My friend had this company come to her home to serve hibachi. Such a great idea! She provided the menu prior and we had to add 20% gratuity to whatever we ordered and pay in advance. I'm not going to lie, it is a bit pricey, but I thought the experience was worth it. The menu had everything that you would expect from a typical hibachi restaurant. They were prompt and showed up on time. You have to provide your own silverware and plates. The chef was entertaining. Everything was organized. Sticky notes written with the order on it were placed on the plates so there was no confusion about who got what. The food was delicious. They only provided yum yum sauce and it was really good. I plan on using the company in the future and would totally recommend them for your at home hibachi event.

Our family of six used Personal Hibachi Chef for our Christmas dinner to avoid cooking ourselves and the inevitable "who's cleaning the kitchen" conversation and we all really enjoyed it. The crew of 3 came at the stated time and quickly set up the hibachi situation and got to cooking. We had the steak and shrimp hibachi and they brought a platter of sushi rolls and salad. It's been a while since I've been to a hibachi restaurant so I forgot they do a bit of entertaining while they cook, so I was pleasantly surprised when the chef gave us a bit of a show while he was cooking. We all enjoyed the abundant amount of food each of us got from the food that was cooked, my only wish was that there was an option to serve the shrimp and steak separately rather than together. I'm sure it's an option, I'm just that person in my family that likes options. I'm a big fan of sushi and the options could have been a little better, however, I think the hibachi is the draw for this business. Pre-cooked/tempura sushi in general just doesn't travel well and I'm not sure how far in advance they make the sushi because the cooked sushi was a little cold, as it is not made on site. There were a few other rolls that were a little better. I'm also not sure if there's an option to choose only hibachi or only sushi, perhaps the latter would allow them to focus solely on making sushi if that's what someone wanted. But clearly their main focus is hibachi, I can appreciate a business that focuses on one thing they can do well, rather than attempting several things that end up being average. I appreciate that they arrived on time, set-up quickly, cooked, put on a show, and broke down their equipment and bounced. I'd say they were there about 30-45 minutes tops and I appreciated the efficiency. This is actually a great idea considering COVID precautions etc. When they arrived and the entire time they were there they wore gloves, masks, and shoe coverings and were taking all necessary precautions. Our space is big enough to allow for proper social distancing, but this seems like it would be a really great thing to do outside as well.

Chunny giving Mom her own chopsticks. There were none for anyone else...

Chunny Oh and Papa came to our Conyers address to help us celebrate our mother's 87th birthday. They arrived on time, they were extremely pleasant and entertaining. Chunny flipped eggs and cups of rice and even tossed broccoli into our mouths! We had a great time and the food was delicious! We sang, danced and cheered our mother's birthday. Unfortunately the downside of our experience was the amount of food served! The website states that Batch A includes 58 shrimp. We only received 42 pieces! There were 8 of us but only 7 had shrimp because mom is allergic. We all had exactly 6 pieces of shrimp on our plates. A small amount of veggies were given and no napkins or silverware was provided! One paper plate per person is all that's included. No Wasabi for the sushi and only 2 lids were available for the small containers of soy sauce. The overall experience was fun but we didn't expect to have no leftovers for over $400. Hopefully they can do something to compensate us for the missing shrimp! Otherwise all went well. I was very dissatisfied with their service. Arrival time was 8:30-9:00p and they didn't come until 9:45p with no phone call to update us. Their attitudes was as if they were paying us service. The whole experience was rushed. This was my birthday party. I provided plates to be used and they wouldn't use what I provided. My colors was teal, gold, & black and they used blue and white paper plates. I had this company to come out to my house. I had 16 guest and we paid $900. Tip was automatically included with bad service. The shrimps was salty and the chicken & steak had no taste. Sushi was raw and I ask for none-raw sushi. I wouldn't ever recommend this company to anyone. They were very argumentative when we told them about the salty shrimps. Please don't use this company... if you do you will be very disappointed.

Heart shaped rice (that beat like a real heart) to go along with the party antics- so much fun!

