Looking for a photographer to catch the best moments in your life? Karen is it!…read more From emails, texts and our entire session you will feel great with the decision in having Karen be your photographer. I wish I found her sooner. But happy she was able to capture our last miracle baby. The photos are just so amazing and I can't stop looking at them. We drove from Oakley to have her do our photos, her studio is perfect and she has everything. Which is worth it because I for one am forgetful which I forgot to bring our diaper bag! Thankfully Karen came to the rescue with diapers. She has all the cute and fun things to make your photos meet your vision and then some. All my kids are rainbow babies and the rainbow photo has 7 hearts which is how many angels we have and Karen came up with the idea of adding an extra heart to make it mean more. Which made me start to tear up, our last miracle rainbow baby showed the love to not only his big sisters but to his siblings in heaven. Karen is also super sweet and we had so much to talk about during our session. My eldest daughter who is on the spectrum. I ended up learning a few things from her to help our journey in her school. You feel like she is a friend the whole time, which is something I love in a photographer is a friendly connection. She loves what she does and she's really good with kids of all ages. You won't regret choosing Karen to take photos of your family. It will be the best decision in preserving memories for generations to see.

She was wonderful during our session with the adults and especially the kids. She was able to make everyone feel comfortable and did a great job capturing (and coaxing ) real smiles from our grandchildren! Our pictures turned out beautifully! Would highly recommend to anyone looking for a wonderful and professional photographer!

When the last spot was taken, she messaged me directly to let me know she opened up more times. We met her at a little park where she was set up and ready to go as she had back-to-back mini-sessions. Despite it being a mini session (just 15 minutes I think?); we never felt rushed. I'm not sure how she accomplished that! She must be a wizard! During the shoot, I felt confident she got some great shots. She had a blanket set up on the grass for our 6-month-old upon arrival. 6-month-olds are tricky since our baby couldn't sit on her own, and she also refused to lay on her back. Alecia was clever with her poses and had my baby girl and our 5-year-old son lay on their tummies. We moved to several locations in the park including a cute wooden footbridge. We got a very cute shot with her laying her head on his shoulder! Alecia was so sweet and had great energy during the shoot! We really enjoyed her personality and vibe! We felt so comfortable which is so important when you're doing a photoshoot. Although we didn't do a full family shoot, we just did our two children, she really made us feel at ease! I wouldn't hesitate to book with her again! We loved the photos and I'm grateful we were able to catch our kiddos at this moment in time: my son's 5th birthday and our daughter at 6 months. Children grow so quickly and I truly treasure having these photos. If you're looking for a sweet photographer who can get your kiddos so smile, make you feel at ease, and capture bright, cheerful photos, look no further -- Gingerly Snapped checks all the boxes!

Not only are the photos amazing, but she was affordable, AND made me feel beautiful and relaxed during the photo shoot. She was fantastic with my 2.5 year old and I swear she's a baby whisperer. I'm excited to have her do future photo shoots as our girls grow.

We rescheduled for weeks to get the perfect day, and that is a testament to how accommodating and considerate she is to make sure we loved our photos. And we sure did - she used a mix of film and digital and I was blown away at her attention to detail and her eye for creating the perfect shot. We are not the most photogenic and she made the process so easy, giving us poses/prompts and cracking jokes along the way. Truly a joy to work with and would do so again in a heartbeat!

I was so excited to gift this album to my wife on our wedding day. I had to keep asking Cari how to purchase the photos, and eventually, after 2 months (and right before my wedding) she responded saying that my e-mail was entered incorrectly in her system, so I must have been missing the e-mails she was sending. She apologized and sent me 3 templates for possible albums. I was so excited, e-mailed her back telling her what album I wanted, and then radio silence. I have not heard from her since. She has completely ghosted me, and it has now been 8 months since I did the photoshoot with her. The opportunity to gift this to my wife on our wedding day has since past, and I spent $400 to get my hair, makeup, and photos done, all to not even be able to have the finished product. I was so excited to purchase an album, and I was not given that opportunity. I have reached out to Cari multiple times, calling, texting, e-mailing, over the course of the last 6 months since I last heard from her. I did not want to write her a poor review and I have given her plenty of time to reach out to me. I am confused, upset, and anxious about the entire situation. I did something so vulnerable (boudoir) with her, only to feel like I have somehow been taken advantage of with my money, signing a contract, and my time. It seems strange, as her other reviews are all 5 stars and glowing. It feels like she took my money and ran. I'm not sure what happened, but felt the need to share my experience so that it may be avoided in the future.

The only reason 2 stars were given was because there's no denying Emmy's talent as a photographer…read more However, her lack of communication and integrity made my experience with her extremely frustrating. Because of this, I would not recommend her unless you take my experience and adjust the contract she makes you sign. jealous of those who have had a great experience, but for first time clients, If you don't want to read the whole review, I at least urge you to push for the change in contract terms where you don't pay a final % of the package until you receive the final gallery. Without this, Emmy has no incentive to return them to you on time. If she doesn't agree to this reasonable change in payment terms, you should probably ask yourself why that is... I reached out to schedule my sessions with Emmy when I was only 8 weeks pregnant since I had come across her IG page and loved her work so early on. Signing the contract and paying the deposit was no problem. The problems came later on, which is why I advise changing the wording of the contract to protect yourself as well. Issue #1: I was booked for a late January session, because of personal reasons I had to reschedule. Per our contract, I knew it was going to be a $50 rescheduling fee. However, I did not expect for Emmy to break the terms of the contract we had both signed "because of the amount of people that had been doing so". These are her words, not mine, screenshot of the email exchange. Why is it my responsibility to pay extra for what her other clients are doing to her? I left this conversation feeling frustrated since she had no issue breaking the terms of the contract on her end over $25, so I made the decision to cancel the newborn session and requested to move the $150 deposit I had paid over to the remaining amount left of the maternity session. At this point, Emmy called me and made it a huge point that we had signed a contract where it states that the deposit was non-refundable. I asked her then why it couldn't be amended if she had no problem breaking the contract on her end to charge me an additional $25 to reschedule. She decided that the $50 would be respected, but that I still would not receive my $150 deposit back. Issue #2: I booked the session with the makeup artist she frequently uses and I was comfortable with her work since I could see it on IG and it matched my style. The week of my maternity shoot she makes a post searching for a new MUA. I don't know if it's just me, but I personally did not want to be the one who gets experimented on with a new MUA since I had not seen her work. I reached out to Emmy to let her know that I was fine with removing the makeup portion of the package. Again, she made it a big deal about not being able to change the terms of the contract (which makes absolutely no sense if she is the one who wrote the contract...) and instead wanted me to downgrade my package. My package was $900, the package she wanted me to downgrade to was $700. This $200 difference meant the loss of the makeup, 2 dress options and 2 backdrops. Which makes no sense when at the time of booking, the makeup add-on had been a $150 add-on fee. She again, she was only interested in changing the contract terms when it meant that she would make more money. Email exchange on this is also attached. Issue #3: We went ahead and took the photos as scheduled. Per the contract, she was supposed to send me the final gallery no later than 6 weeks after the shoot date. Well, 6 weeks went by and there was no word from her at all. I finally reached out and heard no communication back from her except for the finished gallery a few days later. She charged an additional $200 for the changes I made to the contract, but there is no repercussion for her not upholding her end of the contract? How is it not taking advantage of your clients when you sign a contract and expected them to uphold the terms out of respect for your time, but you have zero lack of respect for our time and money and will gladly break the terms on your end when it is convenient to you?
