My beautiful Lily that went to the rainbow bridge
    Donna C.

We needed to have our Chihuahua looked at ASAP on a Monday morning. Perris animal Hospital was willing to see her. We were greeted and taken directly to the room. The veterinarian came in and did a thorough check up of our girl. After a few tests, Dr. Nathan had a plan. After their care and trying, it was established that Lily couldn't be saved. They gave us all the time we needed to say goodbye. We will be forever grateful for the love they gave our lily. Best veterinarian office veterinarian we've ever had to deal with. Prices are very reasonable and competitive but the care and concern they give is even better.

I am heart broken writing this review . My 16 yr old chiwawa Jack Russell mixed on brought here, I had to say good bye to him. The sad part is I didn't stay with him to the last minute. I have to thank the veterinarian on 3/31/25 at about 10:38 he told it would be ok. I did the right thing. It tired me up and he turned the light off and took my Charlie with him. He was very kind and he said it's ok cuz we give them treats even chocolate if they want to have them. And he's joining others like going on a tour to Heaven. God was meeting them at the gate. It was a raining morning, sprinkling, it was a day I will never forget. Today is 5/21/25 and I still can't talk about this with friends or family.

    Farewell my goofy boy

I accompanied my aunt to the visit for her elderly sick dog. The condition was ambiguous and tests…read morewere required for diagnosis. The vets were measured in the tests they ordered, knowing that my 89-year-old aunt was on a fixed income. They had a plan, x-ray 1st, which told us a bit more, then bloodwork. The shining star of this clinic is Eileen, 16 year veteran vet tech. before sending out the blood sample ($300) she did a quick blood sugar test and analyzed the blood viaually. She came to the waiting room to let us know that the dogs blood sugar was so high their machine could not register it. She indicated that we could take the dog home, but survival was unlikely, without serious medical intervention, in the hospital ($3,000). After that, we could address the kidney and liver issues. We did not ask for a urine analysis. She did it because her years of experience told her that it would be a wise move. At that point, we discussed the reality of euthanasia. Why does this matter? Because any other vet would have sent out the blood work, then we would have gone back the next day to discuss it. They did not charge us for the blood draw or urine analysis, which enabled my aunt to pay for private cremation. They stayed an hour past closing to complete the procedure. This clinic is NOT greedy. Instead, they are truly caregivers. Thank you Eileen. You are worth your weight in GOLD.

NEVER GO HERE. Absolute cash grab. They do not care about your pet!!!!!!…read moreThey gave us * False hope * Thousands in charges (2k) * A dying dog left suffering * A rushed search for another hospital * And still lost a beloved family member We came in about two weeks ago because our dog appeared to have food poisoning. The staff recommended a long list of treatments, and because this dog was family to us, we agreed to everything they suggested if it meant he had a chance to recover. Before approving nearly $2,000 worth of treatment, I repeatedly asked the veterinarian (a Hispanic male vet) what the chances were that our dog would survive with these treatments. Instead of being honest or transparent, he avoided the question every single time and refused to give any realistic expectations. They told us to come back at closing because our dog "needed extra treatment hours." We came back at 5 PM exactly as instructed. Then they pushed it again and told us to return at 7 PM because the "extra hours would really help." Naturally, we believed them. We thought our dog was improving. He wasn't. When we returned at 7 PM, the vet casually informed us that none of the treatments had worked and that we now needed to rush our dying dog to an emergency hospital to be euthanized because THEY were closing. So after wasting our entire day, draining us emotionally and financially, they suddenly decided there was nothing more they could do -- yet somehow couldn't tell us that earlier? They couldn't even provide humane end-of-life care for a suffering animal in their own clinic. To make matters worse, while my family was devastated and trying to process losing our dog, they still slipped random charges onto the bill, including a flea and tick collar that had absolutely nothing to do with the reason we came in. This place is disgusting. Completely unprofessional, dishonest, and emotionally manipulative. I would never trust them with another animal, and I genuinely hope nobody else has to experience what we went through.

