Long review! Read if considering Greg for: asylum cases, marriage based green cards, anything involving going to court, anything involving having an excellent immigration lawyer. Greg has been our immigration lawyer for a while now, and during this time we've gotten to see him in different situations: First, he helped me with an asylum claim that I then withdrew after we filed for a marriage-based green card. At some point while waiting for our interview I was wrongfully given a deportation hearing even though I was still in F1 student status, and Greg swept in to help me through that too. Here's what we have to say about him: - When preparing the asylum case he was tactful and thorough. As I weighed the option of withdrawing my petition in favor of a marriage-based green card after my wedding, he was straightforward with the pros- and cons and gave me good advice. - It was my husband who first saw the notice that I was being summoned to court for a deportation hearing, he was going through our mail after getting home from work (so it was after work hours). By the time my husband called me to let me know that was happening (maybe 8pm?), he had already been on the phone with Greg. That was a stressful and confusing night and it was incredibly comforting to know Greg had been available to speak to us by phone as the situation unfolded. He was calm when we were not and patient with our questions. He followed up with emails and basically did what you would hope any good lawyer would do: he took our scary frightening problem and made it his problem and dealt with it. - On the day of my hearing Greg was there before us, making sure my case was discussed first. He *rocked*. He was extremely professional and well-prepared and my case was successfully resolved in my favor in minutes. He brought with him that day a huge binder filled with paperwork that really brought home to me how much behind the scenes work had been put into making that brief hearing go as efficiently and successfully as it did. It was definitely a privilege to have him as a lawyer that day. - During the long, tedious wait for our green card interview (over a year for us!) Greg was patient with any questions I had and prompt to reply (even when my questions where basically impatient "how much longer"s). He also stays in touch via a newsletter, which we appreciated. - On the day of our green card interview, we asked Greg to come with us. He knew everybody there, from other lawyers to judges and they would say hi to him as they passed while we waited sitting with him for our turn. He was comfortable and appeared to be well regarded by everybody and it truly showed how committed he is to his job and how well he navigates the systems he works with. (We had our green card approved within a week of our interview). In sum, Greg is an honest, friendly, professional and dow-to-earth lawyer. My immigration journey was bumpy and difficult and I do attribute its successful resolution to Greg's thoroughness. read more

Going with Perl Law was the best decision I ever made - I was going through a separation and pending divorce during my conversion from a conditional green card to a 10-year green card. I'm very happy to report that my divorce was finalized and case was approved without any issues. From the very first phone call to my last email with him, Greg was incredibly responsive, dedicated, meticulous, and organized to the very last detail. He also took the time to listen to me/answer every question I had regarding my case, no matter how trivial. Greg really pays attention to each of his clients, no matter how big or small their case is. It was a pleasure to have him as my attorney for something so important as one's immigration status and right to remain in this country - I'd highly recommend Perl Law to anyone who needs a trustworthy, experienced and skilled attorney on their side. read more

I first consulted with Greg 3 years ago on a somewhat complicated immigration matter that I was dealing with. A few years later I consulted with him again regarding my green card application which though was being processed by family lawyer, needed a second opinion. Greg is very knowledgeable with immigration law, provides specific regulations to support his position, is very responsive to questions and timing, takes a conservative approach to interpreting law (a very good thing), and provides advice that has given us peace of mind in completing the remaining process of our visa application. I highly recommend him and would not hesitate to use his services again. read more
