I went to my regular vet (routine vacs, etc.) and the vet there examined him and said he would treat him until Monday morning and gave me an itemized estimate of $2,000. I cried because I couldn't afford that amount with the possibility of the bill increasing. I asked the vet to put my cat down. He would not since the UTI was a treatable condition. He stated he would treat my cat or I could get another price. Note it was about 30 minutes until closing and he stated if I wait until Monday to decide my cat's bladder would rupture. I made a few phones calls trying to find another vet before closing at 12. Dr. Snead at Goodwin Vet Clinic took my call and she stayed after closing hours and waited for me to get there to examine him. She treated him (catheters, pain meds, antibiotics) at the clinic for 5 days for $1,000. After I brought him home she called every day to check on him. I took him in for a recheck about a week later and he was much better. Thank you Dr. Snead. A person's true character is shown in a split second decision such as the one Dr. Snead made that day to see my cat. She could have easily left at closing time since my cat wasn't a patient of Goodwin's. Thank you Dr. Snead, Boomer loves you !!!!

Staff is friendly and really seems to care about the animals. I am able to monitor her play on the web cams during the day. I think she'll be very happy there. Back in July, 2 of my dogs were boarded for about 6 days. When I picked them up, I had noticed there was blood on the floor in the lobby, but didn't think anything of it. We went back home and when I was unloading the dogs in the car, I saw that there was blood all over one of the floor mats. After further inspection, it was one of my dogs. They had clipped the quick and was bleeding while still in the facility. He had a rash that was really bad, had hives, lost the hair behind his ears, and had a double ear infection. I was not told any of this when I picked him up, but you can physically see it. He's never been back. On Monday, my sisters cat was showing some pretty disturbing signs. She wasn't eating, drinking, using the bathroom, balance issues, or had any energy. She was just stiff. She was set to have an appt with them on Friday, just to get shots but I called to see if they could see her then. We went there and they checked out her out. They said it was an upper respiratory infection. They gave her some injections, did some bloodwork, and gave her some medicine. Throughout yesterday, she wasn't getting better, but she wasn't declining. Around 10pm last night, she took a turn for the worst and was rushed to VCA's ER. We then found out that it wasn't an upper respiratory infection, it was something neurological and her eyes were twitching. They kept her overnight to see if they could turn it around. 5 AM this morning, we got a call that she did not make it due to organ failure. The bloodwork showed that. Her liver and kidneys shut down. It was probably something she ingested, but it is unknown on what. I gave them a pass for my boy and took him to somewhere else, but I wasn't expecting them to drop the ball on something like this. My sister's cat was failed terribly. They told us over the phone that they ASSUMED it was an upper respiratory infection because she had one in the past while she was at the humane shelter before she was adopted by my sister. So basically, forget trying to find other causes and just give her all these treatments that cost almost $400 that did nothing. We brought her to the VCA ER and it took them no time to figure out what was going on. It was never an upper respiratory infection. Do better.

I would pick using Creature Comforts over any vet or pet hotel any day. They are able to start caring for my babies the day I leave and stop the day I come home no matter the day of the week. I do not have to wait until they open to pick my dogs up and pay for a day I don't need. I have also used other services but was not pleased as they are not near as up to date and professional as Creature Comforts. All of the sitters are amazing.

We are so glad we found this business and we don't dread going out of town and having our animals kenneled and anxious anymore.

After our recent boarding, our collie/lab mix (who usually only likes the people she lives with) jumped up and gave the vet tech a hug before we left, so we know they're being taken great care of- it was so sweet(: The vet was great when we had a dental issue with one of our shih tzus, as well as all of their wellness visits. The grooming was amazing as well (which is hard to find with shih tzus). The groomer called and talked to me for about 15-20 minutes to get to know my dogs before she groomed them. However, this facility administered additional vaccinations beyond those boosters, even though this is not my dog's primary veterinary clinic. Due to the lack of clear communication and coordination regarding these additional vaccinations, my dog's primary veterinarian later administered one of the same vaccines again, unaware that it had already been given. When I raised my concerns, the facility stated that they were not responsible. I found their response extremely disappointing. This is not about money. It is about my dog's health, proper communication, and accountability. I do not understand why additional vaccines were administered beyond the boosters my dog needed, without clearly discussing them with me and coordinating with his primary veterinarian. What concerns me even more is how my complaint was handled. I expected a professional explanation and a willingness to address my concerns, but that was not my experience. This was one of the worst experiences I have had with a pet care facility. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend this place, especially when it comes to vaccination decisions, communication, and customer service.
