This is one of the lesser-known employment agencies in the area. I had a chance to visit them…read morebecause I applied for a position they advertised online. Upon my arrival, I was given a small stack of paperwork I needed to date and sign relating to the client company where I was to be assigned. Once that was completed, they had me go to a vacant computer to fill out more forms, this time pertaining to my personal information. When the electronic forms were all done, I had to take a typing test. The computer I used to take the typing test was S L O W and could not keep up with my typing speed on the keyboard. The website for the typing test also kept generating lots of pop-up ads which slowed me down even further. I took the test a number of times before I got a passing/satisfactory score. Drug testing was also required, so I was given a small plastic container and led to the restroom, where I gave a urine sample. Finally, I watched an introductory/safety video which was required viewing for all new applicants. Before I left, the recruiter said she would contact me on the following Monday (this was on a Friday when I came in) so that I could start work on Tuesday. When Monday came around, I never received a call, so I called them before the end of the day to find out what was going on. I was told by another recruiter (the one I originally dealt with was out of the office) that they were going to have a meeting with the client company to find out how many people were needed (or something to that effect). Needless to say, I was NOT happy! X-( Lastly, I got a call that Friday letting me know I will be working the following Tuesday at the client company, a local non-profit. Overall, this agency did as they promised. However, I took away a star for being given erroneous information. They shouldn't be telling applicants these things unless they were TRUTHFUL! I took away another star because the computer I used to take the typing test was slow and full of pop-ups. Employment agencies can be helpful in a job search, but I truly feel you're better off finding a job on your own.

It was the absolute worst experience I ever had. I feel discriminated against for a few reasons…read more Straight to the point, I would stay away from this agency, especially away from Guadalupe Martinez. She set me up on a couple of interviews. One was a maybe, and the other one I got it for sure. I had to get a loan from my bank to put gas in my car because I have been unemployed for a month now, so both interviews meant a lot to me. I live in San Pedro, and rent is above average compared to other places. To make it to the interview today 5/1/2024 at 8:30 in the morning, I had to drop my daughter off a lot earlier than the normal time than I do, use more money I got loaned to me from the first interview, drive all the way to Santa Fe Springs, rushing to make it on time, and taking 3 freeways to get there, I then drove to their closest location they have next to the workplace I interviewed to take a swab drug test, passed, and I was gonna fill out a 43 page application form sent to my email by Guadalupe Martinez. I began the application and typed in my social security number, and then it said to call the office. So I called the office and I spoke to Guadalupe Martinez and she told me she will call me back to see what is going on. She then called me back, telling me that she couldn't send me out because I was dishonest and that I had an issue with my file. That issue was back in 2021. When I first started welding, I got flashburn for the first time in my eyes. I didn't know what flashburn was at the time, so I went to the doctor to get checked. I reported myself to the agency, and they sent me to their doctor. After being seen by the doctor, they gave me a drug screen. It turned out that I was positive for Marijuana so they decided to fire me and not give me any medical benefits. Today, in 2024, it is now ILLEGAL for the employer to discriminate against those who use Marijuana on their free time under AB1288. I think it's ridiculous that they want to hold that against me 3 years later. Also, Guadalupe Martinez should have done her job as a professional and look through my file so I wouldn't have had to pull out a loan from my bank to get to my interviews. I'm down money and have to move on to the next place while she is there at her desk, taking calls doing nothing. Instead of working with me, I was led on because someone didn't do their job checking the status of my file. I was extremely upset that I had to go through all this just so she could be sitting at her desk. I would not recommend this place to anyone. The value of this place is equal to less than nothing.

No warning no nothing straight to the write up. That day we had to go in to work for training classes at the 6:am 1st shift but my regular shift is the 10pm graveyard shift so it wasn't even my normal shift that this 1 minute early clock in happened. So I work 2 jobs so I wasn't able to go in to their office right away to sign the write up it wasn't even my job giving me the write up it was just Maribel from this agency Skillset group. So Maribel told me to go in this friday witch is today to sign the write. Not knowing she stopped my direct deposit with out notice and today I pay my mortgage i always pay it first thing in the morning to get it out the way,but now since I have online banking I have to pay to get my check cashed since she held my pay for the week hostage again without any warning till I go in to their office and sign the write up she says. Even tho me and her had an agreement in a text witch I still have that Friday (today)I would make time to go in a sign it. Now I have to pay like 40.00$ to cash my check since I have online banking she says I will get my check when I go in and sign the write up . This has to be illegal.

