It was just blindness on my part - thinking Only CB. But Gunnison is an easy commute from Almont (where we were staying) and close enough to Crested Butte. The dog got spooked by something and bolted. He was wearing a harness with a short leash attached. In this heavily wooded area he could have easily gotten caught on a branch and would never have been found. He was missing for SEVEN days! I've never experienced such unprofessional behavior. Interrupting, talking over me, insisting I was saying things that I was not, threatening to cancel my reservation if I didn't stop "being a problem". So, I did his one month board and train starting the new year in January and picked my boy up in February. Not only did my dog still have not the slightest clue on how to walk on a leash, he also had NO basic obedience skills training. When I got my dog home, we discovered his groin area covered in scabs. After a couple days of warm baths and hydrogen peroxide over the area, his scabs came off revealing puncture wounds. He was bitten by something where he was being kept. Ted had said my dog would be kept comfortable in his home. Since my dog's feet were stained yellow and he had some type of bite, he was apparently put somewhere and kept where he was totally neglected. I had a number of friends and family planning on taking their dogs to Ted for training but waiting to see how my little guy did first before they made that kind of investment. Not only have they changed their minds, but they are also letting everyone they know of my experience. Absolute scam! My dog was abused and I will be reporting my experience to everyone I come across and filing formal complaints. I'm an honorably discharged combat veteran and have worked very hard only to have my money stolen and my dog harmed. This minor yelp review is only the beginning. Hopefully, it will save someone else money, time and heartache. I have a sinking feeling I am not the only person who has been harmed by this so called trainer. Hopefully, I will be the last.

We let them know what to expect for him: he gets hot so dunking him in water is good, he loves to play with other doggies, he loves sticks and fetch, off leash is ok, he pukes sometimes, etc. They took him back to play in a big yard then to the beach where they took tons of pictures and videos of him having a blast which they also emailed to me. He came back to us tired and happy. Dropping him off and picking him up was easy and they are reasonably priced. I will definitely leave my doggie with them if I come back up to South Lake.

Plus, she tends to be a little apprehensive of other dogs off bat. The second I met them, however, they immediately put me and Rocket at ease. They showed up with three other dogs in tow. Not only did they offer to meet in the dogs' neutral territory in front of the Heavenly gondola, which was so convenient, they immediately wanted to walk all of them together to ensure that the dogs felt comfortable with each other. And it worked! Throughout Rocket's stay, Amit and DD were open and communicative - sending us pictures of Rocket playing in the snow and walking along the beach. Definitely got me to set my worries aside. Plus, it ensured that she was getting a good work out. When we were done snowboarding, they came to meet us in front of the gondola, with a happy Rocket leading the leash. On the way home, Rocket immediately napped, which meant she got some good exercise. Afterward, there were even a couple of unexpected perks, including some still shots that they took of Rocket, which were all emailed and posted on their FB page. Definitely will be recommending them to my friends and family, and will be happy to call them again next time Rocket is in Tahoe!

But after we arrived it was clear that CLK was represented accurately in its website and we felt great about leaving Loke at CLK. The outdoor play environment was perfect for Loki as he is a very active and athletic pooch. He obviously had friends and there was nearby human supervision and interaction. The indoor kennel area was clean and organized with heated floors for comfort. Loki seemed very happy when we found him upon our return. CLK may just be our "Go-To" boarding kennel for our future needs.
