Went on a family vacation and booked with performance Tours Rafting with a group of 14 people. They split us up into two boats of 7 our guides were Drew and Joe. Both did an excellent job on explaining the safety procedures and what to do Incase there is an event of "swimmers" that are very easy to follow Incase it were to happen. I was on the boat with joe who made the experience very enjoyable he was very entertaining as well as informative. He made us feel very confident when on the water that we were in good hands. This company goes on the rafts in groups and are constantly regrouping Incase there is an incident where a boat flips they regroup and instantly go to help the boat and ensure everyone safety is a priority. They provide all the necessary equipment from water shoes, wet suits, helmets and life jackets. GREAT JOB PERFORMANCE TOURS. We will be returning next year and anytime someone ask for recommendations on what to do while I'm Colorado they will be our first recommendation. Don't think twice about booking with them you will have an experience of a life time. read more

We rafted with PT twice in the same week. The first trip was a half-day in Buena Vista, it was great!! PT is a well-oiled machine and so professional! We met, Grace, one of PT's guides at a local establishment and she recommended we raft the Royal Gorge on a full-day trip with PT in Canon City. So we did and WOW what an AMAZING experience. While the operation is much smaller in Canon City, it is stacked with knowledgeable guides that have been guiding the gorge for many, many years. Our guide, Tye, was phenomenal. With 17 years of guide experience, he was so extremely knowledgeable and knew how to guide our raft safely through every rapid small and large. This is not a flashy, touristy operation, but if want to ride the river safely and have the time of your life, Performance Tours for the win!! read more

Don't listen to the 1 star review made June 2016, that bad experience does not define this company's determination to have a fun, daring and satisfactory experience with their customers. The safety briefing isn't boring and is full of useful information if anything were to happen. The tour guides (employees) are all super easy going and take the safety of their boat crew seriously. They also care for anyone in the river at the time, no matter the company. Our tour guide Joe was charismatic and made the experience one to always remember. Highly recommend this company to anyone looking to raft for the first time. read more

We did the Royal Gorge half day trip! It was an odd group of my partner and I, who had been rafting once before, and my little brother and mother who had never gone. The staff took great care of us, making sure we had all the gear we needed and understood all the safety talks. That came in handy when half of our raft went overboard (we went backwards into a class IV rapid, whoops), but Joe was amazing and made sure everyone got back in safely. The other guides pulled over to make sure we were okay and the other rafters fished our paddles out of the water for us. Highly recommend :) read more

My boyfriend and I were down in Canon City for the day doing some sight seeing. We drove past Performance Tours and saw the buses loading with a group. We stopped by and asked about pricing, not expecting to get to raft that day. They were more than welcoming to us and squeezed us in that SAME DAY. We had such a great time with John, Benny D., and Bundy. They were so knowledgeable and made the experience so wonderful. We would absolutely recommend this place to anyone. Professional, affordable, and so much fun! read more

Performance Tours Rafting was the highlight of our trip to Royal Gorge. The employees, especially Rachel, and the guides Curtis, Drew, and most especially, Corine, are amazing. Corine was our half day tour guide. She really knows the river, the raft, how to treat her "swimmers"! Thankfully, because of her skills, we were "paddlers"!! My wife and I enjoyed the experience, and highly suggest those desiring a great rafting experience, go with these folks! read more

I went to Performance Rafting while on a trip with my friends, and I have to admit that I'm pleasantly surprised. The staff was all very friendly, and the information and service were easy to follow. While out on the water, our tour guided, Joe, was an excellent conversationalist; and an even better guide. Though this company is smaller than others, it is greater in value, and a worthwhile experience for anyone interested in the fun of whitewater rafting. read more

Performance Tours provides a SAFE, FUN adventure. We were a group of 6 with an apprehensive 9 year old. Joe made my daughter feel safe and by the end of the tour she was paddling and jumping in the water. I looked at a lot of different companies for whitewater rafting and chose Performance Tours for their experience and dedication to safety. It was a great day and we would book with them again in a heartbeat. Thanks Performance Tours! read more

The guys where awesome! Everyone was super helpful and easy going. They went above and beyond to make it a safe and fun experience. Absolutely loved that they had pups, cornhole, basketball, and a pond to explore while we waited for everyone to arrive. The check in process was easy, the safety and gear demo was through. The half day course was a great 1st time trip that my entire family loved. Can't wait to come back! read more

I went rafting with 4 of my girlfriends, 2 of which were first-time rafters- our guide was Drew and he was absolutely amazing!! We felt so safe with him and he made it an absolute blast providing plenty of comic relief. Would highly recommend PT to anyone. We loved supporting a family owned business who actually cares about the safety of their rafters. We will definitely be requesting Drew if we ever make it back!! read more
