The instructors are highly experienced and definitely focused on overall fitness and progress of students, and run classes with this in mind. Take that, globo-gym! The instructors are also well respected in the martial arts community and have built a large network of guest instructors from Uechi schools across the country. 3) The students. You can get as much or as little as you want to from training with students of similar or more advanced skill, and there's a lot to take away if you want it. You can just come in a few times a week and train and go home, or you can meet some new friends and have people to grab sushi with after class.
