From 3/3/26 to 3/7/26 my dog stayed at the hotel at Royal Pets Market and Resort Carrollwood. He has IVDD. A disc disease in his back that he has had surgery on in the past following temporary paralysis caused from his disease. He is on permanent restrictions to prevent recurring paralysis. His care includes monthly injections, therapy, and daily medication. The medication helps reduce anxiety from not being home and excitement from other dogs. This anxiety and excitement causes him to behave in a way that could physically injure him. His medication also helps him with pain and reducing inflammation. I requested a "condo" style room spaced far from other boarded pets as I always do when he stays here. I also requested to add on "private play" because he is not allowed around other dogs due to the aforementioned reasons, therefore is restricted from normal daycare. However he still needs enrichment and human interaction (as any animal would) so that is why we specifically request this service. I left him in the care of this facility as I always do. They have always accomodated these special requests and care without issue. When I came back home after picking him up, I was horrified by what I saw. I brought in brand new prescriptions with my dog when I dropped him off. When I looked at his medications, every single pill was still accounted for in the bottles. That means that over the span of 5 days and 4 nights they never once gave my dog his medication. This is a serious health problem and it's negligence. In addition to this, my invoice stated that he had been staying in a "royal chamber" style room. I have never once asked for this type of room. It's the most expensive room because it has a TV in it and it also has its own access to outdoors. I believe they put him in this room so they didn't have to take him out themselves. There was no "private play" listed on the invoice. So they never took him. He had no human interaction the entire time he was there. He was left to go in and out himself. No walking, no playing, no nothing. Pure laziness and neglect. I have tried numerous times to contact them and they refuse to call me back. The employees keep telling me "the manager isn't here", "I don't know when they will be coming in", and "The owner is dealing with issues with her elderly mother." No excuse. Your family is important, well so is mine. I reported it to the BBB and they did not respond to them either. It has now been more than a month since this happened. They clearly don't care. And now this is resulting in a poor Yelp review after numerous attempts to resolve this privately. Please do not bring your pets here if they need medication daily for a condition that's life or death. I'm thankful my dog's life didn't depend on it, but if it did, he would be dead right now. Don't leave your babies lives in the hands of these people. You may never be able to bring them home again if so.

This was our first time ever leaving our 4 dogs so to say I was nervous was an understatement. The Pocono Pet Nanny's Bed and Biscuit is probably one of the nicest and cleanest places I have ever seen.There are several themed rooms along with beds, TVs and music playing. There is a fenced in area that the dogs can go out to run and do their "business" which worked out well for my dogs since they are used to a fenced backyard. The check in process was great. Jan is very organized and takes lots of notes on each dog. She allowed me to bring in our dogs' bedding, crates and bowls which was fantastic because our dogs were so used to their own things. I will admit I was crying when I left the dogs  but knew I made the BEST decision leaving them with her. Throughout my trip I received texts and pictures updating me on each of my dogs. Never once did I question if my dogs were okay: I knew they were in the best of hands!  Thanks to Jan and her staff, my family and I were able to enjoy our first trip ever. I had such peace of mind! Prior to booking our dogs' stay, Jan was great at communicating with us and never hesitated to answer my (many, many) questions. I was a bit nervous because our one dog is very food aggressive. Jan had no problem taking him in and even fed him in a separate area. She and her staff are "pet people" and truly have love and compassion for animals. Our family never traveled because we did not want to leave our dogs, but I have a feeling our visit with the Pocono Pet Nanny might change things for us. The facility is clean, bright and the staff were very pleasant. We waited a short time before being seen and the procedure necessary was clearly explained and all of the pricing was printed for my review. I very much appreciated how communicative the doctor and the staff were. Luckily, due to the visit a crisis was averted and we now have a great family vet for our fur babies. Like many other places, it seems like they're dealing with a staffing shortage. I understand the appeal but don't think it worked well for my pet. I have a basset hound so she is grouped with the big dogs due to weight although she is much smaller than most the other dogs in size so I think that's why she wasn't very playful or social (which is extremely out of the ordinary). My dog is very timid/scared around strangers but he has no problem running away with all of them and being pet by them. They've always made me and him feel very comfortable and confident with their care. Three of my favorite parts of camp bow wow are: 1) themed weeks. Each week the theme for camp changes and that includes sounds, smells, activities, etc. It's very fun! 2) all the activities! They offer so many group activities and one-on-one enrichment opportunities. My dog lives for water days and ball pit days - cannot get enough! I included a photo they snapped on their instagram. Pure joy. 3) cameras and photos!! They post so many photos throughout the day to social and they're all soooo cute. You can also watch a live feed of each room to check on your pup throughout the day. I highly recommend Camp Bow Wow! 10 out of 10!
