Needed help and Perry's came through !! I do most of my own maintenance and repairs but while trying to do a brake job, had two lug nuts which were frozen on....nothing would loosen them. Put the rear wheels back on and drove over after giving them a call. We were greeted by the lady in charge at the counter and they worked us in to the tire jobs already in progress. It took about 45-60 minutes start to finish. They had to burn them off with a torch and get replacement lug bolts from their parts supplier nearby. Nice folks, reasonable price for the service. Will definitely keep them in mind for tires and other things. read more

I took my wife's Honda Accord here to get a brake job on her rear wheels. I took a seat in an outside chair so I could observe their work! Too many times in the past dealing with an assortment both inside and outside side businesses, I would what you could say in a nice way: Been Done In! So I took pictures and a video or two of what I saw! What I did see was a professional team that had the right answers and worked their tails off! Everything they did was explained to me so I could understand it! These folks have been in business for long time! I'm not sure why I hadn't taken a car here before! The brake job was perfectly done and completed when they said it would be! The only problem I had was my wife had called them and got a quote of 140.00. The final price was 190.00 plus! I'm not sure what the issue was but I suppose it was the higher priced ceramic bakes. Still what I paid was well worth the money and I'm happy! I really liked the signage in the office area. Super great place! Family owned. We were recommended there by the AAA tech that helped us with our tire issue and stripped bolts. We're from Charlotte headed down to Atlanta so we were very unfamiliar with the area. Very nice women working at the front and came right out to help us. Nice to find a place that still works THE OLE FASHION WAY. Ms. Alicia was professional , knowledgeable , very nice to deal with, from start to finish . She had my tires in the next day by 9am , called to let me know . When I arrived my 2500hd was done in less than 1 hr. 4 new tires mounted , balanced,& a free rotation every 6k miles for the lifetime of tire. Came here looking to get a tube put in my husband's lawnmower tire, so that it would last another year. LOL I also had another small tire in the back of my truck when I came to Perry's tire the lady walked out with me looked at the tire. I was explaining to her, and on her own suggested that they may have the other tire that I need, she looked it up, gave me a complete price for the tire and putting it back on the rim. needless to say, outstanding customer service!!! I was on a road trip 6 hours away from my hometown when my tire pressure light came on. A gas station attendant helped me determine that 3 out of my 4 tires had extremely low pressure. I was on my way home at 7AM when this occurred so as you can imagine this was very distressing. Perry's was about 3 miles from the gas station and I pulled in as soon as they opened. The woman who greeted me had such a warm demeanor and helped to ease my anxieties and assured me they'd fix my tire problems. I waited outside for about 30 minutes and they determined the issue wasn't my tires at all but the tire pressure caps. They replaced all of them quickly and the cost was veryyyy cheap. I was happy to not have to have replace my tires but I also appreciated their southern hospitality and time management! read more

