I just saw an ENT who told me doctors never use xray to see a broken nose because it usually misses it and does not show cartilage damage at all. I had severe upper lateral cartilage knocked out of its place!!! This could have been fixed in an office by an ent if it was within 10 days of the injury but because the dr here told me the xray didn't show anything it has now completely healed/hardened and cannot be manipulated, I now have to have surgery!

The reception staff the nurses extremely rude and unhelpful. My appointment was at 9 o'clock. Tell me why I didn't get seen till almost 11 but every person that came in after me was seen. I was prescribed a prescription that wouldn't get approved by my insurance after the general practitioner told me she would help me to get it approved. I had to call multiple times to get help or to even talk to her and I was never called back. I was never helped and I was unable to get anything done. I will never return to this place and if you're smart, you'll never start going here.

I called for my appointment an was shocked to hear that I would have to wait 6 months for an appointment but I chalked it up to her being a great doctor at Cedar Sinai and I put it on my calendar and waited. Turns out that after awhile I was thinking let me check my calendar to see when my appointment was and I had missed it! When I called I was nonchalantly informed that they do not call and confirm appointments. I WAS LIVID! I informed her that it would be nice to be informed that my appointment would not be confirmed so that I would make a point to set a reminder on my calendar and I wanted Dr. Barnett to know that she had lost a potential patient. I was then informed that the doctor did not call people that she has never seen. I am so infuriated at how I was treated before I even became a patient and I am really glad in retrospect that I didn't get in to see her and was treated with such disregard after the fact. Patients are obviously not important and I'm glad I didn't have anything serious that I was seeing her about. But I guess I won't know until I find another physician.

She is warm, personable, and not intimidating. She has a million patients (I think I'm not exaggerating). The complaints about having to wait six months for an appointment are sadly true unless you're deathly ill. I believe this says more about the current state of medical affairs and the business of being an HMO doctor than Dr. Barnett herself. However, I can always call the office and have Dr. Barnett call me back, e-mail her and get a response right away, or ask for a referral to a specialist. If you have blood work done you need to be responsible for calling the office for the results; I would not rely on them to call you. I believe that she's closed to new patients but if you have the opportunity to see her, you're getting a good doctor.

I tried to like this doctor but I just couldn't deal with it. I just needed a simple monitoring…read moreduring my pregnancy, someone to take my TSH level once a month and let me know if I needed to change my dosage. This was the process: - Wait in the waiting room for 20 minutes. - Wait in the exam room for 30 minutes. - Dr. Ginsburg comes in, very slowly looks through my chart and asks me how I'm doing. Very slowly checks my thyroid & neck area. Calls the nurse in to take my blood. Leaves after 4 minutes in the exam room. - Nurse takes blood. - I call back 1-2 weeks later since results take a long time. - Nurse can't give me results on the phone, he has to personally call me. - He calls back and says that he will give me results at next appointment. - OR he calls back and I miss the call but he won't leave the results in Voicemail - just for a simple TSH level. - He sent me for other testing at different locations because he heard a heart murmur. And I had an ultrasound done of my thyroid. For one of the results it took almost 3 months and multiple appointments for him to get the results back to me. I would ask him about it and he would say they weren't in yet or that he needed to check with a nurse. Finally I got fed up & asked a nurse and she simply printed them off the computer and added them to my file. Geez. Was that so hard? He just seems like he isn't all there anymore. He is very elderly. You can't really communicate with him. You ask him a question and he pauses for a VERY awkwardly long time before answering. Or he'll turn around and look at the chart for 2 minutes and you wonder if he even heard you. He does everything veryyy slowly. He never asked me much about my previous medical history or anything about my pregnancy, PCOS, etc. He never goes into detail about anything. Everything is "fine." He doesn't seem to remember my medical history or what he is talking about or what he had already gone over with me. I just switched to a new doctor at UCLA and she spent almost 30 minutes with me, talking to me the whole time, and the most Dr. Ginsburg ever spent with me was 5 (mostly silence filled) minutes. After waiting 1 hour for him to show up. He IS nice. And he WAS the first doctor to mention to me that I had a slight heart murmur. But it just was never a good experience. He's also VERY touchy feely. When he's telling you goodbye he'll grab your hands or put his hands on your shoulders for an awkwardly long amount of time. Maybe it's in a grandfatherly sort of way but I find it uncomfortable.

The only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 is that it takes forever to get an appointment with him, so whenever I have gone in for an urgent problem I've always seen younger doctors, though all of them have been good so far too. One tip though: make your appointment in the morning! Since he spends so much time with each patient, by the afternoon he gets backed up and you may not get seen until 30 or 40 minutes after your appointment time.

After 2 years of illness, I finally asked my pcp for a Lyme panel. It came back positive, and I was sure that I have something affecting my health. Especially because the symptoms I feel are 100% not normal for a 20 year young man to be feeling. I made copies of all the blood work I've done, including my Lyme panel. Now, I'm no dummy, I understand the Lyme test is fairly broad and tests for abnormal levels of antibodies; nothing specific to Lyme disease. However, this was enough suspicion for a medical professional to at least do some more comprehensive testing. Well... not in Dr. Fishbach's case! After showing him everything I had to show and telling him just how much my health has deteriorated, he suggested that I see a therapist. WTF! He gave me a bs suggestion of exercise more, see a therapist, and I may have chronic fatigue syndrome. He didn't take into consideration elevated antibody levels, low platelet counts, signs of liver toxicity, and so much more! He didn't even want to do anymore testing, I had to basically beg for something. All I left with was a pat on the back, and the good ole "I hope you feel better" saying. I told him specifically of suspicions of something I may have, and that I want to rule it out. As a doctor, he should as least have the decency to rule the chance of me having an infectious disease but that sure didn't happen. He doesn't listen nor really care for his patients, and if you want to actually be helped, I would suggest you go elsewhere.

You can choose which office is close to you. I've been to both locations. In her Los Angeles office she has many elderly Hispanic patients. In my opinion the only thing more annoying than the elderly is... um.. well nothing is more annoying than the elderly. Dr. Hwang doesn't feel this way, and its obvious. She is a real jewel. She takes so much interest in her patients that she returns calls personally. She also calls to follow up if your last visit left her with concerns. I've seen her speaking to her elderly patients with patience and empathy. She's also great with the young folks like myself. She gave me a few chances to get my blood pressure down by controlling my diet, excessive drinking, etc -- INSTEAD of just putting me on some pill like many other doctors tried to do. If you have Healthnet, definitely give Dr. Jenny Hwang a shot.
