I moved to Lansing from Chicago to live with my fiance having no real job prospects. My only minor criticism was that I never heard from an actual person at Westaff to confirm they'd received my application and we actively trying to find a position for me. But that turned out to not matter at all! One morning I received a call from Mark Joseph saying he had a job for me, but that I would need to interview the next day and start my job the day after that... if that was ok. Of course that was ok!! My placement was a good, well-paying administrative position at a hospital. After working there for 8 weeks, I took two weeks off...got married...and before I could even call Mark to say I was ready for my next assignment, he contacted me to say that the hospital wanted me back for another 8 weeks!! After completing that assigment, I had logged enough hours to be hired away from Westaff and into the hospital. The hospital needed me to stay so they hired me on as an official employee and I couldn't be happier. When I spoke to Mark about my new job, he couldn't have been more gracious and let me know that if I ever needed his services again, I shouldn't hesitate to call. My experience with the Lansing Westaff was wonderful and I would recommend them to anyone!

As far as ratings and comparisons, I've worked with other agencies in the past who have gone out of their way to make me feel like I'm actually one of their employees. Westaff . . . not so much. They're pretty cut-and-dry: hook you up with the job, have you sign the paperwork, pay you at the end of the period, and collect their share. Not that that's bad; that's what they're asked to do. There's just nothing spectacular about how they do it. In short, they've been nice and efficient, but don't expect to get pampered.

My name is Malachi and I've been trying to get employment through this branch in Lansing since I've…read moremoved out here and I know for a fact this branch is managed poorly. I've called, been left on hold, just for them to pick and forget I was on hold. I've called and been put on hold and the lady picks up the phone speaking as if she made a call to me which I thought was weird. I was told I qualified for multiple jobs that I was later told I wasn't qualified for. I've gone up there to apply and they were closing early (4p on a Friday). I just called this morning (8:42am) and no one answers I get the "our office is closed" machine. My experience with this branch has been less then exceptional.
