Great care of our newest family members. They did well with our very skittish pets. Pricing is very fair and affordable. Highly recommended!

Love this office. She has cared for our two dogs for years and is always kind and thorough.read more

I have text messaged from the Vet Tech showing her response to my accusations of cursory and…read morenegligent care. When I called her out for missing very life threatening issues going on with my dog, Elizabeth gave me the following excuses from the moment she found out my dog had passed at the Pet Emergency Center later that night: 1.) "It must have been an aneurysm, no one could of prevented that". I spoke with 2 other Vet Techs who said those are highly rare in dogs. 2.) She claimed she didn't do more for Gemma at our appt because she was told "the owner has financial restraints". 3.) She then later lied and tried to say I only made an appt to have a Parvo test. This is not true, Parvo was never mentioned in my call as I didn't even know what it was. Upon further research, that is common in puppies that are around other puppies. Gemma was 2 and not around other puppies and Summit is the one that vaccinated her against Parvo! Summit's phone system says all calls are recorded, when I emailed Elizabeth and told her to listen to that recorded call again WITH THE DR. and have the Dr. get back to me, there was no response from her or the Dr. 4.) When I contacted Elizabeth at Summit and told her Summit should pay for my emergency visit because they're carelessness and negligence caused this emergency issue that night, she refused and stated she was sorry for my loss and stated that I "just needed someone to blame". If NO STARS was an option, that would be my selection!

Heartland Pets - Crowded aisles of merchandise

I remember setting foot in Heartland Pets in 2022 and thinking to myself "What a horrible place." I…read morewas in the mall around feeding time, and the chorus of barking dogs filled the mall food court. I walked into the store and saw the sweaty, ashen looks on the faces of the kennel staff, who looked so miserable that I had to laugh to diffuse my tension. I spoke with a lady, who aggressively pushed her dogs and guinea pigs onto me to make a sale. I just bought a small something for my (since rehomed) guinea pigs and escaped. I remember feeling like Dante after I exited, like I had been through hell. No human or animal deserves to be in a place like this. The fact that a puppy mill pipeline is allowed to operate in a mall is outrageous. In New York, we ban stores like this because of their inhumane animal treatment. This store deserves to cease operations. At least get the animals out of there and return some peace to the mall. Sadly, demand for these kind of places may necessitate a statewide law in PA to make it happened. Commoditization of animal lives is immoral, cruel, and inhumane.

Many pure breeds are available, and customers may even specially order breeds if they are not currently in the store. I do not know how much the puppies cost, but I could imagine the approximate prices. Financing is available through a few lenders. I walked into this store when I was shopping in the mall. The puppies were kept in displays that have grates on the bottom and blankets. Other animals such as rats were also available for sale. Several aisles of shelves were stocked with merchandise, and the aisles were crowded with boxes on the floors. I own a dog, but I did not find anything to buy for her. I felt disappointed that I did not see many products for cats.