It is not "personal character assassination" to reference the public tone and wording that YOU, as the business owner, chose to post publicly under multiple client concerns. Clients are allowed to discuss their experiences and reactions to public interactions from management, especially when those responses come across as hostile, combative, or dismissive. I already acknowledged the written policy in my original review. My concern was the conflicting verbal information provided when I proactively called in an attempt to responsibly reschedule the appointment, as well as the professionalism displayed afterward. Feedback and criticism are part of accountability within any business, especially within healthcare and veterinary settings. Responding defensively to criticism instead of professionally only further reinforces the concerns being raised. I did not simply "miss" an appointment or fail to communicate. I proactively called ahead because I was unable to make the scheduled appointment time and was attempting to responsibly reschedule the appointment. During that conversation, I specifically asked what the fee would be and was verbally told it would be $20. (Please train YOUR staff accordingly if this does not reflect YOUR current policy.) Instead, I was later charged the full $78.97 deposit. What concerned me most was not even the money itself, but the way the situation was handled afterward. The communication from staff felt inconsistent, dismissive, and unnecessarily hostile despite my attempt to communicate responsibly ahead of time. After this experience, I began reading through owner responses to other client concerns online and was honestly shocked by the aggressive tone and public hostility displayed by management. Businesses absolutely have the right to respond to reviews, but professionalism, compassion, and respectful communication should still be maintained, especially in a veterinary setting where clients are already stressed and emotional. The "Dr." ego is very real here. Instead of accountability or professionalism, many of the public responses from ownership come across as combative, defensive, and focused on publicly arguing with clients rather than resolving concerns respectfully. The overall experience left me extremely uncomfortable and lacking confidence in the professionalism of the practice. I would strongly encourage anyone considering this clinic to carefully read both the reviews and the owner responses before making a decision. Feedback is what keeps checks and balances within an organization. Public criticism should not be met with hostility, defensiveness, or condescension from ownership. It should be handled with professionalism, accountability, and respect.

Headline: Life-Threatening Negligence and Fraudulent Charting - Do Not Trust This Clinic…read moreI am writing this as a medical professional who had to perform my own clinical audit to save my dog from this office's incompetence. My dog, Twinkie, was failed by Dr. Mean and her staff on multiple levels: 1. Fraudulent Documentation & Lack of Physical Exam: The records claim Dr. Mean performed a heart exam on Twinkie. This is a blatant lie; she never even touched my dog. Furthermore, a covering vet performed a suture removal but failed to document any of the clinical concerns we raised. Vitals that were taken by a tech on an intake form were never entered into the formal medical record. 2. Misdiagnosis & Dangerous Over-Medication: Despite Twinkie showing clear signs of anaphylaxis right in front of the staff, they "shrugged it off" and insisted she was having syncope (fainting) due to heart failure. Without proper diagnostics, they jumped straight to a heavy cocktail of Enalapril and Vetmedin and Furosemide. 3. Intentional Withholding of Records: I believe this office intentionally stalled sending my records to the cardiologist. Once they realized a specialist would be reviewing their "work," they likely realized they had jumped the gun. Because they failed to provide the records, I had to act as my own investigator. 4. The Proof is in the Recovery: After connecting the dots myself, I realized the Enalapril was dropping her blood pressure below baseline and the Furosemide was dangerously dehydrating her. I made the clinical decision to stop the medications. Within 24 hours of being off their "treatment," Twinkie was back to her old self--active and barking. A subsequent exam by a different, competent veterinarian confirmed she is healthy, her heart is fine, and she never needed the medication. Final Word: If I hadn't used my own medical background to challenge their narrative, their "treatment" for a non-existent heart condition would have killed my dog. Their clinical notes are vague, their charting is dishonest, and their diagnostic skills are non-existent. Go elsewhere.

We had just rescued our newest family member, Daisy, only nine days earlier, and it was incredibly important to us that she be seen by people who truly cared about her well-being. The entire team immediately made us feel that Daisy was in the right hands. Daisy needed to be spayed and also had a small wound on her left flank that we were concerned about. When Dr. Laura examined her, she discovered the wound was far more serious than we had realized. Instead of rushing through the appointment, she took the time to thoroughly explain what was going on and developed a thoughtful treatment plan that included antibiotics and ointment to get the infection under control before moving forward. We want to give a special thank you to Joshua, Chantel, Amber, and Tiffany for their incredible time and patience. They explained every procedure and all of Daisy's after-care needs in a crystal-clear way, making sure we fully understood what to expect and how to care for her at home. Their kindness and willingness to answer all of our questions meant more to us than words can express. What stood out the most was the genuine compassion everyone showed--not just toward Daisy, but toward us as worried new pet parents. We never felt rushed or dismissed. It's obvious that this team truly loves what they do and cares deeply about the animals and families they serve. We are so grateful to Dr. Laura and the entire staff at Not Just 4 Paws for giving Daisy the care and attention she needed. Unfortunately, over the last couple of years, the quality of service has declined significantly, especially at the front desk. This past weekend, our dog experienced serious neurological issues, and to our shock, the office was completely closed on Saturday during what should have been normal business hours. We later learned it was due to staff illness. While we understand that situations come up, it's hard to accept that an entire veterinary office would be closed without any contingency plan in place for patients who may need urgent care. We have also been paying for two monthly "paw plans" for years, with the understanding that they would provide better pricing and quicker access to services. That has not been our experience at all. When we recently called to cancel these plans, especially in light of one of our dogs passing away just two days prior, we were met with a complete lack of empathy. Instead of compassion, we were told we could be sent to collections if we didn't continue paying. The way this situation was handled was incredibly disappointing. The front desk staff were dismissive and showed no sympathy during an already difficult time. After so many years of loyalty, this is not how clients should be treated. Sadly, we can no longer recommend this clinic.
