This is my experience. Had heard good things about Bubba's Automotive. Went in and talked to them…read more(9-08) about working on my vehicle. Gave them all the details and also told them I was not in any rush for the vehicle. They scheduled work to start on 9-15. Dropped off vehicle on 9-11. Went in on 9-22 (day 8) to check on status. When asked, the owner got annoyed that I was even asking the question. He accused me of trying to rush the job. Again, I said that I was not in a rush for the vehicle, I just wanted to be kept informed on its status. Went in again on 11-3 (day 50) to verify they still had my phone number, (had heard nothing from them). The owner told me nothing had been done on my vehicle. I got a call on 11-14 (day 64) that the vehicle was ready. I went in on 11-17 (day 67) to pick it up. Paid the bill  ($1425.00) and went out to the vehicle. It started but it had a miss. Shut off and started it again, still missing. Went back in and told the owner of the miss. His response was "So?". I told him that the vehicle was not  roadable. He said "I got it running so now you want me to do a full tune-up?". Again, I told him it has to be roadable. He then brought up that , per him, I had tried  rushing the job. If 67+ days to do a job is "Rushing", then I am guilty. As of 1-9 (day 120 ) , I have heard nothing and the "Rushed job" is still not complete.  Please draw your own conclusion.

He would charge you for it. This happened on numerous occasions. This is because I trusted this shop. I have proof of this from other mechanics I used. Sometimes my vehicle would sit at his shop for days until I call him. He would tell me to pick it up the next. I would pay him and a few days later I was back at his shop for the same repair. This happened often because I thought he could be trusted. Now I know. I will never use Tri City Auto again. NEVER.

Been a week since informing Christian Brothers that a competent third party has suggested that the…read moreshift linkage was the issue with my Ford Ranger that is under warranty that I spent over $5,500 with Christian Brothers to have repaired has not received any reply. Pathetic comes to mind. Other words like trustworthiness, dependability, customer service, reliability, and honesty; keep coming to mind also. Mistaking "Christian" in the name was my mistake. Christians honor those words like they are part of scripture. Being a partly disabled senior that depends on dependable transportation, I placed myself into a dire financial situation, going into debt, and now have my dependable means of transportation sitting out there in the drive because of incompetent people who told me to drive it until it breaks being the only means of having it properly repaired. Sound very asinine to me. Three times it was "Check out" and three times returned without being repaired or even reasonably diagnosed. Noticing my distress and anxiety, my Preacher asked what was going on? After explaining the difficulties I was having with CB and my truck, he suggested the shift linkage was the problem. After church, he and I did several tests, the same I did in front of the CB manager, and he pointed out exactly what was happening and not happening with the transmission. To get confirmation, I did some research on the internet, and yes, the symptoms described for the shift linkage are exactly as what has been the issue all along with my truck. Word of mouth is the best form of advertisement. And I have a very BIG MOUTH and I am shouting very loudly to everyone to "keep clear of Christian brothers." All the more reliable shops around town have waiting list of days or even over a week. That was one reason for my error in judgement in the first place; I couldn't get into the shop I normally use so since CB had no waiting and I needed my truck to get around I hurriedly made a grave and costly mistake it seems. Sadly we are now living in such an environment where trustworthy, competent, and honorable businesses are getting hard find, and those that are still out there that do still have those qualities have so much business it is hard to get an appointments to get in.

Highly recommended for anyone living on the southeast side of town. Mind you it might be a bit of a…read moredrive for some of you (especially if you come from say La Porte or Pearland), but you'll be impressed with this professional service and your time will be well spent for all your car troubles. First and foremost, you do have to make an appointment before coming to the shop (you can't just walk in). However, Bonnie and Phil will try to fit you in when they can, and they really do care about your well being and vehicle. So make sure you call their shop and schedule an appointment; I found that out late but better late than never. I had them fix my AC unit on my 1997 Chevy S10. It wasn't blowing cool air and of course we gotta have air in the Texas summers. Within 5-6 hours, Phil was able to diagnose my problem, find a new hose, do a few tests, and fix my AC without having to spend boatloads of dollars. And before they proceed with any repairs, Bonnie will call you up with an estimate which includes parts and labor costs. From here on in, I'm gonna go here if I ever have a car problem or concerns about anything with either of my vehicles. Locals have been coming here for well over 20 years and I can see why.
