After reading the reviews for Perkins, i wonder if i went to the wrong restaurant. I took a group of friends for my Birthday, and its a good job i was not in my Birthday suite or i would be dead with hypothermia the entrance porch was warmer than the restaurant.
Infact one of my guests had to ask for the air conditioning in the ceiling to be turned of, why oh why were all the radiators all turned of. Obviously you do not want to be boiling hot when having a meal, but on the other hand you do not want to ask for your over coat back because you are so cold.
Two of my guests also complained that the toilets were colder than eskimo Nells nose, that may be so, you do not linger to long in the toilets and spend more money in the restaurant. The day in question lunchtime Thursday was cold frosty and quite foggy, so was not acceptable to be so cold.
The food was hot and tasty but the portions could have been larger, the service was quick and the staff pleasant, and the setting in nice weather would be very pleasant indeed. Would i eat at Perkins again ?
yes but i would keep my coat on.
