They hand you a random piece of paper charging $500 for a 20 minute appointment without any sort of itemization. Number two, the standard of care here was very disappointing. I was referred here due to a previous procedure that failed and I had a difficult time getting a straight and consistent recommendation on treatment options. It become very clear to me the surgeon Proothi was more concerned with not making his buddies in the field look bad rather than providing me the clarity I deserved as a paying patient. If you do, keep your original quote and your receipts in case they try to bait and switch you too. Thankfully, we have all of our paper work. So, I decided to look around and found Dr. Park at Leading Edge. Pulling up to Selden... I was extremely hesitant. The office is in a bit of a run down medical strip mall. The parking lot is big and there are a few flowers and bushes by the office but overall it is somewhat ah old...maybe from the 1970s? Once inside Leading Edge, well things were the same. The AC was blasting away. I immediately wished i was wearing a sweater.A few people were waiting in old chairs. Everyone was staring at their phone. There was a large TV screen on one wall showing some game show. The receptionists sat in a small off shoot of the office. They were very attentive, fast, and professional! Though still hesitant, I was somewhat at ease. After a wait of a few minutes I was led by a dental assistant into the "operating area". The room they put me in was sparse but professional. Super clean. Computers and brand new modern dental equipment. Unfortunately there was a large TV in the room showing a kind of MTV kind of show. The history of rock and roll. Oh, how I hate the music from the 1950s! HATE. Anyway --- Dr. Park came into the room. He was young, smart, and professional. He looked at my x-rays and examined my teeth. He agreed that the tooth ( left upper molar that had root canal a long time ago ) needed to be pulled. He explained everything to me. The whole process of extraction and implantation. The dental assistant sent me off to billing. I received an itemized proposal which was 50% of the Manhattan guy. Fifty - percent! An appointment was made for the extraction and to make a long story short --- everything went very smoothly. Two weeks later I returned to have the extraction. They even called me the next day to check up on my condition. And now for the implant! I am almost looking forward to it...Almost.

I went back a couple of weeks later complaining of jaw pain and swelling, I was told he has a consent ins policy and even if his lawyers wanted to settle he'd have to give the ok. Horrific man with no conscience! I'm left with out the ability to eat on the left side of my mouth and constant pain in my jaw and headaches.

I should've heeded Sherry's warning in her review. I had a gut feeling I shouldn't have come here…read moreafter reading her review but this man (if you can call him that) was recommended to me by a new dentist that I started seeing and I trusted her. I have NEVER experienced such arrogance and unprofessionalism from a medical "professional" in my life! On March 16th I started a root canal with this man going against my better gut judgement. I was happy and grateful that they were able to get me in right away as I was in tremendous pain (but now I understand why the office wasn't very busy). I am very sensitive on my teeth and the first bad sign was that he came across as very unconcerned or irritated by that. I had the 1st part of what he told me was a 2 part root canal. The receptionist Cindy was very nice and scheduled me for the 2nd part for the following week. Then the Covid19 closures started. Understandably they closed their office and rescheduled me. I'm in the medical field myself so I get it. However, week after week I kept getting rescheduled and told that they're seeing emergencies/important appointments only. I'm sorry, but to me and most people, being in the middle of a root canal and finishing it up IS quite important. I let it go but then I started having a horrible taste coming from the tooth worked on. I called Cindy the receptionist, she spoke with the doctor and he called in a rx for me for an antibiotic. Well today's April 11th almost a month later and not only have I completed the antibiotic a couple of days ago, but now the last week the tooth that was worked on hurt SO bad. I went to brush my teeth today and I saw stars! So I left a message on the office voicemail and with Cindy on her personal line, explaining what was going on and that I needed the Dr to complete this procedure this week because I can't take the pain anymore and that if they are unwilling or unable to, to please let me know and that I will find someone else. I was very nice on all my messages as I didn't want to tick off the person that I was asking to do work in my mouth. I didn't get a call back so I called the Dr himself as his number is stated on the office machine. Well, 1st he answered the phone like I was bothering him. Again, I don't understand this guy's attitude as I've always been super nice in ALL of my conversations and correspondence with him and his staff. Then, after explaining what was going on he stated that he would open the tooth back up and then leave it open but that he WOULD NOT complete the procedure! I said "What? Why? I don't understand".... He said "If you're in pain the only thing I will do is open it up and that's it. Don't start with me Diane I'm not going to talk to you about this". I tried asking some questions like, wouldn't leaving it open like that be bad and allow things to get in there etc, but he was so nasty and arrogant and kept saying the same thing and then told me I could go see someone else. I said "Ok fine. Then who do I speak with about you reimbursing my insurance company because you got paid almost $800 for a procedure that you're refusing to complete and will NOT be completing at this point even if you change your mind". He said to take it up with my insurance company. Completely unbothered that he was losing a patient and that his patient was being left uncompleted and in pain. I honestly don't understand how this guy is even still in business. I will myself be filing all types of formal complaints with the ADA, BBB, Consumer Affairs etc, but anyone else even thinking about coming to this office BEWARE and just find someone else. Needless to say I've called another office that'll gladly finish the procedure as they've stated that this IS important and should NOT have been left like this. Dentistry at it's WORST. I would give ZERO stars if I could.
