First of all, the office is very nicely decorated, and the equipment is clean and modern. All of the hygienists are friendly and do a really great job. Coming to the dentist isn't exactly a fun time, but they make it as easy as possible and keep your mind off of what's going on. There are TVs to watch while you're getting your cleaning, which certainly helps to keep your mind off of the party going on in your mouth (lol). Hours are also flexible. I work full time, and it's easiest for me to come in the morning. They're always able to find an 8 AM appointment slot for me for my 6 month appointments, and when I've needed to reschedule due to work conflicts, they've been very accommodating. I absolutely recommend this place, and it's nice not to dread everything about going to the dentist!

They frequently send out reminders to make an appointment, but do not respond when you fill out the form with availability. The receptionist staff are rude, unprofessional, and not very good at their follow up responsibilities. If you don't have time to respond to emails, don't have an automated system that sends out emails for scheduling appointments. The hygienists and doctors are good. You just have to deal with the desk people to see them.

They appealed to me as they are in walking distance of my house. They did not have online booking available so I had to call to schedule. When I called I was told only the male receptionist could schedule, and the young female frequently had to put the phone down to ask the male receptionist questions (no problem, perhaps she is new.) The office is reasonably clean and located in an older building with a small parking lot, close to downtown North Wales. Prior to my first visit, I provided my insurance information. When I arrived I was provided an estimate for the services (exam & x-rays) on an iPad at the reception desk (though I don't know typical prices so I didn't know what to make of the quotes). I was taken back for initial x-rays (though I'd had some taken within the last year.) After x-rays I met with the dentist, Yuling Liang, DMD. She was friendly and spent a good amount of time reviewing my medical history with me, which I appreciated. She provided her opinion on my x-rays and a course of action to fix a retainer issue I'd been having. After meeting with her, I was surprised to be lead back out to the front to schedule another appointment. I was never told that this initial appointment would be only a consultation and that no services or cleaning would actually be performed. As I work during the week this was l frustrating and disappointing, namely because I didn't know beforehand. Had I known I'd have to come for 2 separate appointments, I likely would have picked another dentist as I do not have the availability to easily schedule 2 dentist appointments in 2 weeks. I also worried whether this would impact the billing on my insurance - i.e. whether it would count for 2 exams and if both would be covered. Nonetheless, I scheduled my actual care appointment for the following week, as I was in need of a repair to my retainer and it was time-sensitive. Upon my return I was told that my insurance had not gone thru and they needed my information again. I did not have it on hand and had to make phone calls to my employer to obtain the information needed. Had I been told of this issue beforehand, I could have resolved it prior to my appointment time. Instead, I cut into my scheduled appointment time to work out an insurance question. Once the insurance was resolved and I was called back, the hygienist who would be cleaning my teeth did not introduce herself and did not ask any initial questions about my brushing habits, or if any teeth were bothering me. I found this off-putting and quite atypical. At the end, I was sad to not receive the typical "goody bag" of a travel toothpaste, floss and toothbrush. I can't recall ever going to a dentist without getting some swag! At the end of the day, Abbella is conveniently located to me personally, but my experience was not what I was hoping for. I will not be returning.

Having said that, I can also say medically they are also top notch which is really one of the rmost important parts of choosing a dental office. You don't have to worry about that here. I have seen both Dr. Lim and Dr. G, and both are excellent doctors. The staff is also fabulous from the front desk (very friendly!) to the nurses that are so caring and gentle as much as the doctors are. Julie is my hygienist and she is very gentle and thorough. I have to go three times a year due to my teeth and letting my fears keep me from visiting a dentist for 10 years so I see her a lot! Trust me! You do not want to do that. They will consistently get your information mixed up with others. They are thorough and kind and cater to cowards, but I have never felt more deceived. I had been complaining of sensitivity for long periods of time, and was told there was general discoloration on my fillings. A cracked filling was evident, and I was told that it was just some discoloration again. I see another dentist soon after and I find out there is visible tooth decay in multiple places caught with the naked eye and on the x-ray. Cavities that were not correctly identified may have caused the need for a future root canal. Sensitivity laser treatment was recommended time and time again, which I even considered despite the cost. If I had stayed longer, I would be out hundreds of dollars with no relief and implants needed most likely.

The lady at the front was super friendly and the other staff were just the same. Smiles and very welcoming. When it came to sitting in the chair I was a bit more relaxed then I had been at the last dentist since the people spoke English and I was able to communicate better with them. The assistant took pictures of my teeth and directed me on what to do, to help her to ensure the photo is taken properly. Next the dentist came in, she did a quick look in my mouth and said oh no this needs to be taken out, talking about my tooth that chipped. She said we will do a cleaning and also pull the tooth out. To my surprise the cleaning wasn't painful. She didn't dig in my mouth to where I was sinking in pain or clawing the seats. She took her time and was gentle. When it came to the extraction. She put numbing gel in my mouth first then brought out the needle. I honestly was happy she just didn't stick the needle in, cause although there was still pain, without the numbing gel it would've been way worse. After that the assistant took my blood pressure which I've never seen any dentist do. My pressure was high, but probably cause I just had the needle and I pressure went through the roof. She gave me some time to sit and relax, and let the numbing stuff do it's job, and the assistant came back to take my pressure again. It went back to normal. It was time for the extraction to happen. I was nervous, and asked the dentist if the numbing stuff would still work and she said yes- guess I was paranoid. The extraction part was surprisingly not too painful either, just felt a little pulling and that's it. I was so happy that it was quick and somewhat painless. The dentist said you're all done, see you in 6 months. And I'm surprised to say, I will attend that appointment. I think I found my dentist!

It's not like I don't know how teeth cleaning is done lol I worked in a dental office and never ever I heard from our customers of bleeding or pain. I came home and looked at my gums. They were SWOLLEN, red, bleedy and I was in pain. Can't say anything about the front desk. Young lady is trying her best to provide a good service and she is doing well but this whole place is just.. going nowhere. Be prepared for a swarm of obnoxious kids who has zero clue about your personal space and 3 different languages being spoken around you. They scheduled appointments and I would show up and no one would be there. They would call me the night before and cancel my appointments, which is totally my job. When I finally did get there they tried to bully me into 30k of dental work that I knew I didn't need. Needles to say, screw them. I went to Venneri Dental, and it was the complete opposite. They are kind, everyone is smiling, which, well it is a dental office, so it was nice to see people smiling and they have been great with appointments. My first visit was a cleaning and it was the best i have ever had. My second visit was an "emergency" bonding of a cracked front tooth that Dr. Joe stayed late for to accommodate my schedule. I am currently in the process of getting veneers and Dr. Joe has been awesome. He told me exactly what I needed and did not pressure me into other procedures or charge me for things I didn't really need. I fully recommend Venneri Dental Group and I am confident that you will love it there as much as do.
