I've been using them for years and am very happy, but they no longer have limo service due to insurance costs. I get it. So several months ago I needed a limousine for an airport run with my wife and kids for a family vacation to Hawaii. My regular guy recommended X-Treme, and we were very happy with them. Very professional. End of year comes around quickly so I check if they are available. Yes they are. The owner Mike had constant communication with me to assure me that they had everything under control. A couple of days before our day Mike calls and recommends we leave a little earlier because at this time of year New York City is packed and was he right. It was Santa Con, and it was walk to wall Santa's. Our driver has the car set with soda, water, and champagne. First stop, the theater for a play, "Music Man", with Hugh Jackman. I was outnumbered on this decision but it was well worth it. Our driver brought us to the main entrance of the theater so all we had to do was step out of the car and into the theater. Here's a little glitch. We were having dinner at the Capital Grill, but there are three in the city. Our driver thinks we are going to the one just one block from the theater. He suggested we walk instead of waiting for him. ?????? I got four women and their dates and it's very cold. The look in their eyes says I better fix this. Must be some misunderstanding so I text Mike who contacts the driver and it's rectified in minutes. The driver text me and is very apologetic. After dinner, see my review of the Capital Grill, we are on our way home. As far as I'm concerned this is the only way to travel to the city. We are home safe and sound and everyone is happy. You have a great driver, Kevin, who is very knowledgeable, friendly, fun, and most of all patient to put up with all our drunken shenanigans during this past weekend's Yelp Beer Bus event. The bus itself is clean, comfortable, and has both a tv and dock for playing your Ipod's. It's a great way to get around and taste a lot of beer without having to worry about getting a DWI ! Kevin knows all the routes to some of the best local breweries, and is a big craft beer guy himself. They do many beer tasting events on LI and around the local NY area and have packages available for group trips, or shorter shuttles to the local brew tastings. Check out the website for upcoming beer events and rates. To me, it's totally worth the cost to enjoy a worry free, and safe day, rather than drinking and driving. We hit up Great South Bay, Long Ireland, and Port Jeff Brewing Company. That last stop in Port Jeff on a terrific spring day was just perfect to try some beers and then wander around the town for a bite to eat before heading back to the train station to drop us off. Being that my Mom lives on the north shore of Long Island and people from this area expect the best and can be hard to please, I expected no problems. I booked a van with this company thanksgiving week to get five of us to JFK. At 8:30 (the time I booked) I began to get nervous as no car had arrived. With any other airport limo service the car arrived ten to fifteen minutes early to allow for the loading of luggage. I called Gino the owner who assured me the driver was five minutes away. 15 minutes later AND STILL NO CAR! also, Gino must have recognized my number on caller ID and would not answer the phone!! My dad called and he said his driver overslept and would leave now. We ended up having to take two cars to the airport AND WE WERE FLYING HOME TO A DIFFERENT AIRPORT. Gino apologized and offered us a voucher. I tried to use that voucher yesterday and arranged for a pick up time of 2:20. 2:53 AND NO CAR AGAIN!! Gino claimed there was traffic. We had to scramble for a ride to JFK! The car pulled into my neighborhood as we left and it was not a van like we booked but a Lincoln town car that would not have even fit our stuff.
