My assumption was that the tub would be the same color that it was, but it was glazed in white. White doesn't match the color scheme of my 1950s bathroom that I love. The scheduler said that TubTastic would make it right, but she will no longer communicate with me. At the time the glazer was wraping up, my husband paid the glazer in good faith that the color would be redone, but since July 26th when the work was done there has been no progress and no responses with any updates with making this right.

The team arrived wearing masks, which my wife and I appreciated. They wasted *no* time. They properly patched the subfloor, which was probably the pain in the ass part of the whole thing because they had to access it via a muddy crawlspace. The finished results look great. I can't even tell where the hole from the old heat duct was. Luckily, I had recently had all of the flooring done and the finish was an easy match- again- the work was impeccable and the crew had the job done in about 2 hours. This was…read morethe most ridiculously terrible home repair experience we've ever had in 25 years of home ownership in the Pointes. They were to have multiple workers to clean/repair master bathroom floor and enclosed shower and the Saltillo tile floor in kitchen - they had one worker arrive and they other called in sick - yet somehow miraculously arrived in good health after noon. The bathroom was "ok" but the worker missed cleaning the edge areas of the tile floor. The kitchen is were it gets ridiculous and dangerous. The estimate/contract explicitly states that they were to use "non-toxic cleaners" with steam cleaning in addition with machine washing as needed. These clowns, without consent or announcement, decided to use Muriatic (Hydrochloric) acid on our kitchen floor with my wife, our dog, our son and I all in the home closed up tight on a 30 deg day in December with a natural gas forced air furnace running the whole time. The fumes took our breath away after only a few seconds and also scorched our kitchen tile floor. Yet the lead worker was wearing a double canister face respirator. When I questioned him about the fumes, he only said through his respirator "you might want to not breathe this stuff in". They did not instruct us to open any doors prior or during the application of this Hydrochloric acid and had no regard for our safety, yet took very serious precautions for their own. They offered no apology and only maintained in a highly defensive attitude that it was part of their normal cleaning process, which according to the Sir Grout site and the contract/work order is 100% contrary to the truth. They stood in my kitchen with a mask on and lied to me about what I could plainly see with my own eyes. I have yet to receive a phone call from the area franchise owner that I was told I would by the lead worker. I would say this company is a joke if the consequences of their actions weren't so seriously dangerous. DO NOT USE this company for anything in your home.

They were sloppy toward the ends of two very long days, but overall the grout was good. Unfortunately, the material they us to clean the grout caused the finish on my bathtub to bubble up and peel away. They agreed to give me $200 toward a similar (low quality) treatment, but said that one of the men that worked on on my grout would do a higher quality finish for $500 (a value of $800 to $1200). He came and worked really hard, but the result was full of bubbles, and was peeling off in under two days. It took over a week to get a return date scheduled, and by then I realized I had realized I couldn't let them do more work on it. I hired another company to fix the tub, but the whole thing has taken over a month to resolve and was unnecessary from the beginning. The owner called me once to explain why it wasn't their fault, but that he would try to help me get my money back from his employee. He has not returned my follow-up call. The employee did, however, give the money back.

It looks like US Waterproofing (USW) is a big player in IL & IN.... I had a huge crack in my basement wall that leaked bad enough that sand started pooling at the base of the crack. I had 6 estimates from $750 - $32,000, which ranged from just filling the crack all the way to interior & exterior foundation drains. USW was a mid quote, but the most bang for your buck and they offered a military, teacher, or first responder discount. With USW I got the crack filled/repaired, an interior floor drain dug from the crack to my sump pump (complete with a 90 mil wall liner), and a new battery back up sump pump installed. Their quote was reasonable, but installation of a new sump pump was the kicker for me and why I went with USW. They got me on the books the next week and took about 5 hours to the complete the job. What they got right: 1. They wrote into my quote that all exposed carpet from the entry of the house to the job would be covered. And they did an excellent job of this. 2. The team that was sent over was professional, friendly and let me watch and ask questions throughout the whole process. 3. Although they put up plastic walls around the work area, they warn you the process can stir up lots of concrete dust that will get everywhere. 4. My salesperson kept an open communication with me via text throughout, and after, the whole process. What they got wrong: 1. The exhausting sales binder they are required to go through with you. It's a 4 inch binder! 2. Although the binder is HUGE, they don't represent the final product transparently enough. I was quoted an access port to clean out the drain, but it stuck up 2 inches out of the floor, and they location they chose for it would've messed up my laundry set up, so I had them remove it (they need a flush access port option!). Another example is they did not have a great picture of what the wall liner looks like, nor did they have a physical example on hand. The salespeople should carry an example of the wall liner with them. 3. The 'crew boss' shows up and just walks right into my house and down to the basement, without announcing or introducing himself. I did not appreciate this, whatsoever. #2 & 3 of what they got wrong is why I took off a star, all in all, I'm pleased with the final product and what I paid for it.

This was a complicated and labor intensive process that they completed and match beautifully. They then came back at the end of the remodel to sand and refinish the entire flooring area. He started on it not knowing for sure if the paint would strip off easily enough, but apparently no problem. He called to suggest a stain color (walnut), which I went with -- by this point I could tell that any recommendation he had would probably be ideal, but appreciated having the choice. He even put in a new bottom in the little drawer; *what* a nice touch -- along with proper felt-bottomed 'feet' on the table legs. I also saw some beautiful work in his shop, and would definitely hire him again.
