Kaitlin M was my therapist and she is all around everything you want in a physical therapist. She really worked hard with me to try and reach my goals. Prior to living in the Toms River area and being a Thompson patient, I underwent several cervical spine epidurals to eliminate pain radiating from my neck down to my fingertips. These epidurals would work ~6 months and then I'd require another round for the pain. I started seeing Dr. Lynn and am thrilled that I haven't needed one since; it's been 4+ years since my last cervical epidural. Dr. Lynn is proactive in her approach to treatment, listens to any concerns I have, and is always available when needed. Dr. Josh takes every ache, pain, and concern into consideration when treating his patients and you never feel like your treatment is rushed. Krista, Thompson's nurse practitioner, always goes the extra mile and does everything she can to make her patient's lives easier. My sons (ages 16 and 20) are also patients and I wouldn't want them going anywhere else. I also have ongoing back issues and Thompson provided me with all the non-surgical options available: PT (Dr.'s Cassie and Pete), acupuncture (April), massage therapy (Andrea), lower lumbar epidurals (Dr. Yen) and ultimately when that wasn't enough to eliminate my pain, referred me to a great surgeon. While I'm not 100% pain-free, I'm in a much better place than I was. From the doctors and nurses to the office staff, they're all top notch. I like that Thompson isn't a stuffy, formal office where it's just "all business"; I know they're treating me and my family exactly how they would treat their own. You won't find a better team.

In a nutshell, I would highly recommend Summit Physical Therapy for any of your PT needs. I'm sure that every patient's needs are handled differently, but for my full knee replacement, these 20+ PT sessions were just what the doctor ordered....literally. Unlike prior experiences with other PT groups, I had the same professional therapist each and every visit, and he personally managed my rehab and extensive table time, which involved heat, manual massage & flexibility therapy. I could never have asked for a more attentive and results-oriented Therapist. Additionally, the staff was extremely helpful in assisting with "post table" floor, stretching, balance and strengthening exercises. For me, every session lasted about 2 hours, and there was absolutely no wasted or down time. As for the facility, it is large, open-aired, comfortable and full of the latest strengthening and rehab equipment. Thanks to their assistance I have finished my therapy for now......but when my next need for PT arises, I will look no further than Summit Physical Therapy.