We had an excellent time! The reservation process was simple. Once I reserved with a deposit, instructions were given for ordering a menu catered to what we wanted to eat. We had salad and an egg roll platter in addition to the seafood Hibachi! I highly recommend. I've already referred four friends and I hope they book and invite me

Which I really loved! Everything was hot and fresh! Most of my experiences with general tso's (for pick up or delivery) have been that the chicken skin is soggy. Or the chicken is tough. Not here though. The chicken had the perfect amount of sauce, flavor, and spice. And it wasn't spice just for heat. It was actually a good blend of spice and seasoning. The chicken skin had a little crunch to it and the chicken itself was tender and juicy. The fried rice was just brown rice, but that's ok. (In the 90's, fried rice came with onions, green peas, & carrots. But things have changed since the 2000's but I'm still adjusting to that lol). Overall, a great experience and I will be back!

It was also nice to see photos of customers who celebrated there in the past. We made reservations for hibachi but had to wait a little bit before the table was ready, but I appreciated that the staff was communicative about the delay. Staff was nice and attentive. The hibachi show was fun and entertaining, one of the more enjoyable ones I've seen! My husband enjoyed the sake and the ginger salad was very fresh, dressing was great as well. The soup was clear with a clean taste. The hibachi fried rice was aromatic and buttery. However, the noodles were not cooked on the hibachi grill, it came out before any of our meat/vegetables were cooked. Our shrimp and filet mignon was seasoned with a little bit of salt and pepper and was cooked perfectly. We shared an order of the fancy roll and spider roll. Both were delicious and beautifully present! I would recommend both! The restaurant also gives you a small complimentary slice of cake after the meal which was a great added bonus! We were told the dessert was made in house and flavors rotate which is pretty neat. Overall a really good experience!

It's a great place people often celebrate their birthdays at with top quality tastes. While Nakato didn't quite compete with Kobe's elegant interior or food quality, I did find it to be one of the best I've found so far in Atlanta! The exterior is very nice and I read that they renovated the interior. It feels very family friendly and welcoming. My husband and I got an avocado roll and a shrimp tempura roll (minus the masago this time) to share as an appetizer, which were so yummy! These rolls definitely hit the spot and we were tempted to order more but decided to be patient for the main event. We were seated at a table with a bunch of teens celebrating two birthdays, which was fine. The chef was funny in his interactions with them, and was polite to us as well. For my protein, I chose the shrimp & chicken. I almost just chose chicken because the meal already comes with a small serving of shrimp (I believe two shrimps), but my husband convinced me to get both so he could help me finish the shrimp (he doesn't really eat chicken). For my husband's protein, he went with the shrimp and scallops. As with most hibachi/teppanyaki places, we had clear broth mushroom soup to start. They were simple but comforting. Then, we were given our ginger house salads. The dressing is intense but I love intense. I mixed it into the lettuce and it was great. Next, our chef started on our meals. We were given grilled vegetables, noodles, fried rice (you can have for an upcharge from the regular white steamed rice, which is what our entire table and us did), and our proteins. I'm so glad I ended up getting half shrimp because it was very good! Sadly, I must say, skip the chicken. It was a little chewy, a tad dry, and pretty flavorless. The yum yum sauce helped. My husband's scallops were great... very tender and flavorful. The noodles were okay... I just prefer the linguine I get at Kobe's to these squiggly thin noodles that feel almost more ramen-like but not quite. I can't help but compare... and I understand that what I'm used to is probably not "authentic." Please excuse my ignorance. The veggies were pretty good but I'm used to a bit more of an al dente grilled bite versus soft. The fried rice was excellent. Very tasty! Portions are great and prices seem fair! Over all, we had a good experience here and are excited to return.

We got a bunch of things including the hibachi (steak and shrimp), Tomiyama chicken, pad Thai, and spring rolls. While everything was just mid, I have to call out the pad Thai and spring rolls. I know it was probably busier than usual due to Eid, but everything was a little dirty - from dishes to the table to the thing you get your check in, they all had something gross on it. We were able to flag the staff down at some point to clean the table and dishes, but it still felt gross. Super disappointing experience.
