Both the vehicle owner and I reached out several times via text and in person for updates, but received no clear communication. Eventually, Matt, the owner, stopped responding to my messages altogether and gave the vehicle owner vague excuses about being a "one-man shop" and "too busy." When the vehicle owner went to retrieve the car, Matt handed him the keys--but still had not provided any professional diagnostic report or service. As the owner attempted to leave, Matt blocked his vehicle in and demanded payment for a diagnosis that was never completed. Shortly after, Matt contacted Campbell's Towing, who illegally towed the vehicle. Matt continued to demand payment and used the towing company to try to collect $150 for services never rendered. When I arrived, the situation had escalated. Prior to filing a tow hearing, Campbell's demanded $150 to get the vehicle. (Audio recording is available) After filing a case in tow court against both Hudson Autowerks and Campbell's Towing, Campbell's increased their fee to $345.18 to release the vehicle. Ultimately, we won the case and were awarded the full $345.18 and related costs against Hudson Autowerks. This experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, communication, and ethical business practices.

He would charge you for it. This happened on numerous occasions. This is because I trusted this shop. I have proof of this from other mechanics I used. Sometimes my vehicle would sit at his shop for days until I call him. He would tell me to pick it up the next. I would pay him and a few days later I was back at his shop for the same repair. This happened often because I thought he could be trusted. Now I know. I will never use Tri City Auto again. NEVER.