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!! If you end up using Michelle, it will ruin all other agencies for you…read more I am a professional career nanny. I have over seven years of nannying experience, five years of teaching experience, and more. I have a B/S in childhood development as well as my MAT. When I began my search for a nanny-family in LA, I did my due diligence by shopping around looking at multiple agencies. I found that Michelle had the TOP RATED AGENCY ON MULTIPLE SITES and wanted to take a closer look. I read through every. single. review. I thought to myself, "Really? Every single person had a positive experience with this agency? That's just not statistically possible if she's really working with this many people..." I decided to set up a meeting. I drove to her office where we met to discuss particulars (what I'm looking for, what families are in the market for a nanny right now, what ages/salary/commute/hours I'm looking for) and the moment she opened the door and greeted me with a giant smile and her upbeat, positive attitude, I felt like just working with HER was my perfect placement! Once we started the process, Michelle was completely professional while also refreshingly honest and realistic in her suggestions. She really took the time to get to know me and what I was looking for and she only suggested me to families that she knew had the potential to be a "love match!" After looking at a few potential matches, Michelle called me to tell me that she had "found my family!" She said, "This is the one. Please go for an interview and see for yourself." So I did. This is the part of the review where I'm going to get annoyingly emotional. Not only did the family and I immediately "click," but Michelle had made sure that all of our stats were in alignment. The age range, schedule, amount of hours, commuting time, pay rate, expectations and needs happened to all align with what I was looking for. It was LITERALLY the PERFECT PLACEMENT!!!! Coincidence? I think not. Michelle is highly intelligent, professional, personable, understanding, diligent, experienced, communicative, and pleasantly charismatic and I owe my job satisfaction directly to her. Now that I think about it, maybe I should send over a bottle of wine. Thank you, Michelle, for just being so incredibly good at what you do. As I mentioned earlier, when I started this process, I read through every one of your (5 star) reviews and thought, "There's just no way every single review can be five stars..." and now here I am adding one more.

It seemed like I had landed a few dream jobs only for it to slip away from me. Really trying times. Then I met Michelle! This brings a smile to my face. Meeting with her felt like chatting with a friend. I realized after that this is her skill. She loves people and wants to represent both the families and the nannies. It was a slow period and she didn't have any job opportunities at the time when I signed up with her agency, the perfect placement. After being on the hunt for my top nanny job with a kind family for many months and it wasn't happening I was getting ready to move out of state. I mentioned to Michelle that I'm no longer looking for a position as it doesn't seem like it's going to happen. Michelle didn't give up on me. She called me with 2 opportunities. I went on both interviews and was called back to do a trial for the one that I wanted !! Yay !! Then Michelle negotiated some time off that I needed to take care of a health issue. The family was so wonderful they waited for me ! All I can say everything lined up perfectly. Michelle will always return your call in a timely manner and she always checks in to see how you're doing. I thank God I met Michelle !

We waited on hold for a supervisor who of course never came. The person took our number and said he would call us back. He called back hours later and the SUPERVISER actually said, "If we give you that phone number then everybody would be calling it." MIND BLOWN! We have been shipping for over 40 years and we have never dealt with a trucking company that would refuse to help a customer get their pallet. We had to tell our customer to be willing to waste his time and just head down there to the address we assisted him with and tell them you want your pallet! Of course our company rep we had contact for doesn't work there anymore and no one ever contacted us with a new Rep.BEWARE! IF you have the local HDS, Daylight Transport or Oak Harbor they are great! I should probably just list a slew of other companies in here to use because I am just speechless.

I made an appointment with a man named Omar over the phone who was an executive assistant (which is pointless because it's first come first serve there). So I show up at my appointed time and as soon as I walked in, I was looked at by both the staffing agents and wasn't spoken to at all so I just sat down bc I thought that maybe I would get called since I had shown up slightly early. I then got up and went to ask them about my appointment because it was already 6 past my appointed time. It already seemed like they were annoyed and expected me to know what to do so she said nothing to me while just handing me the clipboard except "if you have a question then ask." I still think nothing of it because I'm very introverted but when I had asked a question about the application she said "Yes obviously that's what it means." So I think okay that was kind of rude and as other women and I are trying to finish our application they loudly begin to speak about "how [staffing agents son] my son looks exactly like his father but I love my son so much" normally this would not matter but it was being said AS ONE OF THE WOMEN IS STANDING THERE WAITING FOR THEM TO ACKNOWLEDGE HER. She then says excuse me in Spanish to which one of the agents sighed loudly and asked what she needed. After I finished applying, I gave them my information and she asked me about a job in Ontario. I told her politely Ontario was way too far for me but I'm willing to wait for anything in Riverside, chino, or corona. I was ten interrupted bc the other agent wanted to discuss work drama while I was in the middle of being helped. When I then butted in bc I wasn't being helped. She rolled her eyes at me said "well we have nothing for you then. I'll see if the place in corona is hiring and within an hour you should receive a call from me". So I went home and waited and waited. I never got a call. This was June 17th I was given an email by a man name Omar who is the executive agent who followed up on me as to whether I made it to the appointment I had made. I responded to him with "yes I did however I was never called back". He said he would look into it and the next day I receive a call from the agent who helped me. THIS WAS JUNE 30TH. IT TOOK HER TWO WEEKS TO EVEN ACKNOWLEDGE THE FACT THAT SHE NEVER CALLED ME ABOUT THE JOB SHE SAID SHE WOULD. She only called me because I had essentially "told" on her. I told her 4 times that I was nowhere near interested in 3rd shift and she kept offering it to me. She said she had a job ready for me to start the next day so I excitedly accept. NOT TO MENTION SHE CALLED ME ABOUT FOUR TIMES to tell me almost the same thing every time!! The job was postponed and it started next week. I was okay with waiting and so she said she would email the information on the job and SHE NEVER DID. So I ended up finding a job on MY own rather than Fairway Staffing. IF YOU DIDNT READ THIS, TO SUM UP, the staffing agents are extremely rude, are terrible at their jobs, and honestly you're just better off with another agency or applying on your own. Try Team Quest Staffing or People Ready they find you jobs a lot faster than this one