I had a LT 235/80R17 truck tire go bad on me Sunday on I-85 South where the interstate is all broke up. So I pulled off in Gaffney SC and called my Chevron Travel Club to send help, it took 4 hours and 15 minutes for Chevron Travel club to get someone out to change the tire because of my back operation. It took him 7 minutes once he got there. Jack Rabbit was the first company that was to come out, never showed. While we were waiting we call everyone open Walmart and they did not have that size. So we spent the night in Gaffney because I was in no mood to drive I-85 after that. I made a list that night on Tire shops to call first thing Monday morning. Perry's tire service opens at 8AM so I was able to get one of the others first but they did not stock my size, they said call Perry's tire and gave me Perry's number. I wish I had wrote down their name also because he was helpfull also. At 8:02AM I called Perry's tires and a lady answered my call, I told her what size I needed and she checked, gave me the out the door price and how to get to her Tire shop fom the hotel. By the time I got there I had decide to buy 2 front tires and they had them off changed out, ballanced and I was back on the road in 30 minutes. They were the old style mom and pop tire store like I grew up around in the 1960's. Good service, fast service and a well stocked invertory on hand. When I got home I checked with Sam's and Walmart for the same brand and size only to find out that their out the door price mounted, balanced and installed was cheaper than the two above before mounting,balancing. Not planning on going back to Gaffney SC, I-85 is so broke up, was told that a lady and her girl was killed at that exit the week before. Don't know who came up with the plans to redo I-85 that way, if he still has his job, I don't know why. I was told that it was not uncommon for I-85 to be shut down for 5 hours between Gaffney and Spartanburg when there was a wreck on it, if going South drop down to HWY 29 and not get back on until Spartanburg. Outstanding service. Fair Prices. I was driving my ancient 97 Ford Aerostar XLT on a business trip to Greensboro with a very tight timeline to meet a client when I realized I had a problem with my tires. Tracked down Perry's Tires on a recommendation from a competitor that didnt't have my tires. Called ahead and Perry's had my tires ready when I drove in. Turned out I also had a locked caliper just due to age: Ms perry the Owner, called for the part, got it delivered, and her really sharp experienced and friendly staff got my back on the road for a very critical meeting in less than an hour. First a few general observations: 1. The 'parking lot' (if you can call it that) is extremely small, maybe two cars. No lines or directions on where to park are provided. 2. The large/ stinking trash can located outside the main entrance doesn't put the best face forward from the customer perspective. 3. The office is filthy. It's not welcoming, looks cluttered and unprofessional. I understand this is a tire business, but the office and 'waiting area' (if you can call it that) shouldn't look like a grease pit. 4. Customer service is poor. Customers are not greeted when they walk in the door. I walked in and approached the counter and a girl with very heavy makeup, who saw me enter, walked away without saying a word. Left me standing there for a few minutes before finally returning to ask what I needed. Needless to say, I felt very welcome in their business. My experience: I called for a quote ($74 per tire) and dropped my car off that evening before closing. I did this so it would be first in the shop the next morning. When I left my car it was immediately placed inside the shop before they closed the doors. The next day I arrive at 12:00 to pick up the car, thinking that half a day to change my tires would be plenty for a business that lives and breaths tires. When I arrived, it wasn't finished. It was still on the rack where they placed it he night before. I was informed that they didn't have the correct tire and had to order them from their warehouse. The correct tires should be arriving shortly. My wife and I went to have lunch and came back around 1:30. Still not finished. We left again and came back at 2:45, the car was finally finished and sitting the the parking lot. I went inside to pay and pick up the keys. The original girl who helped me (I'm guessing the daughter) immediately grabbed her keys and pocketbook and left. At the time I thought it was strange to leave for lunch at 2:45. The other lady (I'm guessing the mother) came over to process my purchase and I was informed that the 'correct' tires were $94 per tire and my new bill was over $120 hire than the original quote. Now it made sense why the girl with the clown makeup left in a rush. She thought I would be upset that I was being screwed and she didn't want to be held responsible for quoting me the wrong price. The responsible thing would have been to inform me of the mixup when I arrived at 12:00, BEFORE the tires were installed! At that point it wouldn't have been a big deal. Now that the tires were installed I was stuck.I could have purchased the same tires cheaper at another dealer. No offer was made to compromise on the cost. Great job thinking of the customer! The only reason I chose Perry's was the original quoted price. Needless to say, I will not be back. read more

Took my car in immediately, and it was done before I got back from my walk around town. I always prefer to patronize a local business over purchasing online. Service is ok. I always feel when I come here that they're doing you a favor by working on your car. Have had issues in the past with an alignment and it not being correct (our steering wheel was completely crooked and it was not that way prior to bringing it in) They refused to alter it and said it was that way before. We had to take it somewhere else to adjust the issue. They are more reliable as far as hours and being always open when they say they'll be, having longer operating hours and carrying specific and even better tires in stock than other places in town since the other places are smaller. As is the case with many places in Gaffney, customer service is definitely lacking. Or at least it always has been when I went. read more

I have purchased 14 truck tires, 2 alignments here but sadly wont return. Was given quote for 6 tires and returned for them in less than 30 days. Called when discovered discrepancy and was told there was a price increase. Checked with other dealers, they stated no recent price increase for same 6 tires. Still waiting on $50 rebate, wish them all the best but won't return. read more
