeard of 3M medical tape with varied thickness?? I paid more than 20k and they have the nerve to use MASKING TAPE on my dog??? And they keep telling me that my dog has cancer and they are ready to discuss chenotherapy packages with me WITHOUT biopsy results. The first time I really paid a visit to Pet House was when my hamster was sick and the resident vet, Mayet, was kind enough to offer some tips and suggest a medicine with free drops - and no vet fee for my little pet. Seeing how genuine of a vet she is, I selected her as my dog's vet, having had this experience with her in the past. Now speaking of their vet services, I must say the service is really good. Vet Mayet and the other vets and their assistants in the branch are very helpful and knowledgeable when it comes to handling pets and diagnosing if there is any problem. Dogs are also given the utmost in service as they often recommend routine check-ups for vaccinations or deworming and flea and tick prevention. While they add a date, what I really like about them is that they make sure the owners know when the schedule is as they text you on the morning of the scheduled appointment. Overall, I can never think of having another vet for my furry pal. While their rates vary and depending on the medicine and what size of dog you have, I have to say that their prices range between affordable to expensive (dog medicine imported from the US can become quite a stretch for the wallet), but if you're talking about your dog's overall health, price shouldn't be a problem.

They said that the vet is resting and still not calling any pet patients. We have waited for more than 3hrs to be called by the vet, but still to not avail. That vet clinic did not matter the importance of time of the pet owners. The power tripping attitude of those vets in that clinic reflects their unprofessional attitudes.

He works out of Mount Sinai Veterinary Practice and also does house calls a few days a week. When we first moved to Manila our dog did not adjust well. She was not eating, depressed and frightened. When she did eventually eat, she would throw up or have diarrhea. One day the hair on her back stood up like she was frightened, but it was in a polka dot configuration. To calm her down I rubbed her back only to notice there were bumps covering her entire backside. That's why her hair was standing up! I immediately called Dr. Racky for a home visit. He rushed over and concluded that my dog had an allergic reaction to something. We couldn't quite figure out what so we had to eliminate her food items one by one until we figured it out. To this day we still don't know what it was or perhaps it was a combination of things, but we were just glad to have Dr. Racky readily available to treat our pup. She was well in no time after the much needed meds he gave her. I will not hesitate to call Dr. Racky the next time I need a vet and house calls make it so convenient.

It's just recently that they've opened a full-on low cost veterinary clinic at Mandaluyong from a purely Kapon clinic before back in Singalong, Manila. The usual rate for spaying and neutering your pets in most veterinary clinics would more often than not NOT go below 5000 pesos. But CARA's rate falls a little less than a thousand for cats and a little more than a thousand for dogs. This has encouraged a lot of pet owners in the metro to go ahead with the surgery of their pets, not only because of its healthful benefits but also because of its affordability. The clinic rates aren't bad too. You can get a CBC test for less than a thousand, deworming starting at 150 pesos, vaccination starting at 400 pesos and lots more. They also offer quality boarding services starting at 250 a night. Hospital confinement is also an option here, but on a case to case basis. They don't offer grooming services though, but with CARA's increasingly fast growth in the recent years, maybe they would soon enough. Oh, did I mention that the organization houses a lot of adorable kitties and doggies needing homes?
