I dropped off a vehicle at Hudson Autowerks for a diagnostic. After 3.5 weeks, the vehicle had not been inspected or diagnosed. Both the vehicle owner and I reached out several times via text and in person for updates, but received no clear communication. Eventually, Matt, the owner, stopped responding to my messages altogether and gave the vehicle owner vague excuses about being a "one-man shop" and "too busy." When the vehicle owner went to retrieve the car, Matt handed him the keys--but still had not provided any professional diagnostic report or service. As the owner attempted to leave, Matt blocked his vehicle in and demanded payment for a diagnosis that was never completed. Shortly after, Matt contacted Campbell's Towing, who illegally towed the vehicle. Matt continued to demand payment and used the towing company to try to collect $150 for services never rendered. When I arrived, the situation had escalated. Prior to filing a tow hearing, Campbell's demanded $150 to get the vehicle. (Audio recording is available) After filing a case in tow court against both Hudson Autowerks and Campbell's Towing, Campbell's increased their fee to $345.18 to release the vehicle. Ultimately, we won the case and were awarded the full $345.18 and related costs against Hudson Autowerks. This experience reflects a serious lack of professionalism, communication, and ethical business practices. read more

Just wanted to say when I take any of my cars here I always get it back Fixed and at a fair price, you know when your not being charged an arm and a leg. I had several mechanics at different shops take a look at this one car to try and explain to me what was wrong with it and they just couldn't quite figure out what it was exactly. That's when I took it Hudson's Autowerks and spoke with Matt. After spending a good 15 maybe 20 minutes with him discussing my situation I handed him my keys and in no time I received a call from him with a diagnosis the next day!!! He gave me a quote on the cost of the parts and and told me his labor fee and in a weeks time I had my Vehicle back. I just wanted highly recommend this shop. Thanks again Matt!!! read more

Matt was able to get OEM parts for my '99 ML 430 and did a great job removing the dash to replace the HVAC air blend door motor. He also managed to find some new foam to replace the degraded foam around the main HVAC housing outlet. Now more of the air gets to the cabin :-) Great attention to detail for my beloved old car! With Matt's help we plan to put another 100K miles on it. read more
