Great gym with thorough coaching. Workouts are posted in advance on the app and there's always a spectrum of movements to choose from.

We love the pool, obstacle course, and amenities (showers, etc). We arrive at opening and always find parking. Here's why I'm giving 3 stars and may not renew my pass for next year. The fun you have is dependent on who is on staff that day. I don't know what happened between this year and last, but this year is not great. Some lifeguards and people at the desk are so rude. On one hand, I'm sympathetic because I know these jobs can be seasonal and you have to train new people, deal with customers, safety, etc, etc. But they create so much confusion and then they're rude when you follow the rule someone else on staff gave you. Then you tell them another person told you to do that and they act like you pulled this info out of your own butt. Last time I was there, I was going back and forth from the pool to the desk because the lifeguard and desk staff couldn't agree on whether my kids needed wristbands. Like I said, if this is just confusion between newer staff, that's fine, I feel for you. But they were both SO rude about it and were getting annoyed with me ‍ This is just the recent example, but it's now probably half our visits that there's some weird triangulation between me and two staff members telling me different things. There are some people who work here that are awesome and friendly. When they do swim tests, they speak clearly to the kids and give instructions/expectations clearly. They're straightforward and friendly when we check in. I think he might be a manager (he wears the pit vipers and has facial hair), he's super friendly although I don't see him that much any more. Sorry I don't know their names, but always relieved when they're there (and coincidentally they all seem to be on the same page with the rules/expectations ).

Love the Chill Zone - just wish it was included in the membership instead of $20 a session (you do get one free session per month which is nice). The infrared sauna is a great warm down! I think for what you're paying they should have a swamp cooler or something that can help combat the summer heat. They will probably say "oh it's an open air gym and some of the rooms in the gym do have air-conditioning" but in the main rooms they do not have air-conditioning. They have fans so if you're down to sweat your butt off and be uncomfortable that's what you can expect. Other than that I recommend.

First time we came around 11am on a Tuesday and it was super packed. They have a whole parking garage next to the gym and we had to park on the roof. The next time we went around almost 8pm and it was a LOT better, way less crowded. ---- There are multiple sections of the gym and with 2 indoor sections and a large outside section. I like the outside for better air flow. I'm short at only 5 feet tall so some of the machines do not accommodate my height for the full range of motion, like the hip abduction machine. ---- Overall: it's a pretty great gym, huge facility, my issues are that it gets reallyyyy crowded, and that not all of the machines allow for a full rom if you're shorter

The owner Kat was also the instructor. She was very thorough in her instructions before getting started so everyone was clear on what to do at each station. The other ladies in the class were friendly and welcoming. This is a 3 story boutique gym with even the 1st floor indoor area open to the outside allowing you to enjoy the fresh air and breeze from the nearby ocean. There are amazing views of the sunset over the ocean from the 3rd floor. Here's the best part, I happened to be there on a night where they were having a wine tasting social on the 3rd floor from 5:30pm-8pm. Kat and her assistant put out a lovely spread, both generous and tasty. Members brought bottles of wine to share while socializing and making new friends. It was such an awesome way to bond with this little community, which is something Kat really prides herself on. It's not just a gym but like a second home, somewhere you enjoy going to not just rushing in to grab a workout and get out. Check this out if you're in the area, you'll be glad you did! I know I'll definitely rely be back.
