Plenty of tourist info on the local area - loved the location - peaceful, surrounded by trees, shrubs and in harmony with nature and so good for places to go - fantastic sandy beach at Perranporth - also try Crantock beach - look at thatched cottages in the village - 2 miles Truro with interesting shops, cafes - a cream tea at Charlotte's Tea House in the centre of the city is WOW!!! and the cathedral is amazing - short drive to Newquay, Eden Project, St Ives, Falmouth just to name a few! really clean and good size pitches. they cater for caravans and tents. facilities are excellent and…read morevery clean. the manager who lives on site is very helpful he will do what he can for you. they do offers if staying for longer than a week. close to falmouth and truro city center. hospital close as well if needed. would recommend and room for children to play if needed but would probably say there is better campsites for children as there is not a pool or anything to my knowledge. If you have a dog they have several walks with maps to help you. warm and welcoming!

The caravan had everything you need for a relaxing break. and everything in the van was clean and tidy, James and Emma have taken over the running of the site, and were on hand if any problems. Outside you get a parking space and a picnic table and a large free area in front of the van. overall the site is beautiful, peaceful and very quiet, possible not the best place if you are looking for an all action site!. and the sound of the nature at night. 10/10 will be back again

We stayed at the Trenance Campsite for a week last Summer. It was our first trip to Cornwall and we…read morechose this site because of its proximity to Newquay - Only a 15 minute walk away. The Site is located close to a quiet residential area, there are frequent local buses into town if you dont fancy the walk, so you dont need to rely on the car all the time. The Site has a mixture of Self Catering Chalets, Static & touring caravans and Tent pitches. It is a well equipped site with everything you need on-site, Plenty of Toilet and Shower blocks scattered around and they also have a mini-market, bar, restaurant, take-away and a Games Room. The bar also had entertainment in the evenings which was popular with families. All of the facilities were spotlessly clean and of a high standard, you couldnt fault it. The Site is flat and grassy and has a little Duck pond at the end which was lovely to sit by on the sunny days and feed the resident ducks. Newquay itself, only 15 minutes away was an ideal place for a UK Holiday, plenty to do and beautiful, clean beaches. It's also an ideal base to tour Cornwall and the surrounding coastal areas. We pais about £7 per Adult per night which was excellent value considering the amenities on offer. We wouldnt hesitate to go back to Trenance again and have recommended it to all of our friends and family. I consider it as one of the best Camp Sites i've been too.

Shop with everyday essentials, including beer, wine and scrumpy :- Padstow is a mile walk along some fields.and then pavement. Quite a steep walk down so to get back you can get the bus from the old train station. The 555 stops at the entrance to the park. This bus goes all the way to Bodmin. At the end of the field is a Tescos. The toilet and shower blocks are spotless. Grounds are well maintained. Children's play area. Dog field.

Road noise was not too bad but was disturbed early morning by dogs barking which was annoying. Shop closes at 4 pm so get your stuff early. I was asked to move for the 2nd day but nobody turned up. Honestly the best camp site I've EVER been to. Ever…read more The main USP of this place is its privacy. Pitches are hidden away and branch off from bumpy walking paths and are surrounded by woodland. The pitches are so far apart from each other that you'll often forget you have neighbours. An awesome option which I tried for the first time here, as we were only staying for one night, are the pre-erected tents. It felt like a bit of a cop out but was an absolute godsend. When we arrived, we were shown to the load/unload point nearest to our spot. Depending on where you're located on the site, you then use their huge wheelbarrows to lug your gear to your spot which could be anywhere from a 1-6 minute walk-ish. Most, if not all of the pitches come with a handmade canopy area and some kind of hand crafted seating arrangement / bench area which can vary in quality dependant on what you've paid. The pre-erected tent that we paid for came with EVERYTHING. A washing up area with water butt, bowl, washing up liquid, tea towels; a kitchenette type arrangement with gas, cooker (2 hobs), kettle, and a big cupboard which contained all your kitchen utensils and cutlery etc. Oh, and a coolbox too! Although it was a bit knackered due to squirrels trying to break and enter... We also had a real charming dining area with a big table and benches which where made by the owner's son. SO impressed. Additionally as part of this package we got a fire pit/grill thing so we obviously had a BBQ for dinner and breakfast. Fuel is available to buy from the reception for a decent price. Everything here is GREEN - they really pride themselves on being environmentally friendly. They're big on recycling and enthusiastic about respecting your surroundings. Some of their rules can be a bit confusing, mainly if you've had a few beers before visiting the bathroom... There are two toilets in a cubicle. One for 1s and another for 2s! Also no flush, just a jug, and some sawdust. Totally fine though. On site there's a little cafe which is only open at certain times, I didn't get chance to visit but seemed lovely. There's a communal washing up point for the visitors who don't have their own, and a freezer for you to help yourself to ice packs for your cooler - they've really thought of everything to make your stay as easy as possible! The owners are great, too. Dead interesting characters and so friendly and helpful. And they own goats, dogs, and chickens! Think they might be my idols. Living the dream.

They have a very big area for touring vans and the pitches are fairly roomy. There are many old stone walls running round the site which are nice. The bar and entertainment room is big, the cafe and amusements are naff but we wouldn't spend much time there anyway. They have a large pirate ship for the kids to play on. The pool isn't particularly big so it must get overcrowded in the summer. Nearby is Watergate bay which is fantastic. When the tide is out it's an awesome beach. When it's in it's small and densely packed. On the car park behind is Jamie Olivers Fifteen which I've never been in. Watergate is nice for the beach but the development of the town is going to get out of hand and probably ruin this lovely spot. You can't really walkto the beach but I think they put on a shuttle bus - which is better anyway as the car park down there is extortionate. Great campsite though, you won't be disappointed.
