Excellent! I wasn't too sure what to expect as this restaurant is nestled amongst a lot of souvenir…read moreshops and cheap eateries in the port area. But we had about an hour before our tickets to the aquarium and wanted to catch a light lunch so we decided to give it a try.
The menu is heavily seafood-focused so that's what we went for. To start we got the marinated fresh anchovies - delicious! Light and flavorful with a bright olive oil and lemon dressing. I got the mussel soup next, which was outstanding. Beautifully fresh, tiny mussels in a delicious tomato broth that was perfect to enjoy with their bread. My husband got the linguine with crab, and I must say, it was perhaps the best crab I have ever tasted in my life. Sweet and meaty, served partly in the shell, just outstanding. Everything was so good I wish we'd had more time and more appetite to try more of their offerings...but perhaps on a future visit to Genoa.
